Adrienne Ash has served as a pastor at Vineyard Columbus for nearly a decade and currently leads as the Westerville Community Pastor. In this role, she helps people connect deeply with one another and with God, creating a sense of family within the church. With degrees in Community Services and Family Development, Adrienne brings a strong foundation in building healthy relationships and fostering inclusive community life. She is especially passionate about walking alongside singles in their Christian journey and engaging in the ongoing work of racial reconciliation.
Shareena Casey is the Worship Pastor at Vineyard Columbus where she enjoys helping others connect with God. Shareena has served at VC as a worship leader for 15 years. She is a graduate of Rich Nathan's Pastors Residency Program and is a single mom of two energetic children! She loves taking walks with a coffee mug in hand, thrives in one-on-one conversation and loves to laugh.

Whilst walking through our darkest moments, 'all shall be well' may feel trite, especially when our world is crashing down around us. Listen in as Julia chats with Karen Twinem, longtime member and co-leader of the support group Loving Someone With Mental Illness. Karen shares her journey of caring for several family members diagnosed with mental illness, and how through her most difficult circumstances, she encounters and learns to walk daily with Jesus. You'll hear the true joy in her voice that can only come from a life deeply intertwined and with daily reliance upon Christ.
Karen Twinem retired after 30 years as a journalist, creative director and public relations counselor. She was a co-founder and leader of a Vineyard support group for families dealing with severe and persistent mental illness. The teachings from that group can be found at www.lovingsomeonewithmentalillness.com. She serves at Vineyard Columbus today as a small group co-leader and prayer ministry team member. Now... 'all shall be well' sounds great, but it is sometimes truly hard to believe! In this series, we're looking at some anxiety-producing topics through Julian of Norwich's lens of faith, hope, and love.
Today, Julia interviews Ron Schmidt, whose passion for creation care (especially about achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions) is filled with conviction, curiosity, and hope. Listen in as one of our sages talks about his passion for the earth, his concern about climate change, and why he believes that working towards an impossible and an important goal is both life-giving and the best use of who God made him to be.
Ron grew up in a working-class family in Milwaukee and graduated with his MBA and BBA with an accounting major from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. While beginning his career in public accounting, during which time he obtained his CPA, Ron eventually moved into banking. In 1983, Ron relocated to Columbus to join Bank One, which, ultimately, became JPMorgan Chase. After retirement in 2009, Ron joined Vineyard Columbus, graduating from Vineyard Institute in 2014. Only recently (2024) did he become actively involved in creation care. Ron is married and has four adult children and four grandchildren. You can contact Ron at: ron.creationcare@gmail.com.
Julian of Norwich lived in the Middle Ages through the Black Plague and is one of the church's most recognized mystics. She wrote the earliest surviving book in the English language written by a woman, Revelations of Divine Love, in which we find her well known reflection: Here I was taught by the grace of God that I should steadfastly hold me in the Faith ... and that ... I should take my stand on and earnestly believe in ... that ‘all manner of thing shall be well'.

They talk about their own faith mentors, intergenerational faith, the joys and challenges of being a sage in the church, and what it means to develop intergenerational communities where we all learn from and enjoy one another. Thanks to the generous seed money from VC's Kingdom Builders – a group of members who want to give above and beyond their tithe to redemptive, impactful projects like this one – and with a sustainable model relying on fee-for-service and Medicaid billing, AIM Day Services will provide a safe and enriching space for adults affected by disability. Imagine a place where participants can engage in worship, devotions, art, fitness, music, outings, and so much more! Plus, they'll have the incredible opportunity to develop employability skills by partnering with our café, facilities team, the bookstore, and other ministries. The program will operate Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm. This remarkable achievement is the result of the tireless dedication of Amanda Fessehazion and her amazing team, Sherry Chapin and Freddie Losambe. Since September 2024, they've poured their hearts into this God-inspired vision, visiting other centers, researching best practices, completing over 40 hours of specialized training, crafting an engaging program calendar, building enrollment processes, mastering Medicaid billing, and connecting with future participants. Building a program of this scale from the ground up is no small feat, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and commitment.

