Stillness — Finding Calm in the Northeaster
In a world that feels like a constant Northeaster — winds howling, schedules crashing, emotions rising — how do we find peace?
In this episode of The Cara Podcast, Cara invites you to step away from the noise and into the quiet rhythm of stillness. Recorded after a reflective beach walk during the season of the King Tides, this message reminds us that even when the tides rise and life feels pulled in every direction, there’s a calm beneath the surface — the steady presence of God.
In a world that constantly tells us “you can do anything”, God’s Word invites us to slow down and ask a deeper question:
You can… but should you?
Today's CARA Podcast tackles the everyday decisions that shape our faith, relationships, and witness. From what we post online, to how we respond in conflict, to the opportunities we say yes (or no) to — we explore not just what’s permissible, but what’s wise.
Through Scripture, real-life stories, and practical tools, invites you to look at life through a Kingdom lens:
Each episode offers encouragement, biblical truth, and a clear next step so you can walk away with peace in your decisions and joy in your heart.
Because permission doesn’t always equal wisdom — and in Christ, wisdom leads to life.
Hi, and welcome to the CARA Podcast.
🎧 Episode Recap: The Horizon of His Faithfulness
Host: Lori Lesnansky | The CARA Podcast
This week on the CARA Podcast, we slow down to reflect on one of the most tangible and breathtaking reminders of God’s promises: the sunrise. As the sky kisses the ocean and the light breaks through the dark, we’re reminded of one unshakable truth—God is faithful.
From early-morning drives to the coffee shop, to the story of Paul in Athens found in Acts 17:16–34, Lori invites us to consider the altars we’ve built in our own lives—often unknowingly. Like the Athenians, our culture is full of idols that promise fulfillment but leave us empty. From success to self-image to spiritual confusion, many today are still worshiping at the altar of “the unknown god.”
But just as Paul did, we are called to step into culture—not avoid it. To lovingly redirect people from what’s fleeting to what’s eternal. And to boldly proclaim the truth: the God you’ve been searching for is not far from any of us.
In this episode, we unpack:
🎙️ Key Scripture: Acts 17:16–34
💬 Takeaway Question: What altar have you built in your heart to something that hasn’t delivered? What would it look like to surrender that space to the One who made you, knows you, and loves you?

🎙️ CARA Podcast – Episode Overview
Episode Title: Keys to the Kingdom – Living Like an Heir
Host: Lori Lesnansky
Duration: 8 minutes
Category: Faith / Christian Living / Spiritual Growth
Published: June 18, 2025
🔑 Episode Summary:
In this powerful episode of the CARA Podcast, we explore what it truly means to live as heirs to the Kingdom of God. When we said yes to Jesus, we were given more than salvation—we received access to righteousness, peace, and joy through the Holy Spirit.
But why do so many of us still live like outsiders in the Kingdom?
Host [Name] unpacks this disconnect with scripture, vulnerability, and bold encouragement. Drawing from Romans 14:17 and John 8:32, this episode invites listeners to exchange their striving for surrender, and their confusion for clarity.
This is more than a message—it’s a call to live fully as sons and daughters of a Kingdom that’s already within reach.

Podcast Recap: “The Mystery of God: Known Yet Unsearchable”
In today’s episode, we step into the awe and wonder of who God is—vast, holy, and beyond comprehension, yet intimately near. Drawing from Isaiah 55:8–9, we reflect on how God's thoughts and ways soar far above ours, inviting us not into confusion, but into deeper trust.
We explore the tension between what is revealed and what remains hidden, and how embracing God’s mystery can lead to spiritual intimacy rather than distance. With personal stories, Scripture, and encouragement, this episode is a call to worship—not because we understand everything about God, but because He’s faithful, good, and present even in what we don’t understand.
Let this episode remind you: it’s okay not to have all the answers. Sometimes the most sacred place is found in surrender, in wonder, and in the quiet trust that His ways are always higher.
This week, we are changing it up a bit for Easter. Here is a song that I wrote that I am sharing with you.......Still Loved
Friday looked like it was the end,
But love showed up, called me friend.
