Who is Your Neighbor?
In the Bible Jesus tells a story about a man left to die on the side of the road until a stranger comes along and pulls him out of the ditch and restores him. Jesus said he was a "neighbor" to him.
Everyday we cross paths with people who need help, but we may never know it until we get close enough to see the ditch they are in. It begs the question, who's life could be changed if we stopped long enough to see their need? Who is your neighbor?

In today's heated culture and social climate, it takes courage to walk out your faith. In a time when we find courage lacking, it is important now more than ever that we know where to go to find the courage we need.
What Happens when God calls us to reach someone who doesn't look like us, think like us or act like us?" What if God called us to preach the Gospel to someone who hates Christians? That's exactly what happened to a man named Annanias in the book of Acts, when God called him to speak to Saul, a man who was persecuting Christians at the time. But Annanias saying yes to God, even when it was uncomfortable, led to a man who was killing Christians to become one of the greatest men for Jesus the world has ever known. What miracle could be waiting to happen if you just said "yes" to God?

It is a consistent reminder that God is a promise keeper. The colors of the rainbow demonstrate God’s artistry and how we should celebrate diversity, instead of allowing our differences to divide us. The rainbow’s connection with Noah and the ark is one to be considered in the hour we live in, because Jesus said as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be when the son of man returns. One of the most notorious characteristics of those days was the sexual perversion that was so prominent and once again, our world today is steeped in various forms of perversion - sinfulness that has highjacked the rainbow itself, attempting to use it as a brand.

Our memory is one of the greatest gifts we have been given. The Bible lets us know there are several things God wants us to remember.
To the young among us He admonishes to remember Him when we are young! God wants us living out our commitment to Him at the earliest age of accountability. For those who have fallen back into a life of sin or compromise, He warns us to remember the heights from which we have fallen. To those staying true to our commitment He cautions, “Remember Lot’s wife.” He doesn’t want us looking back upon our former life as something to return to. In addition, He actually invites us to remind Him of His promises when we find ourselves in need.
Through this series we will set ourselves some reminders so we can carry out all God expects of us and receive all He has promised.

A costume is what one wears to appropriately represent a certain country, time period or culture. With that in mind, we would do well to consider our spiritual costume. How are we dressed? How well do we represent the God we serve?
The Bible specifically tells us some things to take off and some things to put on. However, Jesus also warned us about wolves that often dress in sheep’s clothing. Through this series we will take a look in the mirror of God’s Word and get in costume so we can represent Christ in a way that is appropriate and authentic!

It is wise to lose some weight if we need to for the purpose of physical fitness. But the term ‘weight ’has implications beyond just physical pounds and ounces. In Bible days, commerce depended on weights as a means of measuring what one was buying and selling. False weights were often used as a means of swindling others and God condemned the practice. Today, we ‘weigh in ’when we share our opinion, and that too is something God desires to regulate. We ‘weigh ’our options as we make decisions, but are we really allowing God to lead us in the decision-making process? There are many things that can weigh us down on spiritual terms and that’s why the Bible encourages us to cast off every weight that hinders us from serving God like we should. Through this series we’ll lose weight in a way that will help us become more Godly and more spiritually fit!