About a quarter of Vineyard Columbus is foreign born, so this is a very personal conversation for many! And Julia's mother was born in a DP camp after WW2 and entered the US as a refugee when she was a child, so it's personal for her too. It's also personal for our guests: Dr Seleshi Asfaw is President and CEO of ETSS, an immigration and refugee organization here in Columbus. Flo Gimei is on the board of ETSS, she herself came to the US decades ago, and she's a long time member of Vineyard Columbus.

Dr. Seleshi Ayalew Asfaw, currently the President & CEO of ETSS, has an extensive and distinguished background in the medical and public health fields. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, followed by a master's in public health Methodology, Education, and Behavioral Sciences from the Public Health School in Brussels, Belgium. He has been a driving force behind the design and implementation of ETSS Adult and Youth refugee programs, reflecting his deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing new immigrants. His passion for aiding their transition to life in the United States is evident in his work.
Flo Gimei is a dedicated wife of over 25 years and a proud mother of 2 adult children. She is a Technology Executive Director in the financial industry and has served on the ETSS board for 3 years. She has been a member of Vineyard Columbus for 20+ years where she has actively served as a small group leader for over 15 years, a leader of the International Women's Breakfast, and she has also served as a member of the Church Council.

Welcome back and happy 2025! The In Between is back with a series of conversations about what MLK Jr called the beloved community... this dream of unity marked by kingdom multi-ethnicity, diversity, and a deep orientation to the truth of the Imago Dei - that each human is made in the image of God from the very first moments a new life is forming in the womb.
Okay. Poetic language and lofty imagery aside, becoming a community like this IS HARD work, IRL (In Real Life). Multiethnic community comes as a grace, as well as with a cost. We're all made in the image of God, yes - but we all also have really different layers that make up who we are. We all are part of His kingdom, yes - but we all have really different cultures and ways of being and norms. We all have value, and we're all sisters and brothers in Christ, yes - but we often find it easier to hang out in our silos or bubbles with folks just like us.

During her lifetime, JoAnne Bland has been a witness and participant in some of our nation’s most consequential civil rights battles. She began her civil rights activism in the early 1960s. The Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) activists organized Bland and other area children and teenagers to participate in the civil rights movement. In the front lines of the struggle, the young Bland marched on "Bloody Sunday" and "Turn Around Tuesday," and the first leg of the successful March from Selma to Montgomery, witnessing brutal beatings of fellow marchers by police. The young Bland was also one of seven Black students to integrate A. G. Parish High School. By the time she was 11 years old Bland had been arrested 13 times. Ms. Bland’s early involvement in the struggle against “Jim Crow” has been the foundation for her civil and human rights work throughout her life. She’s a much sought after speaker with a compelling personal story of civil rights activism, and has spoken around the country. Currently, Ms. Bland is the owner and operator of Journeys For The Soul, a touring agency that specializes in Civil Rights tours with a major focus on Selma, Alabama.

He has partnered with Christian colleges and universities to help students navigate mental health and politics. He is co-host of the Good Faith podcast which discusses how Christian faith intersects with culture, politics, work, entertainment, and other aspects of life. His most recent project The After Party promotes a Christ-centered political identity to combat toxic polarization through a six-session online course and book releasing from Zondervan in April 2024. Curtis is a former senior pastor and author of several books including "The Anxiety Opportunity: How Worry Is the Doorway to Your Best Self."

Refugee Experience
Central Ohio has been a warm, welcoming city for immigrants and refugees for many years. Join us to learn more about newcomers in our area, the refugee resettlement process, and to difficulties newcomers face as they strive to be stable and successful here in Columbus. We will also learn about how we can lend a hand in this success by using our skills and talents to serve refugee families in the first few months of resettlement. Teresa Gibson, the Welcome Team Coordinator at CRIS (Community Refugee & Immigration Services) along with a refugee speaker will share and answer questions.

Two peoples, Jews and Palestinian Arabs, lay claim to the same piece of land. But who does it really belong to? Scripture, history, and contemporary politics add to the volatile conflict in the Middle East. Today we're joined by Rev. Colin Chapman, author of Whose Promised Land, to address the current, continuing conflict in the Middle East.
Rev. Colin Chapman was born in India and brought up in Scotland. He was ordained in the Episcopal Church in Scotland and has taught at Coptic Evangelical Seminary, and served on staff at the Anglican Cathedral, in Cairo, Egypt. In the mid-70s, early 80s – Colin was the Regional Secretary for the Middle East with IFES (the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) based in Beirut, Lebanon. He taught at Trinity College in Bristol, and taught Islamic Studies at Near East School of Theology, in Beirut, Lebanon. Since retirement, Colin has also taught at Arab Baptist Theological Seminary, Beirut, and Bethlehem Bible College.