Cross on His back, thorns in His crown,
He lifted me when I was down.
The world went dark, but heaven shined,
His heart was set on yours and mine.
For God so loved, He sent the light,
Gave His Son to make it right.
Even when I turned away,
He chose the cross, He chose to stay.
No fear, no shame, I’m not alone—
Still loved, still known, still called His own.
Blood ran red, but love ran wild,
Saving grace for every child.
Nailed to death, but not for long,
Sunday’s coming — sing the song!
The stone rolled back, the chains came loose,
He gave His life, He called it truth.
For God so loved, He sent the light,
Gave His Son to make it right.
Even when I turned away,
He chose the cross, He chose to stay.
No fear, no shame, I’m not alone—
Still loved, still known, still called His own.

Welcome to Cara Podcast in today's episode, we're exploring a shift from transactional interactions to relational connections in our increasingly digital world.
In an era dominated by texts, tweets, and likes, it's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of constant communication and superficial exchanges. We find ourselves overstimulated by the rapid-fire nature of technology, often sacrificing genuine connection for the sake of efficiency.
But what if we paused for a moment to consider the value of slowing down, of truly engaging with others on a deeper level? In times like these, where the pace of life seems to accelerate with each passing day, cultivating meaningful relationships has never been more important.
In this episode, we'll draw inspiration from Jesus. Despite living in a time long before smartphones and social media, Jesus embodied a relational approach to human interaction that transcends any technology.

Today on the Cara Podcast, we set our heart posture from reactionary to Big Picture.
When we are focused on God's purpose, we tend to have a different perspective in the way we look through the lens of life here on earth.
The more we lean into His love and live purposefully, our reactions change.
When we slip into reactive mode, we are off the path of our purpose.
Today, let's adjust our focus from drifting to thriving. Listen in and let us know how we can help you gain traction for your purpose.
Hey, Hey, Friends! It’s deep into August, and school is beginning across the country. Long summer days are winding down, and the carefree feel of summer is waving goodbye.
For some of us we cannot wait to kiss the summer heart goodbye, get back to a schedule, and for some of us our hearts are far from ready to wave goodbye to these hazy and sunny summer days.
Today we are going to dive into anger. For some of us, anger is not in our DNA; it takes a lot to push us over the edge to get angry. For others, anger is a bit more of a challenge, and it can creep up without notice when a car cuts you off in traffic, a text or call, or a situation that pushes your buttons can hit the anger button. Anger can also arise from social injustices, watching the news, an action of a partner, and the list can go on.
Today we are taking hold of our futures. No matter the world's circumstances, the guilt you are struggling with, the pain, the disappointment, the feelings you are unraveling, and the easy way to numb or hide out today and friends, there is so much more for you. He is about to do a new thing.
Hebrews 11 is a chapter in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. Often referred to as the "Faith Hall of Fame" or the "Faith Chapter," it provides a powerful exposition on the nature and significance of faith in the lives of believers. The chapter begins with a definition of faith and then presents a series of examples of people from the Old Testament who demonstrated great faith in God.

Hey, Hey Friends!! It’s July, and the question is, no matter what happened in the last six months, this is the time to press forward. Maybe you're on track with our goals and resolutions, you have momentum, or maybe you are laughing and can't even remember this year resolutions.
Today we are diving into the forward momentum. Today, you can start afresh
Today on the Cara Podcast, we are diving right into the depths of the heart.
The heart is what sustains every moment of our lives. The heart brings forth love and heartache. It pumps super hard as we run races. Our coffee gives us a heart jolt to awaken us; the heart can overflow with joy, kindness, and words of encouragement, and our hearts can also, metaphorically speaking, be a place of darkness, full of rocky soil. “God’s word has the power to change and transform us. Lies lose their power in the face of truth.” So today is all about how to have a Heart Revival.
With so many celebrations and getting ready for summer, we can find ourselves on adventures traveling down new routes with open roads as our hair swirls in the breeze and feeling like we no cares in the world. It’s a feeling we want to hold onto. It’s a memory that always sticks with us. Road trips can be good for the soul, and it opens up our hearts to take in more of our surrounding and connect with the people we encounter along the way.
