Success
The spiritual journey of an entrepreneur goes through several phases.
The outsourcing phase:
This is where we need success to feel fulfilled.
We are compensating for programming and trauma fractures in our psyche and still asleep to the fact that we were conditioned to not be ourselves, and are unconsciously trying on different identities to be what will work for the world and keep us safe/approved of/provided for.
The material success out of this outsource stage is within the ‘fight’ nervous system response (do do do do do).
And, the relationship to our business is one of codependence. We unconsciously play the “martyr” role, abandoning ourselves in the hopes for the business to provide give a sense of inner security (material- financial safety/security, and social - enough and worthy)
A codependent relationship with our business NEVER lasts (and it shouldn’t).
Our nervous system has our back.
Most entrepreneurs don’t realise this in time, and the minute their business turns enough success or money, they go from “fight” nervous system setting (do do do do do) into ‘freeze’, motivation and manic-manifestation begins to lose steam, clients begin to dwindle, and eventually the whole thing fizzes out, until the next business idea emerges, and the cycle repeats.
Stuckness is not a mistake, as it often leads to looking for answers, first through self fixing and self resistance, then turning over every healing modality, and eventually walking through the eye of the needle, or rather, a few or those.
None of this is a mistake. This is all a good thing.
The stuck and frozen phase is where we have to face our biggest fears, often material and financial, and are forced into surrender and turning things over to God and walk out the whole codependent outsourcing consciousness, into sovereignty, trust, and inside-out business artistry.
This is where we begin to flip the worldly inversion and begin to realize, and OWN, the Self and hold simultaneously several truths:
1. Noone is coming to save us.
2. We are 100% responsible, for everything we have created.
That is good news. Clearing our karma (belief systems, trauma dramas, collective BS that we bought into, repressed emotions, and resentments) is then the path to creating a different inner and outer world, as well as the practice of allowing higher frequencies.
3. We are not in control.
This is also good news. We do not see the Truth fully, and God knows our dreams and visions. Surrender all resulte and circumstances to God while being 100% resposible.
We are forced to cross the chasm on the other side,
From oursourcing to sovereignty, the base of being of service to God (Love).
When we let go of the business needing to do anything for us.
We are already whole and complete.
Then we create an art called business, out of sharing our joy and happiness with the world.

MONEY and PERSONAL POWER
This is one of the most activating and potent pieces I am sharing with you.
I had a channel come through around Melanie Layer’s class in her program that I want to share with you.
Here’s the deal:
We need to get in the driver’s seat with money and understanding manifestation.
CREATION (including money!) in the hands of the conscious and wise is NOT NECESSARILY A BAD THING. So we need to stop pretending that it is.
Deeply understanding how we manifest and how we create is our RESPONSIBILITY. So we do not have to do a THING in the world 'because we have to make money'.
So this recording begins a journey that I am entirely fired up about, and that is all about personal power in manifestation.
We KNOW who we are, we know the good we want to do in the world, we might have some offers to align (TRUE OFFER SEQUENCE October 17) but most of all, we master personal power and our manifestation zone (along side our continued healing zone) and truly own what we are doing.

Option 1: Fear and panic: "need to pay the bill, gotta get the next client"
Option 2: Left brain resolutions: "let me write up a bunch of goals, and then break it down, and take the action" (the effectiveness of this is limited, we all know how far New Years resolutions go"
Option 3: the spirit.
Inspiration, receiving downloads from the spirit is CRUCIAL and one of the 6 CORNERSTONES of your MO as a leader in your business.

You felt awful, awkward, until you numbed it, but you did it.
Then you asked people to jumped on a call with you. You were scared but you did it.
And then you asked people to jump on a cal with you to talk about working together. Hard but you did it.
Then you asked them to be a client.
You started getting clients. You kept doing it. It got less uncomfortable, somewhat.
You told people you loved it, but if you had to be honest… it was not easy.
Then you got your first team member to help. Finally. The rescue was here.
They really weren’t doing the best job, and you didn’t feel comfortable correcting them but you did it.
You asked them to perform, you asked for the metrics, over and over.
You pushed through your resistance every day.
Did all the uncomfrotable things.
Which is what we, the business coaches, told you to do.
You got your revenue, you got your golden star.
Until something happened.
The coach wasn’t there to yell at you anymore.
The bank account wasn’t low enough to make you do anything.
The thrill of calling yourself a finally successful enterpreneur wore off and you didn’t care.
There was nothing to prove any more.
You stopped pushing through the discomfort
Clients were trickling in slower and slower.
Your launches got smaller.
Until the resistance that you have been trying to make go away, finally swallowed you.

Sounds familiar? Please tell me if it does.
This could have been prevented!!
But then agin… it’s all perfect, coz… here you are.
What’s the fix then?
You are a human, with emotions.
Emotions like..
Feeling like a self-important fraud when you go live on camera on your Facebook page.
Shame and guilt, when you tell your team members what to do and you see their discomfort.
Dread, when you have to sit down at your computer and follow up with prospects.
Nervousness, when you have to make the ask at the end of the sales call.
You had three options on how to handle it.
1. MAKE IT GO AWAY. You could have made it go away and numb it out, and push through.
2. JUICE IT. You could have totally identified with it, and not start your business is the first place.
The result is the same. Fail later or fail now. These emotions will get you sooner or later.
There’s a third option called TRANSMUTE IT.
And that is the work i do with my clients WHILE they are building their business.
We transmute these difficult feelings and turn it into gold.
Shift in perspective, higher level of awareness, insights that turn them into a world class leader..
One who is FREEER by the day.
One who gets stopped, just like everyone, but she will come back, heal her stuff, and move forward, because this is her purpose, to heal and help others.
IMO, the rule of moving our businesses to 5D is this:
MAKE ZERO BUSINESS DECISIONS IN FEAR.
And that, is the hardest thing we will ever do.
But I think, the most important commitment a business owner can ever make.

