Coronavirus is changing our world. College campuses are no exception. Within a few days, everything changed for college students. Classes went online, students were sent home; total upheaval. We are going to examine what this means for Barnard College students and professors. Join us as we explore this changing semester on a virtual campus.
In this episode we do something a little different. Students from The First Year Seminar on Sustainability act as a panel talking about the class and their first year experience. Professor Brian Mailloux acts as the moderator using questions that the class developed. The students have good insights and advice about first year and Barnard.
In this episode, Maanal Chowdhury interviewed four college students, from different academic years and colleges to hear about how they feel about the pass/fail system in their respective universities. Maanal interviewed these students to learn more about their experience on how they were on the forefront of trying to implement a grading policy change or supported their peers' efforts in establishing one.
In this episode, Grace Nguyen interviews current international students who are either stuck abroad or have returned home to explore their thought process during their respective decisions and how they are coping. For students who have remained abroad, how has life been for them? Are they on track with their online courses? And for those who have already returned, how are they waking up for their 4AM classes?
In this episode, Areej Qadeer interviews current medical students at the Yale School of Medicine and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center to explore how medical education and training is evolving in the face of COVID-19. Sofia, a third-year medical student at Yale widely known as @thisgirlnamedsofia on Instagram, reflects on her experience completing clinical rotations during the pandemic while Sidrah Shah (third-year medical student at UT Southwestern) and Hanya Qureshi (first-year medical student at Yale) share how they are adjusting to remote medical education.
In this episode I interviewed people from different parts of the world about their experience with COVID-19 and how is the situation in their country.
Dana Neacsu works at Columbia University School of Law as a librarian and teaches Environmental Law at Barnard College. Her classes went online this semester. For the final classes she asked students what they wanted to discuss. Given student suggestions and the popularity of Tiger King on Netflix she created this class which was turned into this episode. The class focuses on student presentations about recent endangered species violations, and additional statutory issues - different from the Endangered Species Act which was the bread and butter of the class.
Follow the journey of two High School Seniors in Singapore who navigate this pandemic as they struggle and cope with an early start to summer in quarantine. Gap year plans hold uncertainty while those starting college in fall are doubtful to attend as early as September.

The CW's Supernatural has always been a show about fighting the good fight in the darkest of times. While the coronavirus pandemic may have stopped the show in the process of filming the final episodes of the series, sending fans into a panic over the fate of their beloved characters. Nonetheless, this uniquely passionate and powerful fanbase has taken this as an opportunity to band together and spread hope and kindness.