Jesus desires for us to have a life filled with great adventure. He created us to be creative humans with curiosity. We were not meant to live a life through foggy windows and smeared-up sunglasses. He wants our vision to be clear so we can see the road ahead for HIS adventures.
Do you ever feel that you are seeing darkness and unsure how to use your kingdom authority to release the light? Or maybe you, at this moment, are walking through darkness and feel like you are stumbling through life with so many questions? We were not meant to go alone; listen to this week's episode, and get the guide to "Bring Your Light." We want to flip the darkness into light. I pray that we walk in BOLDNESS for so many to find the light on the hill. You can release your kingdom authority and "BRING YOUR LIGHT."
T**here is a good saying: Hikers on the Appalachian trail have this mantra “hike your own hike”—that is, resist the urge to compare how many miles you cover in a day to how far other hikers are traveling. Today we are diving into the Highlight Reels.
Last week, I caught myself grabbing my phone to do something quickly before calling it a day, and 30 minutes later, I found myself in a different state of mind than doing the message I wanted to send to someone. I trapped myself in the Highlight Reels of Life. Some of the reels were fun and inspirational; influencers are sharing, self-promotion, living an epic lifestyle, a pulled-together life, and a perfect picture of one’s life.**
As I thought about the 30 minutes that flew by, it made me think about so many things. First, I fully admit I use reels; I share the content of all that I mentioned, depending on the day/week or what is happening in my life. My mind was flooded with questions. Listen now on how to move from the Highlight Reels to find real contentment.
Happy Valentines Day, Friends! Today wanted to remind you are loved. And to stop writing love letters to yourself and read the ones from Jesus. Today we are taking a glimpse of How Great His Love Is For You!
How often do we catch ourselves saying, "I'm Good"? And you may be "Good," and for some of us, that far from the truth. So today, we will dive from "I'm Good, To Betters Day Ahead," unlocking the lies of our human nature and looking at some great biblical examples of where even some of the greats struggled and turned to God. Today's episode is to set you free and find healing over fear, worry, anxiety, and depression, and that's more than okay to seek help from a professional. Or to give you the courage when you are with your tribe to move from "I'm Good" to share honestly and vulnerably how you are doing.
Our new year’s resolutions. Goals, diets. Workout plans, setting out to get organized and to book more travel, or maybe we just jumped on the trend that others are doing, or maybe? Just go with the flow.
Those are all excellent for having a focus and setting the course of direction for the year. And today, we will talk about the direction for setting sail with Him.
If we are really honest, we want to make changes, become more, tackle those giants within, become less distracted, and be more present. The above deck of the boat looks too inviting not to kick back into a lounge chair as we sunbathe and capture those sunsets as we sip on our favorite beverage and read the latest juicy novel to get lost in. The deck life allows us to live comfortably and lets us pause life for just a moment.
This year what if nothing changed? Would you be satisfied? Would you accept it was just not your time? Your year? Or not meant to be? Today dive in to LIVE THE LIFE OF ADVENTURE YOU'VE DREAMED OF...
Hey Hey, Friends! On the last episode of Cara Podcast, we dove into the hope of the season and the wisdom of the Wise Men, and this week, we will dive a bit deeper into the boldness of faith!

**Hey Hey, Friends! How are you? Happy December!! WOW, there is 30 days left in 2022, and this is the season of expectancy and anticipation! This season can be filled with so much hope and joy, and it can also be filled with less than expectancy. Today we will dive into the hope of the season and the wisdom from the Wise Men.
Those wise men were pretty amazing! You see, they came with expectancy, with what they had, and boy, they were super wise as they followed the star to come worship and provide gifts to a baby boy.
This week we will dive into one of the gifts they brought. I think any one of us would love the gift of gold. Gold is precious. Gold today, on 12/1, just took a significant price increase to 1800 an ounce, the biggest leap in 2 years. So that Gold that was brought to the baby over 2000 years ago that was a gift reserved for kings was just as valuable as it is in 2022.