People are afraid if they do spiritual work they will lose their drive.
Well, they are right.
This year has been an insanely incredibly year. From emotional release to part work, trauma work, radical truth-telling, to sweat lodges and then kambo, ayahuasca & yage sittings (20 or 25x), and iboga.
People are like “you lost ya mind why you need to do all that, isn't one ceremony enough for you?”
I say “I wish, but the level of BS I was in the weeds with was pretty spectacular and the level of belief systems and attachments isn't something I can resolve in a single night, or a week, or a month.”
So back to your concern: "If I do this am I going to lose my drive?"
Your priorities might change.
Success might not mean as much to you.
Whether people like what you are saying or not might not mean as much to you.
My dreams before all this:

grow a large company

become a NYT bestselling author
-
save a lot of money so I can do whatever Lexi and I want to do

have the most possible experiences traveling all over the world

lots of success
-
lots of fun
Nothing wrong with this. Nothing wrong with blowing stuff up. All of these things might still happen…
but right now, what I am obsessed with is this: AUTHENTIC LIFE

realign every part of my life with my soul

complete and perfect integrity (that's a pretty big process, as the level of self-deceit I have recently come to find is pretty challenging :D)

heal as much as I possibly can in this lifetime, for myself and for the generations to come
-
learn to live in alignment with mama earth, eventually, and yikes, I really love my air conditioning

Year Review → I call 2021 an enormous success beyond measure and beyond my wildest imagination.
Not for the reasons you think lol!
Yes, there was business success, 7-figure revenue in Q1, which…
lead me to states where I had to question everything and the ideas behind competence, success, achievement… and what followed was….
KALI.
I was made aware of her presence recently, but I suspect that she’s been around “helping out”
at least since 2019 when 4 days into my pregnancy my lover left the country and I would never hear from him again to this day.
Who is Kali? A Hindu goddess of chaos and destruction who dresses in skulls and looks a little scary. Also the goddess of death and rebirth and transformation.
She will sweep in with seemingly random events and throws your life in chaos, out of love. When you aren't willing to tear your own life of pretenses down, she helps.
She's not gentle about it.
Neither am I, so I have immense appreciation for the “cut the crap” energy.
Magic happens. You are forced to purify, purify, purify.
What followed was an intense cleansing process.
Past trauma.
Relationship with self.
Narcissism.
Valuing weird stuff, like success for the sake of success.
Constant seeking and searching.
Needing to be respected or seen as a success.
Hiding and pretending (also known as lying) to others and to myself.
Judgmentalism.
Seeing others as more than/less than.
Control.
Endless pressure and carrying the world on my shoulders.
Perfectionism, superdoing, superwomaning.
And on and on and on.
If you think “what the heck Iva, what kind of hell were you living in?” - that seemed kind of normal, like normal ego stuff. A lot of it was not even conscious.
There was one thing, in particular, that was hell that brought grief so deep I could not even face it.
Months and months of resistance to spending time with my own daughter, who is just about the happiest most loving toddler and there was no logical reason for it.
I thought well, as a working mother-father 2-in-1, that’s just how it is.
I was always a good mom through it all, but I would count down to her bedtime so I could exhale.
Healing that, and falling back in love with her as well as with myself, was the biggest gift of 2021, but I had to heal everything else on the list for the heart to open back up.
I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I am to have had the resources, the teachers, the support to be able to dig this deep.
And so…
Going into 2022 I am…
WILLING!!!! (Screams on top of her lungs).
I trust so much the process (of life). I highly doubt 2022 will be smooth sailing but that is so not the point anyway.
I am willing to follow my soul and my heart even when I disappoint others and it's completely irrational and people think I have gone nuts (lol i have been told that this year too.)
I am willing to continue turning into goo anything that's not pure.
I am willing to experience and feel any emotion that arises.
Willing to stop, and do absolutely nothing when that is what is needed (that is the scariest one on the list.)
Willing to stop mid-sentence, if my soul and heart says stop.
Willing to let go of anything that stands between me and freedom and, willing to say or do ANYTHING that will free another.

