@tonitressOn April 26, 1986, a catastrophic nuclear accident occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Soviet Union, in the town of Pripyat. The accident was caused by a flawed reactor design and human error during a safety test. The resulting explosion and subsequent fire released a significant amount of radioactive material into the atmosphere, making it one of the worst nuclear disasters in history.Immediately after the explosion, the plant's staff attempted to contain the situation. However, due to the lack of proper safety measures and the severity of the accident, their efforts were insufficient. As a result, a large area surrounding the plant was contaminated with radioactive particles, posing a significant threat to human health and the environment.In response to the catastrophe the evacuation of the nearby town of Pripyat, which housed the plant's workers and their families was the girst step of the responsible afministration . Following the evacuation, a 30-kilometer exclusion zone was established around the plant, effectively sealing off the area from the outside world. This Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, remains in place to this day and is strictly regulated to prevent unauthorized access.In the years that followed, extensive decontamination efforts were undertaken to reduce the levels of radiation in the affected areas. This included the construction of a concrete sarcophagus, known as the Chernobyl Shelter, to contain the damaged reactor and prevent further release of radioactive material. Today, the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone stands as a haunting reminder of the catastrophic events that unfolded in 1986. It serves as a testament to the importance of nuclear safety and the need for stringent regulations in the operation of nuclear power plants.

The world looks like transformed into a dystopian labyrinth of concrete and steel, where the neon lights flickered through the thick mist, casting an eerie glow on the rain-soaked streets.We ventured out into the night - clad in a waterproof trench coats and armed with a trusty flashlights. As we walked, the raindrops drummed on our umbrellas, creating a symphony of melancholic melodies. Exactly those one you're hearing just right now. The city's once vibrant energy had been replaced by an unsettling silence, broken only by the distant hum of machinery and the occasional crackle of thunder. The rain seemed to wash away the remnants of hope, leaving behind a sense of desolation that hung heavy in the air.Navigating through the labyrinthine alleyways, we stumbled upon a hidden underground passage. The walls were damp and covered in moss, whispering secrets of a forgotten time.As we ventured deeper, the passage opened up into a vast underground chamber. The sight that greeted us was both awe-inspiring and haunting. The chamber was filled with towering structures, remnants of a forgotten civilization of the 90s. The rainwater cascaded down the walls, creating a mesmerizing waterfall that echoed through the chamber.Our heart is racing with excitement as we explored the ruins, piecing together fragments of the past. We are discovering faded murals depicting a world once filled with lush greenery and clear blue skies.

Following their excellent remix of Chapeau Claque’s “Blütenstaubromanze”, END OF TAPE’s current release “Data Store” comes at you like a rocket and ignites the dancefloor. It drives forward with an analog synth sound and rolling grooves that leave behind a trace of longing for the next ETUI release. They share the A-side with Mentalic and his melodrama “Sweet Little Sixteen” which is not in the least sweet or innocent. It’s a neat and sensitive techno track that he puts into the ETUI jukebox.