Hey, Hey, Friends! How often do you find yourself scrolling your Insta Feed and seeing all of the influencers sharing reels on how to have your best life? And if your reel looks like nothing they are experiencing, you have missed out on life.
His Influence is one that you will never miss out on; He is the only influencer in this world that truly matters. Everything else fades away. Yes, we love our Golden Goose shoes, the latest Target finds. To experience that epic stay in some wanderlust area, there is nothing wrong with that. However, our souls are so thirsty for something different. For many of us, we would love for a wellspring of life-giving water to bubble and quench our thirst for the things of the world. Today listen to how to experience a juicy squirt from the wellspring to move confidently in the way He is leading you.
The newest episode of the Cara Podcast dropped. Our faith can be shaken in our current world, and we can find ourselves longing for something different. How do we turn that longing into living in possibility full of faith to walk in step with Him as He leads us? Faith can cut through the circumstances, the shame, the hurt, the guilt, the fear, and allows us to see His promises clearly.

Hey, Hey Friends, how are you?!? It’s hard to believe we are ushering in August. Who's exhausted and feels maybe your missing out on bringing heaven to earth? Today we are diving in to find the rest our bodies need to recharge and be ready to carry heaven on earth.
First, you know who you are; the ones that rest does not come easily; it's hard to turn off the mind, the feeling that the to-do list is significant, and that if we rest, we will only slip further behind….I see you, and I know exactly what your mind says when the words: slow down, take a break, get a snack and take a nap.
And here is the most fantastic fact about changing the world: Jesus changed the world in His three years of public ministry. Yet He also knew when to rest. Jesus doesn't just offer rest. He teaches and demonstrates how to do it through the gospels and parables. Rest is not a luxury. It is a necessity. An act of worship we can glean from His earthly life, Jesus displayed many facets of rest. Spiritual rest. Physical rest. Mental rest. What would a day look like to Jesus in our Modern Day? Tune in

This week we are going to dive into the shoe that fits.
In a culture that's so obsessed with the newest and most hi-tech, why would people want to wear the classic, low-tech Jordans—either OGs or Retros?
It's a subculture within the subculture. They're attached to a Michael Jordan who did things on the court that no one will be able to replicate. I mean, the guy played with a full-blown flu. He couldn't walk off the court. That drive and that ambition transfers into the sneakers as something tangible that we can hold and touch.
—Michael Rapaport, executive producer, Jordan Heads
More than ever, we need to lace up shoes, get them out of display cases and we have the opportunity to reach people wherever our feet may take us bringing the good news.

― Ruth Haley Barton, Sacred Rhythms: Arranging Our Lives for Spiritual

“Thanksgiving Day is a jewel and one of my favorite days of the year because it reminds us to give thanks and to count our blessings. Suddenly, so many things become so little when we realize how blessed and lucky we are.”
**Some of you might be familiar with the story of Mary & Martha. Martha was so busy in her gifting the gift of hospitality. She wanted the ultimate preparation for the guest of honor. Her sister was nowhere near the kitchen. She was holding and intentional listening to her guest. Hanging onto every word. Both of these women had incredible gifts. One was appropriate in the moment.
As we head into the Thanksgiving week ahead, how you can become appropriate in the moment.**
We’ve heard it time and time again...Be Happy. How do we achieve happiness? Happiness can seem fleeting and momentary at times. So what is it that happy people do differently?
Happy people developed a habit of being and only doing those things that bring them happiness. But in order to be happy, you have to be willing to stop the things and habits that get in the way of your happiness.
Happiness really is a choice you have to make. Many of us get it wrong: We think that happiness is a byproduct of success, be it a high-paying job, a successful business, raising a family, or achieving a goal.
Have you ever heard the saying:
If I have the money, then I will do the things I want. Finally, I will be happy.
Yet, dissatisfaction and sadness often keep us from doing the things we want. We lack the enthusiasm and the vigor to do those things in the first place that we think will ultimately bring us happiness. I want to challenge your thinking a bit, and turn it around:
I will decide to be happy. Then I will do the things I want. Finally, I will get the success I desire.
