Welcome to my podcast channel all about buying and selling property in Malaga Spain after 30 years as a property Consultant. As the shows are "International" I will be always speaking slowly, so non-English speakers can get a better Idea and understand better. The shows will be about local news and events in Malaga Spain as well as advice on buying and selling property. I also work full time dealing with major legal issues people have with their Spanish property and you can find more on my website link. The shows are not what one could call professional but will be informative to people who like Spain or want to live here, or already own property here. Thank you.
Well again it's been a long time folks since I have had chance to sit down a make a podcast but I thought I would get this one in before I go into hospital and when I hopefully come out the front entrance and "Not the back" I will feel a bit more like making YouTube videos and have a few days off to make another podcast. Hi and welcome back to Just rural Spain and in this podcast I am going into a little about Via Pecuarias, Corredores Verdes. Cordeles. Veredas. Cañadas etc as well as Zonas Policiales. These are no go areas which go back before roads had been built and were used for transporting merchandise between villages and collection points to be taken down to Malaga port destined for various parts of the world. The laws I am mentioning may seem "Old Hat" and of no importance. This podcast will explain a little about just how important they are.

OK, I'm late again!. it's been hectic down here in sunny Malaga with work and the car breaking down to add salt to the wounds. This podcast is about the Spanish people that are normally retired but have their own little lists of properties that never get on websites or in adverts, "why" I hear you ask. Welcome back to Just Rural Spain.
Apologies for being late with this one, it's been a heavy week and this week coming about the same.
This podcast just throws some light on what you should have in your deeds as far as the property description is concerned. So many deeds that I see are just bare bones with vert little detail about exactly "What" you are paying out your hard earned cash on.

Well here we are again, Friday soon comes around and here is my bit about what Spain is like and how some people have fitted in and others have not been so successful. I just managed to get this podcast finished before a huge thunderstorm passed over head! which could have made some nice ambient effects.....

Hi and thank you for stopping off again at my channel. This week a bit about catastro and how important is is to look into before buying or even if you already own a property here.
Your yearly taxes "IBI" are based on what is reflected in Catastro and could save you some money having this looked at if you are not sure. I have had cases where people are paying rates for a house near to where they live and not on the one they actually own. It is important as a second registry for your property as well. The link I mention in the podcast is below.

Hi, Welcome back to Just Rural Spain, your weekly dose about buying property in Spain and my thoughts after 30 years working as a property consultant and the construction of new properties. This episode is a quick run down of the "basics" when you have made a decision to buy a certain property along with a few things to keep an eye open for.
I did forget to mention when buying a property with very old wooden beams, make sure they are solid and not full of minute little holes, does not happen very often but you need to cover your back and make sure there is no little friends inside which you may hear munching at night having a "tapa" or two!.

My thoughts and advice for people who are thinking about moving to Spain permanently and the information I give in this show are from talks I have had with many clients over the years and how they have gone about making the decision to move here.
The best advice as you will hear in my show is to think outside the box and spend a good amount of time here first, preferably in the summer so you get a taste of the heat for a long stretch of time and not just a week's holiday.