We have been through a lot as an entrepreneurial community. Many, many entrepreneurs are at the end of their rope. The vast majority of the tactics that worked in 2020 don’t really work anymore, but it isn’t about the tactics at all.
It’s actually a beautiful transition.
People are smarter. They smell agenda from distance.
Many don’t want to get on sales calls.
If they want to buy from you, they want to decide that on their own terms without sales pressure.
If they talk to you, they want it to be a human-to-human conversation.
They don’t want to attend your free events unless they actually know it’s going to be worth their time and not a 7-day pitch fest with a bunch of withheld information. It’s not about the money, it’s about their time.
They want to know how to work with you because more than ever they realize the importance of transformation, but they don’t want to jump through 898784 hoops and loops to get the info on how to work with you.
But most of all, they can’t be bothered with inauthenticity. They want to work with a human person. They don’t care about your certifications. They want to know that you have been through the craziness too and now are here to tell stories about it.
This all is beautiful and is forcing us all as an industry to uplevel, into INTEGRITY.
My intention for the last days of 2021, is very different than you might think.
I chose death.
I asked and prayed for the courage to SEE, and DIE EVERYTHING that does not belong to 2022.
Aspects of me, my brand, and my business that don’t belong.
I asked multiple clients to leave and released others.
I shut down our instagram profiles and did heavy-duty cleanup.
I shut down the S.E.R.V.E. method retreats. I LOVED the serve method, and it’s an amazing concept and it has served many, but - it’s a zone of genius for me, not a zone of magic. And there’s a difference.
I launched a new concept, the Break Free Process, a free inner journey experience (beta version happening in January.)
Old mission: Do a lot, make 6 and 7 figures, and hopefully be happy because you have the money.
New mission: Your CEO metamorphosis.
I call it metamorphosis because it literally is turning everything that doesn’t belong into a goo ina cocoon, so you can be a butterfly.
It takes SO MUCH courage to metamorphose.
Most people are just trying to put wings on their caterpillar. That is NOT a transformation. The old does have to die if you are going to re-birth your business.
Where do you start?
Some crazy difficult questions. And if the answers don’t push you, you aren’t doing the work.
1. The stuff I am teaching - is this in my zone of magic? Because there’s a difference between a zone of genius and a zone of magic. You can be GOOD at something, really good, but if it’s no longer your purpose, eventually you are either going to end up broke again, or feeling like crap, or both.
2. Do I need the courage to release some clients?
3. Do I need the courage to release some team members?
4. Do I need the courage to release aspects of my program, or my program altogether?
5. Do I need the courage to change my launch strategy?
And then there is you. To be authentic, you need limitless freedom of self expression. You need to die everything that’s holding back from your most glorious, authentic, expression. The questions to ask are:
1. What are you afraid that if people knew about you they wouldn’t work with you?
2. Do you believe that you have to show up a certain way, or say/deliver certain things for people to like you/want to work with you?
(I guarantee you have at least 5 rules for yourself.)

When we hit a wall in our business and things aren't moving...
What we typically think it means is this:
- The tactics aren’t working...
- Live launch isn’t working.
- Retreats aren't working.
- My clients this that or the other.
- My posts on IG aren’t doing anything. My life isnt doing what I want it to be doing. My business coach is wrong.
What it really means is this:
- Need for the next level of ALIGNMENT TO YOUR SOUL, TRUTH AND INTEGRITY and it’s SUCH a cliche and everyone says it ‘step into your true power’, which will mean nothing to you UNTIL you have actually done that.

Part 2.
We have been walking asleep.
Now what? :-P
The pain that we are experiencing. The emotional rollercoaster, the sickness, the pressure, the stress.. is the pain of having prayed to false gods and aligning with inauthentic values.
If you have made it to this point and you had a moment when you said “SHIT. I have been deceiving myself and others my whole life.” huge congratulations.
What’s the big deceit?
You know, some people believe that flying into a building and killing a bunch of people is going to take them to heaven.
We think it’s weird.
But we think we have our values right.
No, we’re just somewhere else on the scale of lost and found.
We are ignorant and completely innocent.
No sin is even possible. You just don’t know what you don’t know yet.
I’m no different. I’m lost in so many ways I haven’t even seen yet. I’m sure this post will be cringe-worthy a year from now, you know what I mean? :D
(I HOPE it will be cringe-worthy {in the most self-compassionate way.} I hope my eyes open wider and wider.)
Where have we gone wrong then?
1. We think if we can line all of our ducks in a row, assure complete certainty and security, and feel in control of life, we will reach a state of happiness.
(We chase certainty.)
2. We think that if we get everyone to approve of us, agree with us, like us, love us, admire us, respect us, life will be fabulous.
(We chase validation.)
3. We think that if we stand out, be unique, different, and special, do more, be more, have more impact, we will be at the top of the mountain.
(We chase status.)
4. We think if we just figure out the right way to be, follow the right people, have the right opinions, think the right things, be part of the right circles, be in the right room, we’ll get there.
(We chase getting to heaven.)
5. We create a system of hierarchy of bad, good, better, best, and sort people on our ladder. We evaluate, grade, and compare. And then we do the same thing to ourselves. Size 2 is better than size 13.
10,000 followers are better than 500.
Achieved is better than lazy.
(We one-up.)
And without questioning we have bought into some interesting thing. For example:
That super-productivity, achievement, doing, and being more, is good. Are we sure about that?
That good parents should keep their kids from struggling. Are we sure about that?
That education and knowledge are important to success, and success is important. Are we sure about that?
That climbing the social ladder is what to strive for. Are we sure about that?
Now, women should be more feminine and slow down and men should be more masculine. Are we sure about that?

