My guest today is the multitalented, multifaceted composer, author, and poet Regina Harris Baiocchi: https://reginaharrisbaiocchi.com/ We talk about her work as a writer and a composer, her Haiku Festival (and its connection to Gwendolyn Brooks’s legacy), her composer collective 6Degrees Composers, and much more. Louisa released her first EP as a producer in 2015 on the Border Beats Recordings label, and a track with the Always Moving People label in 2016 under the alias Luisa N. As a DJ, Luisa has shared the booth with Hito, Lazaro Casanova, Italoboys, Alex Young, Ryan Crosson, Kim Ann Foxman, John Acquaviva, and Pirupa, to name a few. Defining Luisa's style is difficult because she is open to any sound, style, or musical genre. Luisa likes to play from techno, disco, jazz, experimental to house.