When you shift your mindset and stop doing all the wrong things, you open yourself for the things that will make you happy. So today, I want to encourage you to stop the negative habits that prevented you from achieving the happiness you want. And today we’ll discuss how.
Meaningful relationships can build self-esteem and make us happy. They can also lead to satisfying higher-level needs such as growth and development. Deep and meaningful relationships play a vital role in overall well-being. Past research has shown that individuals with supportive and rewarding relationships have better mental health, higher levels of subjective well-being and lower rates of morbidity and mortality.
Meaningful relationships advance our physical and mental well-being. A happy life is one where we are satisfied with life’s circumstances and it can be strengthened by meaningfulness. A meaningful relationship is one that advances our well-being, such as dedicating ourselves to a worthwhile cause. Together, they enable us to thrive.
In today's episode, we will be discussing how to make your relationships more meaningful, one step at a time.
What can you do to let go of the past and move forward?
First, ask yourself if you want to move forward.
Yes, memories and emotions from the past may haunt you and limit you, but are you getting some sort of payoff by keeping those memories alive?
Are you ready to let go and release yourself from the past so that you can move forward with your life?
A toxic relationship, a painful memory, a bad experience… these are all things that people struggle to let go of. Have you ever wondered what the payoff is of dwelling on situations that are long gone?
In many ways, there is a comfort in holding onto past hurt. Unfortunately, not letting go of the past has no real benefit to your life.
Today is the day to get unstuck and break free from all of the baggage that is limiting you.
What steps have you taken to release yourself from the past?
Not only will a grateful attitude help—it is essential. In fact, it is precisely under difficult circumstances that we have the most to gain by a grateful perspective on life. In the face of demoralization, gratitude has the power to energize. In the face of brokenness, gratitude has the power to heal. In the face of despair, gratitude has the power to bring hope. In other words, gratitude can help us cope with hard times.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not suggesting that gratitude will come easily or naturally in a difficult situation. It’s easy to feel grateful for the good things. No one “feels” grateful that he or she has lost a job or a home or good health or has taken a devastating hit on his or her finances.
But it is so important to make the distinction between feeling grateful and being grateful. We don’t have total control over our emotions. We cannot easily will ourselves to feel grateful, less depressed, or happy. Feelings follow from the way we look at the world, thoughts we have about the way things are, the way things should be, and the distance between these two points.
But being grateful is a choice, an attitude that endures and is immune to the gains and losses that flow in and out of our lives. When disaster strikes, gratitude provides a perspective from which we can view life in its entirety and not be overwhelmed by temporary circumstances. It's well worth the effort to be grateful.
We work so hard to please others. When was the last time you celebrated you? You see we steal from ourselves our own joy and we do it over and over without ever celebrating you. Today learn how to claim your MVP status by celebrating you!
"Your mental attitude attracts to you everything that makes you what you are."
Napoleon Hill **Today before we dive into your biggest asset: mindset we first want to say this. Mental Health is real. When you are in a dark place, it’s really hard to explain that darkness to anyone. It’s something you just cannot snap out if.
Our mindset is your biggest asset. Having a positive mindset allows us to reach our goals. You see success for most of us is not just sheer luck, favorable conditions, knowing the right people, or having the right timing. Success is about a positive mental attitude. Tune in to learn how to anchor your mindset to bring you more joy, happiness, and optimism.**
Happiness is like a B12 Shot! It brings on the "INSTAGOOD" feeling of energy over us. This week on the Cara Podcast, we are sharing:
"31 Way To Bring More Happiness, Joy, Kindness, And Generosity"
If we were honest many times, we spend more time on that #instagood photo post then thinking of our happiness when you invest in putting joy, happiness into our own self-care routine. Quick and practical ways to show up as the happiest person in the room. After all, what is the secret to the people who always exude happiness? They have turned their attention inward and have realized one of the most thrilling and exciting aspects of life: that happiness comes from within, and that we can consciously choose to feel happy by directing our thoughts, things we focus on, and how we help others.