How should we think about miracles? Are they simply something Jesus did? Do miracles happen today? Why are we so skeptical when people say they've witnessed a miraculous healing or supernatural event? In this episode, Dr. Craig Keener shares the concrete evidence he's discovered for reasonable belief in modern-day miracles.
Craig S. Keener (PhD, Duke University) is F. M. and Ada Thompson Professor of Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary. He is author of thirty-four books, with some 1.4 million copies in circulation. The books have won thirteen national or international awards, including six in Christianity Today. These include The IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament and major academic commentaries. He has also authored roughly one hundred academic articles; seven booklets; and roughly two hundred popular-level articles. In 2020 Craig was president of the Evangelical Theological Society. Craig is married to Dr. Médine Moussounga Keener, who was a refugee in her home country of Congo for eighteen months; her experience and their romance appears in Impossible Love (Chosen, 2016).

Jay Pathak is the National Director of Vineyard USA. He also serves as the Lead Pastor of the Mile High Vineyard, a family of neighborhood churches in Denver, Colorado.
Jay co-wrote a book called The Art of Neighboring: Building Genuine Relationships Right Outside Your Door back in 2012. Jay regularly thinks of ministry in context of culture and developing relationships and partnerships in the city, government, and across denominational lines. Jay has led in various contexts throughout the Vineyard starting as an intern for Rich Nathan here at Vineyard Columbus in his early ministry days, and stretching into various positions of trans-local leadership including serving on the Vineyard USA Executive Team for many years. He is a sought-after speaker and coach and has a BA in Philosophy from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute. Jay met his wife, Danielle, in high school and they were married in 1998; they have two beautiful daughters, Jasmine and Sofia.

Jim Herrington has been a pastor and pastor to pastors for 35 years.
He is the co-author of three books, including The Leader's Journey, and he is the co-founder of Faithwalking, a spiritual formation process that equips people to live missionally. This coming November, Ohioans are going to see a proposed amendment on their ballot. You can find a link to the text of that amendment in our shownotes. There's been a lot of emotion in Ohio right now about reproductive rights / abortion - and also a lot of confusion. This past summer, we held a special election here that was aimed at changing our Ohio Constitution to make it HARDER to pass ANY kind of constitutional amendment. That had a surprisingly large turnout, and failed... and while it didn't specifically engage the question of abortion access, it was certainly levied by political conservatives as a protection against what's coming on this coming November's ballot from progressive side of this conversation.
The idea was to make it more difficult to pass any amendment to Ohio's constitution and since it didn't pass... the standard rules remain: to pass an amendment to Ohio's constitution, it takes a simple majority vote, or 51%. In other words, this coming vote needs over 50% to embed the measure into our constitution.
What we want to do in today's special episode is to clearly explain what the proposed amendment says, means, and doesn't say. We want to also lay out what is real currently regarding Ohio law, abortion access, and the realities about care for women and children. We're doing this because we believe strongly in demonstrating a consistent ethic of life... which comes from our fundamental belief as Christians that all are made in the Image of God, and all life is to be treated with honor and dignity... especially the lives of those most vulnerable, as scripture says over and over again. Christians can and do disagree about policy... about what particular ways are the best ways to legislate in support of a consistent ethic of life. So we want to help equip you to prayerfully discern this policy issue at hand... and to consider wisely and Christianly how to engage in this ballot issue. Rev. Esau McCaulley, PhD is an associate professor of New Testament at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. He is the author of many works including Sharing in the Son’s Inheritance and the Children’s Book Josie Johnson Hair and the Holy Spirit. His book Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope won numerous awards, including Christianity Today’s book of the year. His latest project is a memoir entitled: How far to the Promise Land: One Family’s Story of Hope and Survival in the American South.
He is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times. His writings have also appeared in places such as The Atlantic, Washington Post, and Christianity Today. He is married to Mandy, a pediatrician and navy reservist. Together, they have four wonderful children.

