In this episode, we talk about:
- How she created her box, with her background as a music teacher and homeschooling mama.
- Why she recommends a strong launch if you decide to create a subscription box yourself.
- What success looks like to her, and how you can find successful moments within your own business or daily life today.

I was having brunch with a friend last weekend and I was served two pancakes; the chef thought the first one was a little burnt. If you were at a Denny's or an iHop, they'd probably serve it to you anyway, but this chef worked at the restaurant known for their pancakes. So he still served it, he just served it with a second pancake. It was this interaction that's prompted this episode. Episode 129 of the Moments with an MEO podcast is about why it's important to own up to your mistakes, say you don't know, and just be honest when it comes to your work.

The last two weeks I have said no to a lot of things; but none of them were easy. In this episode, I want to help you understand that it's not easy for any of us to say no, but also to recognize that saying no is important. I said no to a few volunteer opportunities as well as some things that were bringing me income, and I talk about them a little bit in this episode, along with my decision to say no. Episode 128 of the Moments with an MEO podcast is all about the week of saying no.

It finally happened, listener: I got my first "you're overweight - go for a run" comment on a reel I did a few weeks ago. At first I was crushed, but then I used it to motivate me to create this podcast episode. We all have moments, if not all the time, that we feel like we can't show up in fear of being judged, called fat (or worse), and we choose to hide ourselves instead of showing up because of that fear. Episode 127 of the Moments with an MEO podcast is about showing up on social media for your business even when you don't feel confident in your appearance.

Remember when we couldn't eat birthday cake with our friends because of a pandemic? I remember. So does Karen and her (at the time) 6 year old son, who's heartbreaking virtual birthday realization prompted Karen Hetz to start a cake box company to bring birthday cake to children all across America. Often we get told our ideal client is our past self - but what happens if your true passion and calling is for a client or customer that isn't who you were or who you are? How do you show up as an expert in an area you've never walked? How do you handle the negative self-talk around being "qualified" to be there as a beacon of leadership in the space? These questions are exactly the questions Ashley Nichole, of Life Purely Nourished, had until our MEO Retreat in Phoenix, AZ. This is NOT your average podcast episode about nutrition; we don't talk about diets or how to lose weight at all. Instead, we are talking about ways to get more focused, work more intentionally and less hours, and even how to move your body joyfully.
In this episode, Mary-Catherine and I discuss:
- Substitutes for caffeine you probably didn't even know were options.
- How to know which foods to each without reading food labels at the grocery store.
- The power of scheduling your meals - and why I have been scheduling my lunch meals since we recorded this episode!
- Her perfect snack formula to get you over that evening energy slump.
- Joyful movement; why exercise doesn't have to be a chore or obligation.

In this episode, Colleen and I discuss:
- Her story; why it took nearly 10 years before she actually sat down and created the business of her dreams, and how her spouse supported her and finally gave her the nudge she needed to go for it.
- How difficult transitioning from military life to civilian life can be, and how her family got through it together.
- Getting discouraged- through mindset blocks and other "mentors" feeding the fears - and how she found support.
- How she grew her business start to finish through organic connections and networking, and how she and her husband figured it all out.
- Her advice answering your listener questions on child anxiety and nightmares.

- What the haters are saying about gratitude
- How you can take action today to start practicing gratitude

What does the enneagram have to do with entrepreneurship? That's the exact question I asked our guest, Lisa Winbolt, about on today's episode!
Lisa is an enneagram coach, helping military spouses, couples, and other women dive deep into why they behave, desire and are motivated by things the way that they do. Lisa is a military spouse, homeschool mama, and a full believer in the power of God and enneagram.
I asked Lisa questions like:
- What is the enneagram?
- What enneagram types are most common?
- What does each enneagram excel at? (Can you spot a type that stands out as your own?)
- What tests work to identify your type and which do not?