Is everyday life leaving you drained? In today’s fast-paced world, being busy seems like something to be proud of.
Between working all day, eating on the run, and having little time for fun and relaxation, it’s normal to feel exhausted at least some of the time. But always feeling worn-out isn’t healthy. It can also leave you less productive and less happy.
If you’re facing everyday exhaustion, it might help to take some steps to recharge your personal battery.
On today's podcast we will be discussing the importance of taking time to recharge and introducing some ideas that may help you energize both your mind and body.
Life as we know it is way more glamorized on our TV and movie screens. Not everyone can look so dreamy as they stare off into the distance while sipping or drinking a cup of coffee.
Or can we?
I think everyone has the ability to look dreamy while they stare off into the distance. It's just going to have to take some practice- to get the best experience out of life, you are going to have to romanticize your own life so you can make your life more enjoyable.
On today's podcast we are offering a few things you could do to get started!
The good news is there are always fresh opportunities to be happy. Imagine life is like Grand Central Station, where happy times arrive around the clock. Chances are the opportunity to be happy has already arrived. Sometimes it’s right in front of you. For whatever reason, you are unable to shift your focus to notice and appreciate it.
A joyful life is the best existence we can hope to achieve. It’s the kind of life that produces positive vibes and feel-good energy, and encourages us to look to the future with high hopes. Pure joy might seem like a fleeting emotion, but even if you only feel it for a moment in time, you can hold onto it. You can relish in it.
Regardless of what is going on around you, you can feel happier, be productive, attract success and enjoy yourself during the process. When you shift your focus and the way you think, your perspective changes. When shift happens, your life changes. So get your shift together.
It’s been a stressful year. There are good things, of course, and plenty still to be thankful for but, by now, most of us are showing signs of prolonged stress. For some folks, this looks like difficulty sleeping.
For some, increased irritability or getting worked up about things that probably wouldn’t affect them ordinarily. Others may find themselves getting more headaches. Still others now have a hard time concentrating. While stress is a normal part of life, prolonged and elevated stress is not and can have a negative impact on our mental, emotional, and physical health.
On today's podcast we'll discuss tips and tricks to help battle those stressful thoughts with a bit of positivity and self-care.
WHAT DOES TOO MUCH ON MY PLATE MEAN?
First off, what are we talking about here? Let’s define having too much on our plate.
Having too much on our plate means we are too busy. We have too many things to deal with or a lot of things to worry about. This expression is used to signify that a person has too many different things to cope with.
Having too much on your plate isn’t the same as having a full life. This expression implies not only a lot to do, but also a sense of overwhelm.
You can have a job, take care of kids, and hang out with friends and not feel overwhelmed. But add on a volunteer event and now the stress sets in. You have officially stepped into dangerous territory.
So what can you do?
Listen to the steps you can take to reduce the overwhelm and get back to having a full but not so stressed life on CARAPodcast.
Life unfolds in spite of our impatience. The misfortune of it is that because of our impatience we don't fully appreciate the joy and beauty of watching it unfold. And then there's all the stress and discontentment along the way.
Remember, the presence of sincere patience means the absence of so many byproducts of impatience: negative emotions like anger, disappointment, frustration and blame among others. Rather than draining yourself and creating negative energy, you can increase your energy and resilience. Sincere patience means approaching situations with a positive attitude, care, understanding and genuine allowance.
The long lines at the store, traffic jams and slow computers won't instantly disappear as you practice Inner Ease. However, the state of inner ease helps us attune our mental and emotional nature to the most reasonable and effective way for responding to each situation that life brings us.
Being proactive is about owning your own decisions, actions, and life, despite what other people do. This means that you're committed to moving forward in a direction you determine, rather than just responding to the ideas and actions of someone else. When you're reactive, someone else is calling the shots.
Difficult situations don’t always bring out the best in us. In fact, trying times at work or at home can sometimes reduce us to the lowest versions of ourselves, eliciting unpleasant emotions like fear, anger, and anxiety. One potential key to turning this whole thing around is the simple idea that it is better to be proactive than reactive. Harness the power of this approach, and you might just be able to own those difficult situations, rather than letting problems steer you.