We have been walking asleep. Instead of discerning and questioning, we have been looking to others to give us the answers.
They must have figured it out.
Welp - most of them haven’t.
I mean, look at us, funny humans:
We are injecting ourselves with toxic stuff to heal our bodies.
We poison ourselves with processed food to soothe our feelings.
We jump from one bad relationship to another in search of completion.
Some people fly airplanes into buildings to “get there.”
….
I went to try yoga over and over, just because I thought I should, and just didn’t get it.
I tried to potty train Lexi when she was 18 months to no avail, just because I thought I should.
I have maintained friendships, just because I thought I should.
Life became a set of made-up rules and doing things that sounded good, but were they really aligned?
Valuing what everyone values, just because - if this is what other people think and do, it must be true.
Time to wake up, and start realigning.
Most of my life I spent wading in the dark.
And the worst… I didn’t even know it.
I thought life was good.
I had gotten citizenship.
I had traveled to over 30 countries.
I had an MBA. I had a successful business. Many happy clients. Many experiences. Living in beautiful places.
Having worked on 3 different continents in 3 different languages, having friends all over the world.
Living life on my own terms, doing whatever I wanted.
By all measures of the western world, I had lead a pretty cool life.
But I was as lost as can be; worst - completely unwilling to admit to my own confusion.
Maybe this will resonate – how do you know you are confused?
You are on a painful, emotional rollercoaster. Life feels like a burden, and there’s a lot of pressure.
You are doing everything you can to make yourself feel better and manage your feelings.
(For me, on top of being a mom and CEO of a 7-figure business, i was also a good meditator, breathworker, and religious gratitude journaler. I did the tapping, the workshops, the landmark, the hoffman, the medicine, meditation, journaling, endless affirmations, gratitudes, morning practices…)
Maybe you would like to think you have your purpose figured out but deep down you aren’t completely sure.
(Would say “wow, i am totally living life on purpose” but deep down, I know I was a little confused.)
If any of this resonates, that’s good.
Hopefully, it will. Being lost and confused is part of the human condition.
Here’s the good news. It’s by design and all of us find ourselves there.
It is exactly where we need to be.
Wait what????
Think about it.
We incarnated here to actually get lost. And hoped that we would find ourselves again.
We didn’t make it easy on ourselves.
We gave ourselves spiritual amnesia. We can’t remember why we are here, any of our past life history, or any of the agreements we made.
We cut ourselves from most of our divine connection.
And we gave ourselves a body and an ego that makes it so much harder.
The body needs to eat, and the ego is endlessly preoccupied with survival.
Everything is a problem, everyone is a danger. If someone doesn’t like us, we are immediately triggered.
So here we are.
Pretty brave of us.
We are practically wading in the dark, trying to figure out how to go back home.
We have one memory we did keep though. We know that home is where joy, peace, extacy, and love lives.
And so, the search for happiness begins.
But how we are trying to get there… ooooof.
Many, many wrong turns.
Very much a western medicine approach.
We are trying to get to happines by whack-a-moling the symptoms…. the unhappy feelings and thoughts.
Sadness - go away!! Anger- go away!! Fear - go away!! I dont’ want you! I want happiness.
I’m going to do everything I can to band-aid the symptoms of the problem - the unhappy feelings.
I’ll do zumba, I’ll drink, I will work out, I will smoke, I will do whatever I know to do.
When all along, those negative emotions were always there to show us something.
All along though, we are missing that this is just a symptom. These unhappy feelings were always just a compass to say:
“Hey hey!! Off track!!! Wrong turn!! You are aligning with the wrong stuff!! Question your values! Look in the mirror! Stop pretending!”

What’s the meaning of life?
Here is what I was shown last week.
We came here to get lost together. It’s by design.
We forget we get lost, so we can start to remember again.
How do you know you are lost?
Here are a few examples:
- You don’t get excited by the same things that excited you yesterday
- You think if you build a 7-figure business you will be happier than you are now
- You want to be liked by others
- You like to “feel on track”
- You want other things to make you happy (drugs, alcohol, going to the gym)
So… you got lost. You forgot happiness is an inside job. You don’t know how to connect to your higher self. You don’t know how to feel love.
That’s… SUCCESS too, in a way.
Why? It’s what you came here to do! To get lost so you could find yourself and integrate at a higher level.
So… congratulations!
Now, if you are reading this, you probably are ready to take the next leap on your journey home.
That is the next level of success. :)

Most of us have accomplished something in the past and wound up not all that happy after it was done.

When I was first trying to launch my business coaching practice, I could not get any clients for 10 months.
Why? I felt like a gigantic fraud. I had just had to close doors of one of my restaurants, and had no business coaching clients.
I knew that I was really good at some things in business, not great at others, but what was really in my face was:
- Who am I to teach business, when I can’t even make my own business successful

I’ll never forget the day I took a morning walk with Lexi in a stroller on a walk with a friend.
Inspired by a theme of a reality TV show about billionaires, I asked him “If it was a question of life or death of both of your kids, would you be able to make a million dollars in the next 90 days?”
He said ‘no’, you?’
I thought for a second.. And reluctantly said ‘yes’. In fact, I knew if I really had to, I could do it in a month.
I quickly did the math, what would it take if I had no money in the bank account?
I knew exactly what I would do.

