(10/31/2020) This episode was recorded on Halloween 2020, but we never posted it because the audio was busted and unusable. I've tinkered with it off and on for a year trying to get it to a point where I felt I could post it and have it be halfway tolerable. I'm sure there are audio wizards out there who could fix it in less than an hour, but I just could not find the patience or the settings to achieve that. What you're about to hear (if you decided to be a champion and listen all the way through) was the best that I could get it to sound. Believe me, the original audio was FAR worse. I used a noise reduction filter to lessen the severity of Jeremiah's terrible audio and I chopped a ton of my audio to constantly resync my audio to his. We talk about how the Twilight Zone was a pretty progressive show for its time and dealt with a lot of issues like race and xenophobia, but looking back that progressivism was problematic because of how Hollywood chose to cast movies and tv shows at the time. We talk about the Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. We continue our game from last episode called "Actors Whose Names Sound Like Star Wars Characters." Despite this, we discuss the death and career of Carl Reiner, we try to pinpoint why the murder of George Floyd had such a significant impact and managed to lead to such sweeping changes in society including the seemingly heretofore impossible achievement of the Washington Redskins changing their name. We also talk about the possibility of Michael Keaton returning as Batman for a DC project.

(6/29/2020) Sorry. This one ran a little long. Jeremiah takes a break from doing his home exercises to join the podcast. We discuss voice acting and the issue of whether it's wrong or acceptable for people of a certain race to play people of other races. This leads us to the topic of movies sometimes casting traditionally white characters as ethnic to be more diverse when they should really just create new, strong ethnic characters that can stand on their own. We realized we dove right in and started talking about the topics so instead of editing we just did our show intro in the middle of the recording because it's more fun that way. I was in Steubenville, Ohio during this recording so we discuss some of the interesting things I discovered about the area and we talk about the passing of director Joel Schumacher. There's something unique about the Gen X angst of that era that's hard to authentically recreate. We also talk about the recent news out of Oklahoma State (both good and bad) about the renaming of a building named after a racist governor (good news) and the situation Mike Gundy found himself in recently (bad news). (6/2/2020) The killing of unarmed black men by the police has to stop. Something needs to change. Better police training, better background checks when hiring, whatever will help end this. George Floyd was killed for something as trivial as an alleged counterfeit $20 bill. His story is just one of so many thousands in the history of this country. We did not discuss this in depth because we are not the voices that need to be heard right now. We are unimportant. We wanted to release this episode to suggest places for people to donate or take action or to learn about police brutality. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but it is our small contribution to this issue.

(4/25/2020) Originally this was supposed to be a shorter bonus episode or mini-episode, but what usually happens with us is we just can't stop talking, so it turned into a full episode.
In this episode we discuss the Covid-19 outbreak and how it's affecting us, Caleb briefly forgets the word "politicians," Jeremiah counters by forgetting the word "status," and a weird audio issue (due to having to record by phone) causes audio drop outs followed by audio overlapping. The best effort was made to remove all audio dropouts, but you will hear several moments where one of us answers a question before the question is even asked then the question gets asked a few seconds later. Sorry, that couldn't really be fixed. Just roll with it.
