We then delve into the ever-popular segment of reviewing our golf/personal goals from 2024 and setting new marks for 2025.
After ample time for our takes to marinate, we return to discuss what we remember about the 2 CFP semifinals games and pick the upcoming championship matchup between Ohio State and Notre Dame.
After some reflection, it’s time to review the CFP quarterfinals that saw all teams with a bye eliminated from the playoff; the seminfals are set and we pick those as well. Games picked = Penn State v Notre Dame and Ohio State v Texas.
We have returned from Christmas Break for our final episode of 2024; not much to report from the coaching carousel but we’ve had an above-average Bowl Season so far and the 2nd round of the College Football Playoff is near. The penultimate week of the 2024 regular season is upon us, with a mix of intriguing matchups and also some out-of-conference stinkers peppered across the board; the coaching carousel is also starting to spin a bit faster! The boys took to the road this week for some exploration of various locales - Week 12 chatter goes until about 34:00, at which point we dive into lifestyle discussions of Logan’s visit to The Swamp for LSU-Florida and Jason & Jordan’s Las Vegas golf excursion.
Week 11 gave us some vintage ACC Coastal shenaigans, including Miami losing an undefeated season to Georgia Tech for the 2nd consecutive year. Jason stayed up for the end of BYU-Utah and lived to tell the tale!
While it’s not the strongest schedule of the year, Week 11 is also not pounding us with bad out-of-conference matchups and there are still some decent contests to take in; bonus rememberance of some of our favorite ACC Network commercials. Week 4 saw some more curious performances from several Top 25 teams and a dominant USA win in the Ryder Cup. No new job openings of note but that doesn’t mean we’re out of ideas for where guys should go next.
