A priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Fr. Andrew Gutierrez was born and raised in Metairie. After studying psychology at LSU and completing seminary formation at St. Joseph Seminary College and Notre Dame Seminary, he was ordained to the priesthood in 2019.His four years of parish ministry revealed the joy of walking with people in their moments of grace, struggle, and conversion. Now serving on the formation faculty at Notre Dame Seminary and continuing as chaplain of Archbishop Rummel High School, he seeks to form seminarians and young men who become authentic disciples of Jesus Christ. Continuing our semester-long Encounter talk series Prophet, Priest, King, Fr. Patrick Hough is the director of the Jesuit Spirituality Center in Grand Coteau, La. Originally from Lancashire, England, Fr. Patrick was ordained to the priesthood in 2011 and has served at a variety of assignments at different Jesuit institutions in El Paso, Dallas, Tampa and New York City. In his current role, he is instrumental in revitalizing the Jesuit retreat ministry, guiding the development of the new high capacity facility that continues the Jesuit mission. The retreat center offers both silent and preached retreats for men, women, couples and religious.

Paul George is a speaker, mentor, consultant and author of two books: Rethink Happiness and Holy Grit. He has been married for twenty-seven years and he and his wife are the proud parents of five children.

Our Lady's Fighting Tigers is an intercessory prayer team made up of parents, alumni, family and friends of Christ the King (both men and women).Katie Ibarra is a proud alum of Christ the King and LSU. She is a former FOCUS missionary serving from 2010-2013 at Auburn University and Belmont Abbey College. She was the first FOCUS missionary from the state of Louisiana and is proud to see how much FOCUS has grown in 10 years! She is also a mom of four children, two living and two in heaven. She currently works at CTK as a spiritual director, devoting her time to walking with students through prayer and life. Through spiritual direction, she helps students dive deeper into their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and discover what personal prayer really is.

Special Guest: Sarah Denny, an ethics professor at Loyola University in New Orleans, holds a PhD in Bioethics from Regina Apostolorum in Rome. Her work focuses on the practice of women’s health, and she is most passionate about educating women on their fertility and reproductive health. Sarah taught and coached at Archbishop Chapelle High School in Metairie, served as campus minister here at Christ the King from 2017-2019, and worked in many different capacities with Woman’s New Life Clinic. She loves to help women better understand their unique biology, offering them effective alternatives to the birth control pill for things like endometriosis, PCOS, and severe PMS.

He has an extensive background in healthcare and military ministry, and has lead many retreats, conferences, and over 100 parish missions. Fr. Special Guest: Dr. Haddad is an Associate Professor of Dogmatic Theology and Director of Lay Ministry Programs at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, a co-founder and co-director of The St. Louis IX Art Society, and a Scholar Associate of the Society for Catholic Scientists. He is originally from Houma, LA, and graduated from LSU in 2012 with a BS in Psychology and a BA in Philosophy. After undergrad, he earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary while also serving at Archbishop Rummel as a campus minister and Mount Carmel Academy as a theology teacher, and he is currently completing his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC. Dr. Mario Sacasa, LMFT is the associate director of the Faith and Marriage Apostolate of the Willwoods Community, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and host of the “Always Hope” podcast. He’s married and has four sons, too.
The focus of his career has been finding the points of integration between the Catholic-Christian faith and sound counseling practices. This integrated perspective informs all his professional endeavors. He regularly travels offering lectures to dioceses, parishes, seminaries, and college campuses on the themes of marriage, dating, sexuality, and hope. Dr. Mario has over 15 years of marriage counseling experience.

Fr. Vincent Lampert was born on 07 April 1963. He is a 1985 graduate of St. Meinrad College and a 1991 graduate of the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois.
He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis on 01 June 1991. He currently serves as the Pastor of St. Michael and St. Peter Parishes in Brookville, Indiana.
In 2005 he was appointed the Exorcist for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. He received his training in Rome and is a member of the International Association of Exorcists.
He is also the author of the book, Exorcism: The Battle Against Satan and His Demons, by Emmaus Road Publishing

Special Guest: Alex Ruch was born and raised in Baton Rouge. After high school, he spent one year playing college football in Mississippi. From there, he spent one year serving as a missionary with NET Ministries at a parish in Minnesota.
Following his time with NET, Alex spent three years in the diocesan seminary preparing to become a priest. Upon completing his undergraduate time there, Alex decided to return home and has been working in sales at a local printing company for the past three and half years.
He got married a year ago to his wonderful wife, Alise. They both attend Christ the King and spend their days trying to become Saints! Alex has given a number of talks to groups of all ages and sizes and is very excited to be with you for this Encounter!
