There are more than 68,000 thousand students who claim to be homeless in their FAFSA application (CBSnews). Many people are not aware of the severity of student hunger and homelessness. It is a long and extremely difficult process to prove to financial aid and the federal government that their case is true and they're seeking for external support. The delay of this process can cause students scholarships, housing, and other time sensitive resources. Not to mention this process happens every new school year. Please help create awareness to this issue, and if you come across a student experiencing this, remember to be sensitive to the subject and just by listening can go a long way.