The term influencer has come to be known across social media platforms as people who have knowledge or expertise in certain areas of life and culture. But what does a Christian influencer look like? Listen in as Elizabeth Ranade Janis shares about her personal journey of advocacy and leadership on our first episode of the Influencer Series.
Elizabeth Ranade Janis serves as Senior Safeguarding Advisor for World Vision where she leads United States’ efforts to prevent harm and abuse of vulnerable children and adults served through relief and development programs around the world. Over the last 15 years, Elizabeth has built and championed large-scale programs, policies and initiatives to serve and empower vulnerable, marginalized and exploited individuals domestically and abroad.
She has led the Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, created by Governor John R. Kasich. Elizabeth also developed and worked to implement the first comprehensive statewide response to sex and labor trafficking. She has previously worked in international humanitarian relief and anti-human trafficking programs in Eastern Europe and Southern Africa.
In recent years, she also served as Executive Director for a Christian legal aid organization in Northern Virginia and has provided strategy consulting to various anti-human trafficking NGOs.
Elizabeth holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Development from the Ohio State University. She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband James and their two children. In her spare time, Elizabeth can be found in her hammock with a good book.

Janice has been a member of Vineyard Columbus for 25 years this Summer. She and her husband Paul will celebrate 24 years of marriage this September and live in Westerville. Janice is a licensed Doctor of Pharmacy, having graduated from the WVU School of Pharmacy 31 years ago. Since retiring from full-time work in cancer research in 2018, she maintains involvement with the WVU SOP serving as a board member on the Leadership Council. She enjoys volunteering with our VCC Health Clinic, Westerville Area Resource Ministries and also gives of her time to two local animal welfare organizations.
Sammy started attending Vineyard Columbus shortly after she and her husband moved to the area in the Fall of 2021. Sammy is an EMT and has a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in international health, disaster health, and emergency preparedness. Before becoming the Health Clinics Coordinator at Vineyard Columbus, Sammy worked on a disaster assistance response team responding to needs in several countries including Mongolia, Haiti, and Ukraine. She also spent time working on a critical care ambulance in Los Angeles, California. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, biking, traveling, and cooking.

Matt Croasmun is an Associate Research Scholar and the Director of the Life Worth Living program at the Yale Center for Faith & Culture at Yale Divinity School and a Lecturer of Divinity and Humanities at Yale University. He is also a staff pastor at the Elm City Vineyard Church in New Haven, CT. Matt’s deepest passion is for teaching. He believes education should help us learn, most of all, what it means to be human and how to discern the nature of true life. Matt earned his B.A. in Music from Yale College and an M.A.R. in Bible from Yale Divinity School. After the Divinity degree, he and his wife Hannah spent a summer at the Akrofi-Christaller Institute in Akropong-Akuapem, Ghana, studying with the great African theologian, Kwame Bediako, whose work has profoundly impacted the way Matt sees theology and culture. Matt then returned to Yale for his Ph.D. in Religious Studies (New Testament).

Alan Johnson is an Indiana native and 1973 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism and political science. He spent 44 years as a newspaper reporter, winning state and national awards for his coverage of government, mental health, prisons, human trafficking, and human-interest stores. Alan wrote for the Columbus Dispatch where he covered most of Ohio’s 54 executions over 18 years, including serving as an in-person media witness for 21 years.
Alan enrolled at Asbury Theological Seminary in 2008, later earning a Master’s in Ministry (2014) and Doctor of Ministry (2020) from Ashland Theological Seminary.
He authored a book, Death and Forgiveness, My Capital Punishment Witness, in 2022.

Today we’re joined by two experts who will be sharing about doing the hard work of building and sustaining multicultural ministry through the art of radical inclusion.
Dr. Dave Anderson is the founder and President of Gracism Global- one of the world’s leading authorities on bridging the deep divides of race, faith, culture, and wealth. Known as the bridge-building voice in the Nation's Capital, Anderson hosts the daily radio talk show "Real Talk with Dr. David Anderson" – the most listened to Christian talk station on the East Coast. As the founder and senior pastor of Bridgeway Community Church, Dr. Anderson reaches a multicultural congregation of over 10,000 weekly attendees from more than 60 nations, viewed online in over 100 countries, with locations in Columbia and Owings Mills, Maryland. David is also the Pastor of Multicultural Bridge Building at Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, Maryland, where over 60 different nations are represented in the church body. David graduated from the Center for Justice and Peace-building at Eastern Mennonite University with a Master’s Degree in Conflict Transformation. He is training for his first Half Ironman and loves spending time outdoors with his wife, Julie, and their 8-year-old daughter.