To 10x your business, you must 10x your courage.
If there is one thread that keeps entrepreneurs stuck at the level where they are at, it’s staying safe and playing mental gymnastics to avoid acts of courage.
Here are the 6 stages of discomfort. Where are YOU at right now?
Stage 1.
You have been working ‘behind the scenes’ on content. Spending hours on blog posts, emails, even books, or outline and content for your program. It makes you feel good. You feel productive. But, deep down you KNOW that none of this is going to serve people or scale your business. And the minute you are finished and it’s time to go talk to people or get on camera… the strategy changes and you go back to… content creation.
Stage 2:
You have purchased a course of a program that teaches you how to build funnels using ads or social media posting or whatever form that AVOIDS you talking about your program to people YOU KNOW. You get very excited about automation. At first it sounds so great - passive income, creating courses, or selling through funnels. But for whatever reason it never actually converts or makes you money.
Stage 3:
Or, you got to the point where you said ‘okay, funnels didn’t work, I’m going to do speaking. I am going to go on other people’s platforms’. So you buckle up, schedule some speaking engagements, maybe one a month or one every two months, , 10 or 20 people show up, t doesn’t yield the results, so you give up and go back to #2.
Stage 4:
At some point you have the breakthrough in sales and marketing because you have been at it long enough. You realize there is no way around human connection, visibility, doing sales, and being on camera. So you go live, a lot. You do facebook 5 day challenges, workshops on zoom, or whatever the latest trend. You are closing sales, but when it’s time to hire your first full sales rep or a coach, you just can’t seem to make that step. It’s too uncomfortable.
Stage 5:
You have now gotten over your fear of hiring. You got someone to join your company and do sales and marketing or operations. They are a huge help, but far from profitable. You know you want them closing sales and driving the growth of the company, and you keep bringing it up, but you are scared if you push them too hard, they will quit, and you will be alone again. So you still aren’t scaling as much as you would like to.
Stage 6:
You pushed through, figured out how to teach and train your team and hold them accountable, which resulted in a crazy growth in your company. The tower seems to growing tall, but the base is a little shaky. You realize you don’t have a great billing system in place, have no business insurance, and you aren’t 100% sure if you are following the employment law. You have mickey-moused this business together. But the idea of hiring a CFO, a decent CPA, or a high level business coach that can really push you to the next level is paralyzing. You JUST made this money and the last thing you want to do is spend it.
At the time of recording this podcast, we have just closed our first almost 600,000 month and are on track to become an 8 figure company in the next 18 month.
We are one of the the very few coaching companies in the space growing this fast.

Multi 7 figure leap in 18 months: What it took
We are at $550k monthly revenue. 18 months ago I was wondering how I was going to pay the bills and my operations manager who was working 10 hours a week.
People don’t believe me when I say we over 200x’d our revenue in 18 months, and tht’s okay.

After almost 5 years of considering, hesitating, not feeling ready, making judgments about it, it was time to dive in and have mother ayahuasca show me what I need to see to further evolved.
Just coming out of the most difficult 2 days in the past 18 months following the second ceremony, I wanted to share my experience with you.
I have miscommunicated big time with our clients, and with you. Let me set the record straight here.
Here it goes.
Week 8 is NOT a week off.
It’s not a week of relaxing, doing nothing, and binge watching television.
Week 8 is the hardest work you will do of the 8 weeks.
It’s the inner work where you put the past in the past, heal as much as you can, and receive inspiration for the following 8 weeks.
Here’s what I have seen happen. People either
- Forget all about week 8 and work anyway
- Get their eyelashes done, get a massage, and do a family vacation (which, let’s be honest, is not necessarily at all relaxing, or inspiring)
If you want to grow your business, you have to grow yourself. This happens by running your business, taking daily emotional risks, moving through fear, but also, slowing down before you speed up again.
That is what I do every 8 weeks.
That is not to say I don’t do fun stuff. Lexi and I have done a lot of beaching as well, but 6 - 8 hours a day I am doing the inner work…
I always bring this back to the tomato plant concept.
Your plant won’t continue growing if you don’t weed out what has been holding your tomato back and don’t pour some water and sunshine at it, and that is what week 8 is.

"I’m calling out all the people who do abc xyz..." Such as "the people who send DM’s" or "the coaches who say you are paying to be in their energy" and so on.

Raising a newborn and growing a 7 figure business.
Just reflecting back on this incredible year. Lexi just turned a year.
I go back to 18 months ago, pregnancy, and how I was feeling then.
So terrified, knowing I would have to have a c-section, no money saved up for ANY kind of recovery, no maternity leave, and no security.
I’m not going to lie. I COULD NOT do it without the support… and to be honest.. I could not do it without COVID (that sounds weird doesn’t it?).
My mom got trapped in the country visiting and wasn’t able to leave, stuck helping me for the first three and half months to begin with.
Then the fact that I had gone virtual before anyone else had to - I did it because i was pregnant, well before covid hit and I was in a place I could teach others.
And I was only able to do it because lexi’s father left in the first month of pregnancy. It made the reality serious enough for me to try… like… REALLY try, you know what I mean? When there are no other options, you will succeed.
If I told you to make a 100k/month or die in 30 days, I have NO DOUBT you would go get 10 clients at 10k and succeed. It was kind of the same thing for me. When you don’t allow yourself the luxury of failing, you succeed, it’s that simple.

