Beauty For Ashes

Hey!
My name is Shaina! Some of you might be asking, "How did she get so bold?" Well to be completely honest, I was in mourning. God was calling me out of a 7 year relationship and I didn't know what was ahead. But then I got to the point where I literally could not imagine doing life on my own anymore. I didn't want to figure it out. I didn't want to move out of my will any longer. I looked up and found myself lost, confused, hurt, and alone.
But Jesus swooped in and was like "Nah sis! That's not who I called you to be. I called you worthy. I know who I created you to be. I want to give you beauty for ashes." God just wanted my YES, and it was when I gave Him my YES, that my life began to change.
So you might be wondering what this means. What does it mean to give God our YES? What does beauty for ashes look like? You might be thinking, "I believe in God but I just don't know what to do after that." Trust me, I've been there. I'm also still learning and growing in my relationship. (Peep I said relationship not religion). What I do know is that God didn't call us to walk this walk alone. [Isaiah 41:10; Ecclesiastes 4:10; Proverbs 27:17] He never said it would be easy, but it truly is worth it.
Join me as we talk about the real! Seriously. Ya'll will leave here knowing a whole lot about me, because through our lessons, we expose the enemy for what he is: A LIAR. A THIEF. The thief come only to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus came so that we may have LIFE and have it more abundantly! [John 10:10] So then we apply pressure. This is simply another way to say we are incorporating God's word. Why? Because pressure makes diamonds and God is a refiner. He's in the transformation business!
So trade in your ashes for beauty, your mourning for joy, and your despair for praise so we can live this righteous life together!
Isaiah 61:3
"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."
