About this Episode: Todd Hibbs returns to Alma Fighting Scots as Director of Wrestling and Assistant AD. He served as Head Coach at Alma 2011 to 2016. Hibbs served as NCAA Announcer for several years at the Division I, II and III level. Prior to Alma in 2011, Hibbs served as vice president for advancement, assistant professor and head wrestling coach at Olivet College, where he rebuilt an eliminated program into a top-10 team nationally, from 2004-11. Hibbs worked in various capacities at Michigan State University from 1990-2000.

Wayne Martin, former coach at Great Bridge High School (GBHS) in Chesapeake, Virginia was a VHSL state wrestling champion (Kempsville High School – 1978). Wayne, the original architect of the GBHS program, began his coaching career at GBHS in 1983. He quickly implemented the “Granby Style” of wrestling, and transformed GBHS into a state and nationally recognized He produced 22 individual state champions, 47 state place winners. His 1987 and 1989 squads were ranked 4th and 3rd respectfully in the final national rankings. Wayne is in his thirty-ninth year as an employee of Chesapeake Public Schools and serves as Director of Student Services.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE: After graduating from East Carolina University in 1970 Coach Marsh began a coaching career that spanned 27 years. The majority of those years were as the Head Coach at New Bern High. Marsh fashioned a 357-113-2 career coaching record. He is proud of the 11 state high school champions. Over his career, Tom Marsh directed over 90 tournaments in Eastern North Carolina including numerous North Carolina State Games Wrestling Tournaments

About this Episode: Erik Burnett is Ohio Wrestling. His roots run deep from training under his father Ron Burnett. After winning 4 state titles at Oberlin he went on to become an All-American at Clarion. He returned to Northeast Ohio to help run Ron's program, All American Wrestling Club. Pankil Chander currently coaches at Springfield College in Massachusetts. He previously coached at Bloomsburg University & Gettysburg College.
Prior to coaching, Chander attended Wilkes University, where he was a four-year letter winner and standout on the mat while earning a Bachelor's degree of Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Sports Management. Chander was a NWCA Scholar All-American and a four-year starter for the Wilkes Colonels that were ranked nationally in each of his four seasons.

Malave takes over at Case Western Reserve Universite after five years at his alma mater, the University of Mount Union. As head coach his team produced two National Champions, 14 national qualifiers, six All-Americans and a pair of top-10 national team finishes. He coached at the High School level prior to NCAA coaching (Firelands & Union Pines, NC)
Malave began his career in coaching after an accomplished collegiate career as a wrestler at Mount Union. He was a two-time national qualifier for the Purple Raiders, earning All-America honors in 2012. A two-time team captain for the program, Malave was a three-time All-OAC selection, a two-time conference champion, and a two-time NWCA Scholar All-American.

Coach Thatcher has spent over 20 years at Penn State, Oklahoma and The Ohio State University as an Athlete and Coach.
He was a Captain and All-American at Penn State University. He was a Pan Am Bronze medalist for team USA and represented Team USA at the University World Championships. He has coached a Junior World Team for USA and his recent athletes that he has coach include Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder, Myles Martin, Kollin Moore, Tommy Rowlands, Nick Heflin, Mike Pucillo and many more.
He was a coach for the 2015 Big Ten and NCAA championship TEAM AT Ohio State

In Episode 8, we meet with Coach Will Knight of Shaker Heights. Coach Knight talks about his path from Shaker to Ohio State and back to Shaker to coach. He tells stories of Kevin "The Monster" Randleman in Columbus and his amazing athleticism. Although Coach Knight never qualified for the State Championships he went on to place in the Big Ten's, Coach Knight also discusses how he got into Greco and went on to help coach throughout Ohio. He shares stories of the Burnetts and the Milan Barn and assisting in the development of Logan Stieber in Greco.