From 2.5k month to 250k month (and a waitlist into a 15k program) in 18 months… what it takes.
Okay. If you told me I would be writing this today I would call you crazy.
EXCEPT NOT. I knew this was going to happen, because I reverse-engineered it. I even booked a PR company ahead of time and designed the headline long time before it would manifest:
“This single mom goes from medicaid to a 7 figure empire”
I would just never admit to it publicly, because I was in the process of letting go of a lot of shame around money.
I cannot tell you how incredibly thankful I am for this journey and as we go I want to continue sharing what worked and what did not work so you can live in the world of abundance and create the same for you and your family, while serving others.
So what it boils down to from WHY we were able to grow so fast, here is some things I think were support important.
- I hired a coach. To be specific, a team of coaches. Even when I was making nothing, and even when her team cost me tripple my rent. I invested closed to 50k in the past 12 months into coaching alone. And my coaches are amazing and I will totally refer you, reply back and I’ll get you an introduction into the programs. I was terrified out of my mind making those investments, it was EXTREMELy difficult emotionally and I did it anyway.
- I developed a lot of confidence by going on camera and teaching… A LOT. Like, several times a week going live and teaching. Serving, delivering value, all the time. I didn’t negotiate with myself and cut my events short, I didn’t skip my weekly shows, even if noone was watching I was practicing my teaching skills on camera and getting good at delivering content. Many times we had 1 - 2 people watching and I was ok with that.
- I made incremental learnings and improvements daily. I am 10 times better business coach than I was a year ago. I am fanatical about getting myclients the results so I got obsessed with teaching the best strategies, best tactics, best ways to teach, and obsessed with my client’s problems and learning how to solve them.
This included LOTS of prayer when I didn’t have the answers for my clients.
This included HOURS of triple-speeding endless courses and videos to download the best strategies in the market
This included talking to my colleagues and sharing endless ideas of what’s working and what’s not
This included spiritual retreats where I would slow down to get to my inner guidance and surrender resistance and blocks that were getting in the way of my clients’ success.
- I stayed consistent with lead gen and lead nurture. Every week for 10 months, Monday through Friday, with exceptions that I could count on the fingers on one hand , I logged on for an hour and 15 minutes a day, to do organic lead gen and fill our retreats, until I didn’t have to because I had my team doing it. Literally can’t grow your business without prospects.

One of my mentors once said on a live stream “your business is always 3 - 6 months behind you’.
This simple sentence lead to a major awakening.
Yep - there’s a lag.
I’m not failing. It’s just that my efforts have 3 - 6 months to materialize.
I was working hard consistently but NOT YET seeing the result.
We were testing facebook ads hard, but NOT YET seeing the results (we had 2 leads a day coming through, and 95% of the registrations into our retreats were coming through from cold social media outreach (which we highly highly recommend, always, because as you know - if the people aren’t coming to you from your posts - no problem - take control into your hands and go get them).
We were then getting 300 - 500 registrations but our conversion rate was NOT YET where we wanted it to be. People were not signing up for consults with us - I was just not that great on camera.
We sending a lot of DM’s and welcome messages in the group but we were struggling getting 1- 2 consults a week on the calendar (now we have 10 + calls a day booked, 7-10 of those 5 minute connect calls to help us make better content, 3-5 straight consults with interested potential clients).
We were producing a lot of content, a TON of videos, podcasts, articles, but we were not getting any feedback yet.
Here’s where consistency comes in: you’ve GOT TO DO THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND OVER until you become good at it.
You gotta stick the facebook ads out until, after ROUNDS of endless testing, you realize the one message that is attracting the perfect client.
You gotta stick the sales call out until you one day realize you know your ideal client so well you could pain their life for them before they even tell you.
You gotta stick out going live till you evolve into a teacher people start wanting to listen…
So friends, if you KNOW you got things to teach, consider making CONSISTENCY as your top goal in 20201.
That means not doing 1 or 2 virtual retreats and then quitting. That means doing 6 of them like we do, and until you get REALLY good at teaching (and selling) on camera.
That means mastering lead gen, to where you are registering not 50, not 100, but 500 - 1000 people into your free event and EASILY doing 6 figure retreats.
And so on.

This piece is written for those of you who are committed to blowing right past the 6 figure mark (or have already done so), and go towards 7 in 2021 and 2022.
….as well as for those of you who are not there yet so you get a sense of what the future looks like for you.
The biggest downfall of an entrepreneur who has managed to get to 50 - 100k is this: they become the bottleneck in their business.
The idea of going to 7 seems daunting.
Often times they are the only person who can sell (or who is the best at it), and the only person who can truly coach and teach.
So the work piles up.
There’s zero freedom in that. In fact, it’s the opposite of what you went into business for. Putting out fires and pressure of covering high bills with new sales is running the show. And you find yourself not taking a vacation for months and months and months.
(Been there in my past businesses - especially as a former restaurant owner, and I decided to do this differently, with an extraordinary team).
But back to what the future without a great team looks like : You will have
- MORE worries as there are more clients to handle.
- More financial responsibilities because yes - you DO have some contractors likely on staff, but because they aren’t paying for themselves - it falls on YOUR shoulders to provide for their livelihood and you are constantly cutting their hours.
- And so… here you are. You plateau because - continuing to grow is just not worth it to you. Too much st to deal with. Too stressful. Too many contractor heartaches.**
Probably not the future any of us want :)
Many of us are committed to making more difference, serving more people causing more transformation, but in doing so - not just the FINANCIAL freedom, but also the the freedom of time and location.
What is it going to take to get there is these four things:
- A state of the art lead generation, lead nurture, and lead conversion systems RUN AND LEAD BY YOUR TEAM who are highly trained and can sell your program in their sleep.
In order to get there, however, you are going to invest into getting them to that place! Going through a cycle of recruiting, onboarding, and a developing a state of the art training system that is going to help them become PROFITABLE within the FIRST MONTH in ANY role but especially sales - sales is the life blood of the company.
- Scalable virtual events: Part of this is doing 7 day retreats that we prescribe to our clients, although the scale-with event of your choice can take many other different formats that we also teach.
- Scalable 1: many services. This you probably already know and many of you are doing, however - I want you to think what is the customer progression. Those who are coming into your program, what happens to them after a year? Do they go into a maintenance membership? Or a level 2 program? Or a VERY high ticket private program?
- Stress- free systems. What happens when client doesn’t pay? Or doesn’t show up for weeks? Do you have complete lead database? A couplete end to end follow up system with prospects?

