Young Irish jockey Oisin(pron U-sheen) Murphy is facing probably the biggest weekend of his burgeoning career to date.

The former Champion Apprentice takes the ride on Diamonds Pour Moi in the Oaks at Epsom, which many believe is his best chance so far at a classic win and then on Saturday he'll ride last years St Leger winner Simple Verse in the Group One Coronation Cup, the chief supporting race on Derby Day.

Trainer John Gosden has given the thumbs up to his two challengers for next week's Investec Derby after watching them work round the famous switchback at Epsom's traditional Breakfast with the Stars.

The favourite Golden Horn with Frankie Dettori up and Jack Hobbs ridden by William Buick will line up for the Blue Riband a week on Saturday, although the completion of the race may change depending on what other horses may be supplemented for the race on Monday.