So often when we hear the word sin, it conjures up legalistic rules in our minds or a boundary we better not break. But what if the Seven Deadly Sins actually point us to more than a set of rules? What if they serve as a self-diagnostic tool which may instead facilitate a life of formation and Christ-likeness?
Dr. Rebecca Deyoung has enjoyed teaching ethics and the history of ancient and medieval philosophy at Calvin University for 25 years. Her research focuses on the seven deadly sins, and virtue ethics, as well as Thomas Aquinas’s work on the virtues. She’s written extensively about various vices and virtues – one of those books, Glittering Vices (A New Look at the Seven Deadly Sins and Their Remedies) we will be discussing today. Awards for her work include the Book and Essay Prize from the Character Project and the C.S. Lewis prize for Glittering Vices. She speaks widely, including opportunities to teach in prison. She and her family live in Grand Rapids, near the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline.

Dr. John Kim
Just a couple of weeks ago, the largest bank failure since 2008, Silicon Valley Bank, failed. In reaction, people today are experiencing vast financial woes and appropriate questions. "What should I do with my money, how can I spot a good investment, did cryptocurrency really collapse, should I lean towards being risk averse or risk tolerant?” Today we’re discussing how we as followers of Jesus can best avoid common finance pitfalls while learning and cultivating the art of financial wisdom. How can we really discern the difference between finances and fairy tales?
John Kim is an entrepreneur, investor, church planter and pastor. He is the founder of Bored Room Ventures- a Web3/Blockchain agency and venture fund. He also founded the Karamaan Group, a long-term investing firm that takes ownership interests in public and private companies. Previously, he was a partner at MSD Capital – the family office overseeing the assets of Michael Dell.
John received his Ph.D. in economics from MIT focused on Game Theory and Finance, and did his B.A. at Harvard University studying applied math and economics. He currently teaches algebra at a correctional facility.
John is a member of the Board of Trustees of Vineyard USA, and also a Board member of Vineyard Manhattan in New York City. He and his wife Kara and son Samuel reside in midtown Manhattan. John is a long-suffering NY Knicks fan, and reckons himself an expert on burgers, sandwiches, and donuts!

Adrienne and Kerry talk with pastor Julian Adams about practical ways in which we can engage in the personal renewal of the Holy Spirit. She and her husband of 17 years have been a part of Vineyard Columbus since 1998. Julia interviews Dr Julia Sadusky (Psy D, Regent University) about belonging and loneliness. Dr Sadusky serves as an educator, offering trainings and consultations to churches, counseling centers, and faith-based institutions on sexuality, gender identity, mental health, trauma-informed care, and the intersection of sexuality, gender, and theology. Dr. Sadusky’s specialty is in sexual and gender identity research and clinical practice. Her dissertation focused on the experience of loneliness in Christian sexual minorities who have committed to singleness.

Kaisa Stenberg-Lee is a dear friend of Julia's, and they spent years doing life together in Amsterdam. Kaisa was born and raised in Finland, studied Education in Wales and lived and worked in Amsterdam, the Netherlands for nearly a decade after that. She spent much of her life in cross-cultural missions, and more specifically, in pastoral ministry to children, youth and families. She pioneered a missional youth ministry with YWAM Amsterdam, and served on the pastoral staff of an international church, Amsterdam Vineyard. Kaisa now lives in Denver, CO and offers spiritual direction, retreats and prayer tools for children and adults through her private practice, Kutsu Companions.
Lacy Finn-Borgo teaches and provides spiritual direction for the Renovaré Institute as well as the Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Direction at Fuller Theological Seminary. She teaches classes on spiritual direction and spiritual formation at Portland Seminary and serves as a faculty advisor for the DMin. in Leadership and Spiritual Formation. Lacy provides spiritual direction for adults through GoodDirtMinistries.org and provides spiritual direction for children at Haven House, which is a transitional housing facility for homeless families.