After what feels like a million struggles and trying every different strategy under the sun to get clients -

We just had a 6 figure week using a 7-day retreat model.
How it came about... well - that part is a little woo.
Out of a conversation with my mom who is utterly clueless when it comes to business building… but is pretty good at guiding conversations with your higher self.
So… me and my mom and my soul had a little meeting and drew up a 7-day strategy.
I asked questions like:
… what’s a good day to pitch
… how many clients to bring on
… what’s an ideal session length
… should I do it on live or on zoom
… what do I need to focus on in my offer
We crafted it out, designed it, and bam. Born was a 7-day retreat.
The results were this:

On Monday we had 91 people on zoom with us, and 18 watching the replay the next day.

The comments of appreciation were ENDLESS.

After session 1, my team and I had 27 prospect calls.

After session 2, we had people come and say "when are you, like, gonna talk about your year-long program?"
-
On session 4, we still had 60 people on zoom.
When I told them that I was about to pitch my program and to leave if they weren't interested, most of them stayed for the next 40 minutes.

Exactly one year ago, in November 2020, I went live for the very first time, in this group, teaching a training on how to put together your website.
I had no idea what I was doing.
I had no idea how to engage people.
I had zero clue how to pull people into consults.
And the idea of selling a $6k+ program on camera was unimaginable.
Fast forward 8 months later, we had our first $40k DAY, using nothing but live video.
We just discussed using virtual retreats on the IHB show and how to run them.
On this episode, we will discuss the 3 keys to presence on camera and how to convert viewers into clients!
Since we started going live, and that’s less than a year ago - at the end of 2019, we have generated multi six figures of ON CAMERA SALES.
I did not have to go anywhere, sit through networking meetings, book speaking engagements, and in many cases even do a consult.
But what it took of me was a very steep learning curve.
Today I want to give you 10 rules to improve your presence on camera even if you really are the pro!
- DO NOT WORRY if people will watch or comment. Literally, way too many times people don’t go live as often as they should because they are so scared that noone will watch and comment. If noone does, noone does! So what?
- Lighting is the king. Invest $50 into a ring light and get it set up. Make sure the environment you are in and what people see on camera is lifting them up!
- Either go live straight from your phone or use StreamYard to simulcast into all your different platforms. Don’t go live from your computer by logging into Facebook in your browser - it tends to not work well at all.
- Dive right in, don’t wait for people to show up. Jump immediately with the title of your live stream, results that people will get watching it, adn start talking. Realize that most people will be watching the replay and if you don’t drive right in, they will jump right out.
- Don’t assume people don’t want to engage. If they don’t, it’s probably because they have not been invited to and they dont’ know if it’s okay! Use engagement prompts all the time to get people talking.

Why to use virtual retreats to drive hypergrowth in your company (title/subject line)
In 2019, I realized the need to master live video on on camera conversion to drive growth in my business.
It wasn’t just because it was 2019, it was also because I was pregnant.
So, I researched 5 day challenges, hire a coach to teach me a 9 day live event format, and landed at a 7 day retreat format that I absolutely love.
However, I have realized a problem with the live events, most of which seems to be the 5 day challenges.
Just like with any other tool out there, the funnels, the courses, the webinars… it does not work for vast majority of the people.
Why? Because it becomes another ‘spaghetti’. Thing to try, get a few people into, without a whole lot of strategy.
Introducing: 7 day virtual retreat.
Why it works: there is a full 7 days to build relationships with people who know absolutely nothing about you, plenty of time to deliver value, and plenty of time to get them clear about whether or not they want to work with you.
The things you absolutely need to have in place to make it work:
- Have absolutely amazing content you will teach over a period of 7 days. 60 % of your time on camera is going to be spent fully delivering top of the line content. The remaining 40% is going to be split between content, and selling.
- 3.5 week promotional timeline before the day 1 of the retreat. If you are actually asking people to attend a 7 day event (typically 45 minutes a day), you cannot expect them to do that with minutes notice. You must have a minimum of 10 reminders per person. For us it looks like 5 count down emails, posts that they are tagged on, google calendar invites, and text reminders. There is a LOT of noise, people ar registering for free workshops left and right, you want to make sure people absolutely know it’s happening!
- Register a minimum of 350 people into your retreat and have a minimum 40 people watching live (or 70 join you on zoom). How do you do this? Depends where your business is. Until we hit 80k revenue per retreat in our business, we were doing this 100% manually. Meaning, Jaye and I were literally spending 2 hours a day sending personal invitations to every single one of our followers and community members with a really great invite. And another 2 hours a day attracting new followers so that we could have people to message. It wasn’t till we crossed that 80k/retreat revenue that we invested Facebook ads. Right now we are driving qualified leads for $3 - $5 CPL.

