Where Did Nora Go is the alias for Danish singer and cellist Astrid Nora. With dreamy sounds, layers of cello and productions not unfamiliar to Ane Brun, Antony & The Johnsons and even Kate Bush, Where Did Nora Go combines atmospheric pop with lyrics that deal with the role of the modern woman today.
The eponymous debut album came out in January 2013 and was received by critics and audiences in Denmark and Germany with unusual enthusiasm. Since then, Where Did Nora Go has played concert in the two countries where she has mesmerized the listeners with her cello and her amazing voice.
Live, Where Did Nora Go plays together with producer Henrik Marstal. The two usually play the cello, while Marstal makes use of live ambient electronics as well. In this live performance on BalconyTV, though, he is playing the rare Marxophone, an American folk instrument dating back more than a century.
Up on the cold and windy rooftop of ARoS in Aarhus Where Did Nora Go performs the song 'Sister Of The Dark/Walk In The Light' - a call for all women - and men - to leave all darkness behind and move into the light.

Evan Styles and Chris Balcom (formerly of Earle Brown) joined forces with Lindsey James (of Olive Street) in June of 2010 to create a dynamic indie/folk/rock trio. Comprising their sound is a strong foundation of Evan's rich keys and Chris's melodic/rhythmic guitar combined with Lindsey's powerful yet minimalist percussion and permeating melodies from the electric mandolin. In September of 2011, Pete Martin joined the group bringing his bold and colorful trombone style that elevated the band to a fresh new level. And the icing on the cake came a month later when Ephraim "Sam" Wickline joined with his cello. This band, being constructed of individual songwriters, has a diverse list of influences ranging in and out of nearly every genre. This, along with the non-traditional rock setup used to create high-energy tracks as well as deep soulful melodies, is what sets Those Nights apart from other bands. And it's the haunting vocals, constructed harmonies, and occasional hip-hop flavor that creates the formula for this unforgettable show.

Bombino was born in Tidene, Niger, a Tuareg encampment outside of Agadez. Following the outbreak of the Tuareg Rebellion in 1990, Bombino, along with his father and grandmother, were forced to flee to neighboring Algeria for safety.[1] By 1997, Bombino had returned to Agadez and began life as a professional musician.
Filmmaker Hisham Mayet managed to track down and record Bombino and his electric band Group Bombino in 2007 during a wedding performance. Those recordings, along with several acoustic performances in the 'dry guitar' style, can be heard on the Sublime Frequencies' 2009 release, "Group Bombino - Guitars from Agadez, vol. 2." Later in 2007, tensions grew again in Niger and ultimately erupted into another Tuareg Rebellion. The government, hoping to thwart the rebellion in all its forms, banned guitars for the Tuareg, as the instrument was seen as a symbol of rebellion. Additionally, two of Bombino's fellow musicians were executed, thus forcing him into exile. In January 2010 Bombino was able to return to his home in Agadez. So as to celebrate the end of the conflict, a large concert was organized at the base of the Grand Mosque in Agadez, having received the blessing of the Sultan. Bombino and his band played to over a thousand people at the concert, all dancing and celebrating the end of their struggle.
While Bombino lived in exile in Burkina Faso, filmmaker Ron Wyman, having heard cassette recordings of his music, decided to track him down. Wyman encouraged Bombino to properly record his music. Bombino agreed, and the two of them produced an album together in Agadez. The recordings culminated in his album Agadez, released in April, 2011 which debuted at the top of the iTunes World Chart.
The success of 'Agadez' attracted many musical stars to Bombino including Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. In June of 2012, Auerbach produced Bombino's second international solo album to be released on Nonesuch Records early in 2013.

Jejím posláním je otevírat skrze uměleckou produkci témata spojená s migrací a ukazovat možnosti řešení sociálních problémů. Činnost Allstar Refjúdží Bandu má tři hlavní linie: divadelní projekty, koncerty, kreativní dílny. Hudebně ASRB míchá kurdský folk a pop, akordeon východoevropského stylu, čínskou operní a popovou hudbu, švýcarské nápěvky z hor a kabaretů, dixieland, brass, rap a další žánry.
Od doby svého vzniku (2008) ASRB hrál na významných festivalech (Colours of Ostrava, Eurotrialog Mikulov, Bažant Pohoda, Festival Boskovice, Trutnov Open Air Music Festival, United Islands atd.). Každoročně se účastní především multikulturních akcí jako je RefuFest, RefuFest na statku, Barevná planeta, Festival Naruby atd. V zahraničí Allstar Refjúdží Band koncertoval ve Varšavě, Berlíně, Rotterdamu, Haagu, Haarlemu a v Utrechtu. Častým hostem je na Slovensku. Skupina je rezidentním projektem pražského Divadla Archa.