In this weeks' podcast we offer some tips for being proactive rather than reactive. Try them out the next time a situation, personal or professional, is starting to get the better of you.
Perfection is unachievable. It is futile to go after perfection when there’s no way to reach it. Pursuing perfection, rather than progress, can set you up for a life of disappointment and inevitable failure. Strive for progress, not perfection.
When you let go of perfectionism and pursue progress instead, you can stop procrastinating. A lot of people do not start anything in their lives because they feel they won’t be able to accomplish something perfectly. In their desire to make things flawless, the do not even begin in the first place. Perfection stalls progress, making you stuck where you are. When you’re after progress, you can give yourself the permission to fail and to keep moving forward despite failures.
Pursuing perfection may be the cruelest thing you can expect from yourself. Instead of beating yourself up for reaching an unreachable goal, why don’t you start giving yourself credit for being at least one step closer to the goals that you have accomplished?
If you want to change your life, a coach might just be the answer. Life coaching is transformational. It can take people from where they are now, to where they want to be – and way beyond that. If life coaching were a pharmaceutical drug, it would be in incredibly high demand. A drug that, taken regularly, could guarantee success in any area of life would be very valuable indeed. That’s what life coaching is – but without any nasty side effects.
How can having a life coach can change your life for the better?
If you know what you want to achieve, you’re already ahead of the curve. However, even if you don’t know, or can’t articulate what you want to achieve, a life coach is still an asset. The reason they’re an asset is that coaches are brilliant at giving their clients clarity. To put this another way, having a session with a life coach can clear the mist that’s preventing you from clearly seeing what you want to have, to do, or to be.
A coach is your personal champion. They believe in you and in your ability to achieve anything you want to. A coach will challenge you to have, do and be more than you thought possible.
The wonderful thing is that having this challenge, and a willingness to take action, transforms your life.
Feelings of insecurity can come from many sources, both real and imaginary. You may feel unsure about whether other people really like you or whether you’ll get to keep your job. Or you may just be generally insecure. Whether the basis of your insecurity is real or not, the feeling can be crippling unless you know how to handle it.
When you’re optimistic, you tend to attribute events that could have negative consequences in a way that reduces their threat value, primarily by seeing those events as being caused by outside factors that will undoubtedly change for the better. Being an optimist, in other words, means that you see the glass as half full, that you ultimately view it as completely fillable, and that you are not responsible for its emptying.
It stands to reason that optimism would be beneficial to your mental health. Taking a vacation from self-blame can be the key to giving yourself the latitude to succeed, even at difficult tasks. By building your optimism, you can tackle feelings of insecurity through proactive behaviors that nip them in the bud. You may not be able to fend off all forms of insecurity all the time, but you’ll at least be able to prevent the threats that are within your control. Don't let insecurities hold you back any longer!
How often do you set goals? How often do you revisit your list? We all know that setting goals is important, but we often don’t realize how important they are as we continue to move through life.
Goal setting does not have to be boring. There are many benefits and advantages to having a set of goals to work towards.
Setting goals helps trigger new behaviors, helps guides your focus and helps you sustain that momentum in life.
Goals also help align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery. In the end, you can’t manage what you don’t measure and you can’t improve upon something that you don’t properly manage. Setting goals can help you do all of that and more.
In this week's podcast episode, we will review the importance and value of goal setting as well as the many benefits.
We are programmed at an early age to think that failure is bad. But we have to remember, the sweetest victory is the one that’s most difficult. The one that requires you to reach down deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got, to be willing to leave everything out there on the battlefield—without knowing, until that do-or-die moment, if your heroic effort will be enough.
Failures can become steppingstones to later success. We can't be bogged down with negative thoughts after we fail, we must continue on. We must have hope that something better is right around the corner. Failure Is life’s greatest teacher. The quickest road to success is to possess an attitude toward failure of no fear. The first is to consciously maintain a positive attitude so that, no matter what you encounter, you’ll be able to see the lessons of the experience and continue to push forward.