“It’s never going to work out. I have failed so many times.”
It’s February 2017. I have just opened, a couple months ago, a restaurant in Chandler Arizona. The first restaurant was doing pretty okay, self-managed, I thought okay - it’s time to open a second gluten free-paleo restaurant down here.
Except, it was the worst idea ever. Just a couple months into opening, people weren’t coming. I am on a 10 year lease, and I am very, very scared.
A typical day in my life looks like this:
I’m at the new restaurant, keeping myself busy. The customers aren’t coming. Some days we have $150 in sales.
Our rent is $8000, month, i have to pay the suppliers, food that’s going bad, all kinds of constant repairs, my staff, utilities, and an endless list of other bills. Our losses every month are more than $10,000.
A typical day… I am walking into a restaurant for the brunch opening. I am feeling anxious, often shaking. But I am smiling. I don’t want my employees to know just how I feel.
I am hoping for a miracle. Customers will start showing up.
But deep down I fear the worst. Everyone who comes in seems to be put off by our high prices. And I am stuck, not knowing what to do about it.
More than anything, I am committed to healthy eating and the quality of the food. We fry in 100% cold-pressed avocado oil, cook with organic ingredients, and our waffles are made of cashews instead of wheat flour.
We are leaking money by the buckets, but the guilt of ‘overcharging’ is eating me but there’s just no way we can charge even less.
It’s a sunny February afternoon, and I am sitting there, behind the restaurant, shaking in fear because yet another team member just quit.
Again. She wasn’t making enough tips.
‘I totally get it, I’m sorry, I wish it was different’, I said.
As the staff is thinning, I find myself going back to the beginnings, and doing a lot of cooking and serving.
This February afternoon, I’m sitting behind the restaurant in fear, an an email pops up from my accountant: “you don’t have enough on your account to pay the paychecks”. I can feel the pit in the stomach. That can’t be.
Sure enough, it is true. All credit cards are maxed out, lines of credit exhausted, I am again scrambling moving money around to make the paychecks happen.
I feel completely trapped, and the certainty downs on me. There isn’t going to be a happy ending to this.
...
This is not a story I enjoy sharing. It’s a story of failing very, very hard. But I am sharing this so that you understand that your past failures and attempts to succeed, however real they are, aren’t predictive of your future. I am succeeding in a huge way and our business is widely profitable now.
But I want you to listen to this, because I want you to get how little your past failures mean about your business.
So you know you have to step up and lead. But part of you is just really scared.
‘Who am I to say that I am a_____ (business coach, marriage expert, etc)’.
‘I don’t have as many certifications as everyone else ‘ (aka comparisonitis)
‘Who am I to call myself a life coach when I am not even life coaching anyone’ (the fraud syndrom)
‘It’s all been taught before.. I don’t know what to teach about’ (the ‘I have no ideas’ trap).
Here’s the deal. If you constantly feel that you aren’t expert enough, there is no amount of certification that is going to prove to you that you indeed are an expert. It’s a never ending trap.

So many times I hear entrepreneurs complaining about being busy.
I want you to get this, circle this, highlight this, and really truly realize this:
OVERWHELM IS AN EMOTION.
Which means it’s not a thing out there.
There isn’t something out there causing your overwhelmed.

Most of my clients are women. And if I could put a finger on one self-sabotaging technique that that we all like to use, it’s the drama-coaster.
One of my coaches, Rachel Jayene Groover, called it the ‘safe problem solving’. You look at it like this.
You have this enormous mountain to climb, called living your purpose through your business.
But, that’s a huge fish to fry. This is a lifetime of work, evolution, serving, growing, and so many ups and downs to go through..
BUT WAIT!!! There’s this safe problem over here on the left, called ‘my boyfriend always leaves the toothpaste cap off’.
Or ‘my kids just don’t listen to me’.
Or, ‘my mother in law bla bla bla bla’.
Or, ‘Trump bla bla bla bla’.

**Sometimes, it looks like taking one training after another, but rarely feeling ready to implement and fly on your own. You struggle allowing the flow of your own inspiration when it comes to creating your business.

Others times you feel like how you show up has to look a certain way for you to succeed. You don’t trust how you look, how you present yourself, or what you teach, is going to attract the clients. You spend a ton of time stalking your competition and to see what they are doing.

Sabotage #1: Hiding behind content
Too many times entrepreneurs tell me that their biggest problem is ‘not enough clients’.
‘What are you working on’, I ask.
‘oh I’m working on my website’.
Or, ‘Oh I’m working on a course’.
Or ‘Oh, I’m working on a content for my program’.
Almost never is the answer is ‘Oh, I’m working on my top 100 list and calling all my potential clients’, or ‘I’m scheduling 10 facebook lives’ or ‘I’m reaching out to 100 organizations to do speaking engagements for’.
You see the difference? One leads to revenue in business and solving their money issues, and one doesn’t.
Here’s the thing:
Never ever in my business consulting career have I seen someone generate clients by putting up their website and posts in social media.

Let's talk about evolution.
In 2014 I opened my first restaurant. I had the passion, I knew what I wanted the menu to look like, and I was driven enough to get everything together and get it launched within three months within taking over the lease.
It was the first sit down, full service, paleo & gluten-free restaurant in Colorado. People loved it. Daily Camera published a two-page article, titled ‘It’s Hard to Beat Blooming Beets’. Within a month we got glowing reviews in the newspaper and we were SLAMMED! We turned profits within three months.
Things looked great on the outside, but within a year I was desperately emailing restaurant brokers and begging them to help me get out of the business.
I was in no way equipped spiritually, emotionally, and from a mindset standpoint on how to handle being a CEO of my business...
