In Episode 7, Maggie shares her convo with the spectacular Katie Painter, who appears to have found the secret to stretching out her days well beyond 24 hours. She is a mom of 3 who holds a full time job as well as 3, count them 3! side hustles. She shares how she manages all of that by using her mindfulness and self-care practices. This episode is a great one for moms, as we talk about that "overwhelm monster" that always seems to be lurking around us, and how we can combat those feelings (hint: ignoring them won't make them go away!).

You can find Katie on her FB page @canmamagetfit.

We talk about lots of relevant mom topics, such as self-care and the risk associated with jumping on trampolines after having kids ;-D Lots of laughs and good convo ensues.

Andrea's website is obrienwellness.com, where you can find her social media links (definitely follow her on FB and IG!), as well as her fabulous "21 Days of Mindfullness" free email series, which I really enjoyed.

In this episode, I discuss what is feels like to have a blog and a podcast. I mean, I'm not anyone special, I'm just a regular mom! To this day, it is still scary to put myself out there! As Brené Brown has said, "what is worth doing even if you fail?" Although I am a newbie at podcasting, I have such a blast doing it, and life is just too short not to go for it, even if your scared. Perhaps even, that exhilirating fear may be the reason to go for it!

The interview you'll hear today features the radiant Gina Rossi, a Kundalini yoga instructor right here in New Hartford, NY. Teaching Kundalini yoga has become her passion, and we chat about all of the incredible healing powers of this unique yoga. As she says in class, the weirder, the better! Find Gina on Facebook at Kundalini Yoga with Gina and her website is www.kundaliniyogig.com.

In the second episode, I chat a little bit about the cray days of May, amirite??? Also, I pose the question- when will you give your child their own smart phone? I bring up an insightful article by my girl Rachel Macy Stafford, Tether Yourself: The Enlightening Talk Parents Aren’t Having Can Keep Teens from a Damaging Drift

I share with you a conversation I had with a speech-language pathologist mom friend of mine, Karen Davis. We talk momming and we talk speech and language development throughout early childhood and elementary years. Karen's career experience offers a lot of insight into how we can help our kids with this key area of development, both for social reasons and academically.

In the very first episode, I'll talk about my inspiration for starting my very own podcast: to continue the conversation I've started on my blog, TheShortestTallman.com. I think I probably said the words "thrilled" and "excited" about 100x too many, but I am indeed SO thrilled and excited to be exploring this new medium!

Episode 1 includes my interview with the beautiful soul, Cari Sans, who is an experienced therapist and life coach. We discuss lots of things, including mommyhood, balance, self-love, and relationships. You can find Cari on her website, carisans.com, on her facebook page @coachcarisans, and Instagram @caricsans.
