View Details

In the gospel of Jesus Christ, diversity can strengthen us against various trials and challenges. The apostle Paul explained that the Church of Christ is made up of many different members, as the body is made of different parts (1 Corinthians 12). Our diversity is important, but we must also seek unity in heart and mind (Moses 7:18).

View Details

As we remember who we are and where we come from through identity, foundation, prayer, and service, we will also be equipped to return to the Lord’s presence.

Home can be a holy place of peace amid the spiritual dangers of the world. In Doctrine and Covenants 87:8, the Lord taught, “Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord.”

View Details

In the gospel of Jesus Christ, we cannot allow ourselves to become overwhelmed by the scope of the messes we face in our own lives. We need to clean them up step by step, habit by habit, “here a little and there a little” (2 Nephi 28:30).

View Details

Pioneers are trailblazers. They lead the way for others to follow, laying “stepping-stones for generations.” They forge “onward, ever onward.” We can be pioneers in service, love, and courage, as were many of the Latter-day Saint pioneers.

Many of us have felt at times like the heavens are silent. But as we follow the Lord’s directions to search, ponder, and pray, humbling ourselves before God and becoming as little children, we can be led by the Lord.

View Details

Elder David A. Bednar taught, “An assignment to labor in a specific place is essential and important but secondary to a call to the work.” As we focus on the Lord’s work, we will find peace and satisfaction serving in His kingdom and stop worrying about where and how we are assigned to labor.

View Details

It can be difficult to forgive others when they have hurt us deeply. Change and forgiveness don’t just happen; they take effort. But through the healing power of Jesus Christ, we can fulfill the Lord’s commandment to “forgive all men” (Doctrine and Covenants 64:10).

View Details

View Details

The scriptures and modern revelation teach much of what we do know about the spirit world. But beyond the basics, President Dallin H. Oaks taught, "our canon of scripture contains very little about the spirit world that follows death and precedes the Final Judgment.” As we trust the Lord, remembering that He loves His children and allowing Him to direct our paths, we will find peace in what we do know.

View Details

We are asked to go forth, labor in the Lord's vineyard, and proclaim the truth the Lord has given us. We have been blessed with priesthood power to do this work on His behalf. With His influence, we are not left alone to find the Lord’s path.

View Details

When we are baptized, we are not likely to see the Spirit of God descending like a dove or hear the voice of God declaring His approval, as was the case when Jesus Christ was baptised. However, we are given the gift of the Holy Ghost when we are confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Lord is well pleased when we obey His commandments because He wants us to return to His presence.

When our homes are like heaven on earth, they can also be fortresses of spiritual strength. When we make home a place our families want to be because of the love, safety, and security there, Elder Ronald A. Rasband said we build a “fortress of spirituality and protection for our very souls, a fortress that cannot be penetrated by the evil one” (“Build a Fortress of Spirituality and Protection,” Rasband, April 2019).

Adversity is essential to our eternal progression, but this principle can sometimes be easier to understand in theory than in practice. This is in part because we have a limited mortal perspective.