One of the biggest secrets to success is operating inside your strength zone but outside of your comfort zone. Although you might fail incredibly, you might succeed incredibly—and that’s why incredible risk and courage are necessary. Here we will talk about how to get into this fearless mindset.
Life is filled with uncertainty, especially at times like this. While many things remain outside your control, your mindset is key to coping with difficult circumstances and facing the unknown.
Uncertainty is all around us, never more so than today. The current COVID-19 pandemic has heightened uncertainty over the economy, employment, finances, relationships, and of course, physical and mental health. Yet as human beings, we crave security. We want to feel safe and have a sense of control over our lives and well-being. Fear and uncertainty can leave you feeling stressed, anxious, and powerless over the direction of your life. It can drain you emotionally and trap you in a downward spiral of endless “what-ifs” and worst-case scenarios about what tomorrow may bring.
Taking steps to reduce your overall stress and anxiety levels can help you interrupt the downward spiral of negative thoughts, find inner calm, and better cope with the uncertainty in your life.
The rapid spread of novel coronavirus has prompted government, business, and civil society to take dramatic action—canceling events large and small, restricting travel, and shutting down major segments of the economy on which nearly all of us depend.
This is humanity’s wake-up call. As we awaken to the truth of the profound failure of our existing institutions, we also awaken to the truth of our possibilities and interconnections with one another and with Earth. With that awakening comes a recognition that we must now learn to live lightly on the Earth, to war no more, and to dedicate ourselves to the well-being of all in an interdependent world.
This is a time to look inward and start a new revival, whether it's with your beliefs, your passions, or the way you choose to live your life. 2020 continues to challenge us and now is the time to wake up!
One of the most foundational beliefs of a community is that you can become better.
We believe that it is possible for human beings to improve. We believe that it is possible to raise the bar in your own life even if the world around you accepts average. We believe in ourselves and in each other. We believe that if you want better health or more happiness or a more meaningful job that you can make those things happen.
And because of this belief we are willing to test, experiment, and try new things even when we feel uncertain. If you don't believe that it's possible to make new things work, then it's hard to make any progress. I don't care how good the ideas are, nothing will work for you if you don't believe in it. And more importantly, nothing will work if you don't believe in yourself.
Who am I? This is a question that haunts us all at some point, especially when the people around us are trying to constantly answer this question for us. How do we remain true to ourselves in a world that is constantly trying to make us something else? I can tell you that it isn’t easy.
Once you start walking your own path, never turn back. Walk through life with your head held high knowing that you never comprised what is in your heart. Being true to yourself will eventually earn you respect among many of your peers. This type of support will go a long way to keeping you on course.
Even those who initially give you the hardest time will admire your approach and accept your differences and perspective. It takes time, but it does get easier. If you ever feel alone on your path, realize that you are in good company. Almost all the great people in history chose to break the mold and to walk their own path. Starting right now, I challenge you walk your own path and don’t compromise your beliefs for anyone.
Take the first step and never turn back.

It starts with all of us, we must not be SILENT and use our VOICE.
WE MUST ACT: Think critically about how you can use your power to effect change. People value words of understanding and encouragement, but leaders’ and organizations’ actions have a more lasting impact.
We must be better, we must end this moral crisis. We may not have the perfect words. But start first with calling your black friends and let them know they are loved, they matter, you are standing with them to bring equality to black lives.

Today we want to talk about a 4 letter word…... WEED Do you know that a single WEED can take root and begin to overtake your self-belief.
How do we stop the spread of the fast-growing seeds of self-sabotage, self-doubt, self-criticism? It’s getting to the root. If we just deal with it on the surface level we will never get to the root cause. More often than not, we begin to no longer even recognize weeds that are growing. Why? We become accustomed to the weeds that we begin to be blindsided by even seeing them.
We can have more than one weed type growing inside our mind, body, and soul. So if that is you, that’s okay no judgment. Begin to focus on the one that is overtaking your life.
