Above all, remember that there is always hope so keep going!

Lessons can be drawn from pieces of poetry and writings. In this conversation we draw some inspiration for the new year, from poetry written by Ijeoma Umebinyuo. Weâve chosen pieces that we highly resonate with.
Unprecedented, unique, out of this world, lockdown, shutdown, social distancing, quarantine, self-isolation...we heard it all and it has been A LOT!! To those of us here right now, we made it. It was quite the year and in todayâs podcast we talk about a few of the insights this year had to show us. Our hearts go out to all those who have had difficult experiences, we want to bring hope and peace. As clichĂ© as this sounds the end of the year means new things and a chance to start over. Peace and joy.
âIâm exactly where I need to be right nowâ. In this episode, I share some of my thoughts and reflections on embracing the phase that youâre in - Right here, right now. Rather than constantly focusing on whatâs next, ask yourself questions such as, âHow can I make the most of this phase?â, âWhat are some of the things that I should learn and/or unlearn during this phase?â
Remember that one day you will wake up, and it will be your last...so make the most of every moment in life.

Each of us has a unique story; some stories stem from painful experiences, while others stem from beautiful experiences (The stories can be a collection of both painful and beautiful experiences). These stories make us who we are. Itâs these stories that inform our perception of the world and the people around us. We have the choice to embrace our stories, both beautiful and painful. In this episode I have a conversation with Miriro and we talk about embracing our stories. How can we find purpose in the pain, where there is pain? Understand that itâs about learning through those experiences and shifting your perspective to take ownership for your life and in turn influence the lives of those around you. Miriro Munodawafa is a final year Law Student who is particularly passionate about empowering the youth and women. Understand that you have the power to control the way you think, what matters is what you subject your mind to. In this episode I share two pieces of poetry from my book âMantraâ. The first one highlights the importance of uttering verbal affirmations and motivational quotes, daily. The second piece focuses on how uncertainties are certain, yet the biggest question is, âAmidst all the uncertainties, do you have a greater sense of purpose?â
In this episode, I have a conversation with my older sister Makabongwe, and we talk our experiences growing up as Preacherâs Kids. We talk about the expectations and the challenges of growing up under the âchurch eyeâ, and finding your identity. We also touch on honouring your parentsâ calling, while staying true to yourself and most importantly to God.
In this episode, Ayanda and I talk about our personal experiences on setting goals, understanding the importance of paying attention to systems, and how one can define success for themselves. âSuccess is about realizing the sort of person that you want to become, and recognizing the small steps that youâre taking in becoming that personâ -Ayanda Joe Munikwa