Mon Laferte, nombre artístico de Monserrat Bustamante Laferte, es una cantante, compositora, actriz y productora musical chilena. Toca guitarra, piano, armónica y batería, comenzando en la música a muy temprana edad. A los 13 años entra a estudiar en el conservatorio de Viña del Mar, Chile, dedicáa tocar durante varios años en bares y festivales de la quinta región. Incluso probó suerte en las calles de Viña del mar sola con su guitarra en su etapa de estudiante. Ingresa al programa busca talentos "Rojo" de TVN, en donde se da a concoer masivamente, para luego en el 2002, firmar contrato con el sello Warner Music y lanzar su primer disco "La chica de rojo", obteniendo disco de platino en Chile.
En el 2007 parte a México con la intención de adquirir mas conocimientos musicales, Al año siguiente lanza en las radios chilenas su sencillo "Lo mismo que yo", logrando posicionarse en el primer lugar de los ranking. En julio de 2011 y de manera independiente, a través de iTunes y con la firma de la editora Warner Chappell Latin América, lanza su segundo disco llamado "Desechable", en el cual da un giro hacia el rock y cambia su nombre al actual. Este disco fue grabado a finales del 2010 en la cuidad de Leon Guanajuato y producido por César Ceja, teniendo como primer corte de difusión el tema "Soy". Con "Desechable" realizó conciertos en Chile, México, Perú y Argentina. En octubre del 2011 participó en el cierre de la Marcha por la Diversidad sexual en Santiago de Chile, actuación que tuvo un marco de 30 mil asistentes.
A la fecha ha lanzado 4 videoclips de su disco "Desechable", uno de ellos "Tóxico", fue grabado en Perú y México, dirigido por Ana María Alva y por la propia Mon. El tema "Desechable", que además titula el álbum, fue el primer video clip-cortometraje de la artista grabado en Chile por el destacado director Sebastián Soto Chacón, al igual que los videos de "Soy" y "Depresión". Además, compuso el soundtrack de la película "El Buen Pedro" del reconocido cineasta peruano Sandro Ventura.
Durante el primer semestre de 2012 participa como jurado del programa de televisión chilena, FACTOR X de TVN, año en que además acepta ser vocalista de la destacada banda de metal mexicana "MYSTICA GIRLS", integrada sólo por mujeres, quienes poseen una importante trayectoria en ese país, llegando incluso a presentarse en el festival Vive Latino.
Hacia fines de 2012 registra su tercer disco solista titulado "Tornasol", el cual es fabricado y alznado primero en Chile que en México durante los meses de enero y febrero de 2013. Este disco explora fusiones del rock con blues, reggae, electrónica e incluso el bolero.

Zak Waters, a Los Angeles native, emerged in early 2011 and arrived on the scene oozing with confidence, sex appeal, and charismatic vocal ability. His creations are perfectly crafted pop songs infused with contagious dance hits. In 2011, he began releasing original tracks along with his first solo EP "New Normal". 'New Normal' was an instant success among the top music blogs, praising his unique spin on electro / pop & soul. On the stage, Waters & his full live band have been shaking up dance floors across the country with his impressive and ambitious solo work ever since it's inception.
Due to his quick success & buzz, he was asked to collaborate with one of the youngest & most talented producers & DJs in the dance scene, Madeon. Waters collaborated and wrote the melody and lyrics to Madeons biggest song to date, "The City", released in Oct. 2012. With the track being #1 instantly on UK's Radio One and its commercial success, Waters solo tunes were getting noticed on a different level. Waters was featured on NBC's late night hit show, "Last Call with Carson Daly" in Dec 2012 which gave a great look inside the craft and mind of his art. Besides his singing and songwriting, his producing was being noticed which led to his official remixes of major artists, Adam Lambert, All American Rejects and Foxy Shazam. Most recently, Waters has been in the studio and collaborating with other highly acclaimed and well respected DJs such the nu-disco, house duo The Knocks, as well as Dillion Francis, Felix Cartel and Hot Mouth and DCUP. Aside from his successful collaborations, Waters' live DJ set has been noticed as versatile, mixing live vocals as well as playing much of his own infectious dance music, similar to that of Calvin Harris.
In the center of all of Zak Waters' hard work with other fellow writers/producers and DJs, Waters has been eager to release his highly-anticipated first full length album in 2013. Shortly after the release of his album, fans and club-goers can look forward to a Club Mix EP, which will be used in his DJ sets. 2013 is proving to be a fast-paced and highly successful year for this Los Angeles up-and comer, a true artist, songwriter, producer and DJ, Zak Waters.
