Our services of Lessons & Carols is an adaptation of that service made famous by King’s College in Cambridge, England, with origins attributed to Truro Cathedral in Cornwall. Our services begin with the good news that a Savior will be born to us and ends with the call of the faithful to worship the newborn King. Carols, anthems, readings, and the message join together to retell that story in profound beauty.

In John 14, Jesus says “I assure you that whoever believes in me will do the works that I do.” The life of Peter offers maybe the clearest example. In Acts 9, Peter performs a miracle almost identical to one Jesus performs in Luke 8. Tabitha is healed and the Gospel is spread even further by the word of mouth. John Maxwell says, “People do not do what people hear, they do what they see.” Our lives create a picture that inspires people to follow our lead.