We're celebrating a sage as we mark Bill's retirement from pastoral staff and are blessed by his reflections on past, present, and future.
Bill Christensen is retiring after serving on staff at Vineyard Columbus for 24 years, and as the International Ministries Pastor for the last 10 years. Before coming to Columbus in August 1997, he was General Manager of Vineyard Ministries International in Anaheim, California. He and his family (wife Dotty and children, Brooke, Nathan and Eva) spent 11 years in Morocco, North Africa where he was Director of a Moroccan-American Cultural Center and involved in sharing Jesus with Muslims. Previous to his overseas work, Bill was a campus staff worker with Inter-Varsity. Bill is a graduate of Michigan State University and University of Cincinnati.

Dave Kuta started on staff with Vineyard Columbus in October of 2017 as a ministry assistant with our Support for Life groups, though he’s been active in the church for over 20 years, volunteering with several different ministries. He did his undergraduate work at The Ohio State University and has a Master’s in Education from the University of Dayton. Dave is a licensed counselor and has a passion for seeing people experience God's healing through groups and through compassionate leaders. In 2003 he married the love of his life, Meg, and together they have a kind, vibrant, and beautiful daughter.

Pastor Jason Loehr and friends from Marriage & Family ministries talk vulnerably about marriage struggles, infidelity, repair, and hope for a pathway to reconciliation.
Jason has been a member of Vineyard Columbus for over seven years, and six of those have been on staff as a pastor in our Marriage & Family Life ministry. In those six years, Jason has recruited, trained and deployed volunteer coaches to lead, teach and facilitate ministry to couples across our church while also providing pastoral care to couples in crises. Prior to joining our staff, Jason was the Director of Student Ministry for Central College Presbyterian Church for 11 years and earned his Bachelor’s in Educational Ministries and Master of Ministry from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Jason has been married to his wife, Diane, for over 16 years and together have three sons, Esteban, Julian and Alex, and have been foster parents to nine boys over the past seven years.

That's why we do a lot of what we do - value life, food pantries, transitions, prison ministry, immigration counseling services, etc. - because we want to be a part of building a kingdom way in the world around us. She began her legal career in 1999 at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) in Washington DC, and then spent 14 years with the US Air force, first as an assistant staff judge advocate, and later as a military spouse and stay-at-home parent. Jeanine is currently the Director of Immigration Counseling Services at Vineyard Community Center, a faith-based non-profit that provides low cost and pro-bono legal services to immigrant community in central Ohio. Jeanine immigrated to the US at the age of 7 as a political refugee from Vietnam and is a part of the Vietnamese Bible Study Fellowship at Vineyard Columbus.

Rebuilding church in the midst of a fast-cultural-slide toward post-Christian America is no easy feat. Add into that mix a pandemic, social unrest... and then toss in changing behaviors among Christians regarding church attendance and it's clear there's no going back to normal. Julia talks with Pastor Amanda Pershing about rebuilding church, and why we want you to join a team!
Amanda started out as an intern at Vineyard Columbus in 2002 and then worked for 3 years as Pastor Rich Nathan’s Research Assistant. She then held several pastoral roles at VC working for our 20 Something Ministry, Women’s Ministry and our Small Group Ministry. In 2008, she and her family moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands for three years to plant a church with a team from Vineyard Columbus. In 2011, they returned to Columbus and she became the Community Life Pastor. Amanda currently oversees the Weekend and Connect Team which includes our in-person and online services. Amanda has three children ages 7, 10, 13. She loves to spend time outdoors riding her bike, a good cup of coffee/shameless plug to Crimson Cup, reading, and walking her boxer named Nat.

Pastor Anthony Cannon spent a little over 20 years in the US Army and retired as a Master Sergeant in 2003. He's been on pastoral staff at VC since 2009. He is married to his wife Nina, has 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren that are the loves of his life. Anthony loves people, fishing and cooking.
Pastor Andy Saperstein is a linguist, philosopher, and a plumber, has been married to his wife, Kathryn, for almost 39 years, and has been part of Vineyard Columbus for almost that long too. He has four kids, three grandkids, 20-some fish, one old dog, and lives in a creaky old house in the city. His passions are books, words, wisdom, old things, the out of doors, and working with his hands. He serves as a utility player at the church, but especially loves contributing to international mission and spiritual formation, and helping with curriculum projects. He's lived all over the world, but feels most at home in the woods and cities of the Great Lakes industrial Midwest.

Greg received his Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary, an MDiv from Yale Divinity School, and studied Philosophy at the University of Minnesota.
