At the turn of every year, there is so much focus on the lists of things to do, the resolutions, the goals, and all the things. These things are definitely encouraged, but let’s turn some of that energy towards the things that don’t serve our mind, body, and soul in the way that we need.

This episode is about the things I ain’t doing that also help prioritize self care. Sometimes it isn’t about doing more to be better but doing less to be our best. I am sure you may have some things you need to consider that you ain’t doing either. Join the conversation by listening, sharing and talking about it with your friends and family.

As the end of 2022 approaches, let's take a quick glimpse back over how far we have come with a quick recap. Then we get into dealing with endings and new beginnings. It is a perfect time to work on closure for the things that happened (not just this year but any year) in our life that we need to turn the page on. Not to forget, but move forward with a lighter load. Self care has so many layers to it and we pull back another part in today’s conversation.

This episode is about acknowledging the endings that didn’t go the way you wanted and being okay with grieving. New beginnings doesn’t mean the hard things didn’t happen, we learn to feel the feelings and let them out.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and New Year!

As the gift giving holidays approach, we must not forget about ourselves. It's always fun to treat yourself with your favorite purchases, but there are some free gifts that you can also give to yourself all year round. Pampering yourself and being more vulnerable may not be natural and has to be learned, but you deserve it.

This episode is about ways to love yourself, the power of forgiveness, and speaking up about what you really want for your holiday gifts.

Everyone wants to win in every season of life, but yet some seasons just aren’t about winning. The lessons are more important than getting to the next level. As we strive to prioritize self care and do the work, some seasons require us to get really uncomfortable. It may seem silent but the signs are all around us once we turn inward and get in tune with ourselves.

This episode we get into the parts of self care that aren’t always talked about because it’s not easy to see. It’s the lessons in the times when we don’t know what’s next and don’t understand the assignment required for the next chapter in our story. In the season of seeking out an unknown harvest for my life I found myself reaping in unlikely areas. Self care also looks like healing.

The daily habits that we perform are things that contribute to how we treat ourselves. Is it time that you take a look at the activities in your life that you have on repeat? Like most, it is beyond time. Are you always being told you are strong and can handle anything? Strong doesn’t always mean carrying a heavy load. In the spirit of keeping it easy, I talk about ways to boost your confidence, setting flexibility goals (for your hips not your time), the importance of a mindless time out, plus a realistic challenge for your day. I am definitely ready for this much needed morning coffee talk. And I hope you are too!

How many times do you leave a situation with things you didn't intend to take? Things like guilt, frustration, and sadness. I think we have all been there before a few times. Too often we are carrying a load that we never intended to pick up.

As we enter into this Thanksgiving holiday, I want to talk with you about enjoying the space that you didn't even know you needed. This week I am saying some of the things that we don't often acknowledge or want to admit, but it's time you celebrate the things you have been overlooking. Just because it's tradition, doesn't mean you have to keep doing it. And in this time of social distancing and staying home, it's okay to confess (without guilt) that you do find moments of joy and gratefulness in new spaces.

This year is heavy, right? As soon as you think you may be recovering from the impact of one issue, another one pops up, then another one, and it suddenly starts to feel like you are all alone in a list of spiraling issues. Even if you know there are no right now answers, how do you even begin to get through it?

Sometimes sisterhood is needed for the heavy load. Not to make it go away but as a means of self care to be heard, understood, and supported. This week, I am talking with guests Camesha and Jennifer about some of the current issues that are weighing us down. This conversation is to support each other and the many others who may be feeling the overwhelm of a pandemic, systemic injustice, racism, and more.
