The accuracy of the prophecy given to Daniel beginning in chapter 11 concerning the histories of the Persian and Greek Empires is so detailed that it has caused doubters to question whether or not the Book of Daniel was actually written by Daniel in the 6th century BC. Many argue that the book must have been written by someone other than Daniel later than the time of Daniel because the prophecies contained in Daniel are so accurate as to be unbelievable.
As David and Phil dive into chapter 11 of Daniel, remember that God is omniscient and knows everything from beginning to end, and was able to reveal the future in detail to Daniel.

The Medo-Persian Empire has just defeated the Babylonian Empire and the 70-year captivity that Jeremiah prophesied about was coming to an end. That, along with Isaiah’s prophesy that it was a king named Cyrus who was going to set God’s people free to return to Jerusalem, meant that the Hebrew people were getting ready to return home!
How does Daniel respond? By doing what so few seem to do today. He turns to the Lord in prayer.

There’s much to learn from this 8th chapter of Daniel containing the 2nd of Daniel’s 4 visions. In its 27 verses we find Daniel, the receiver of the vision, a ram, a he goat, 2 long horns, the 2nd of which was both longer and later than the 1st, a great horn, 4 notable horns, a little horn, the angel Gabriel, and the Prince of princes – Jesus Christ.
In it is revealed future events at the time of Daniel’s vision spanning 386 years of history, and yet in many ways, it prophesies events yet to occur to this day. Events that will not occur until the very end of time on earth as we know it.

In God's eyes the world is composed of the saved and unsaved through faith in Jesus Christ and He knows who they are, of course. But there exists a couple of other groups that, while God is not confused as to the condition of their souls, they are.
