As a believer, you have to remain flexible, pliable, and adjustable. Often growth is stunted in a relationship with God and others when you get "stuck" and are unwilling to make the necessary adjustments to see more and to experience a higher calling in God. In order for you to see something different, you must be willing to do something different. It's often said insanity is defined as, doing the same thing repeatedly but expecting different results. Therefore, if the brook has dried up in a particular area of your life maybe God has been preparing you for change. If so, embrace it.
Being refined isn't fun. The process of waiting on God can be painful at times! But the pain you feel is a good kind of pain; a growing pain. Remember you won't always be in the waiting room. At some point you will be called back to see the doctor and receive the medicine you need. God is doing some amazing things in your life right now and you'll see it all unfold in time.Be patient, take a few deep breaths and remember His faithfulness. He didn't bring you this far to leave you!
When everything in you wants to quit, remember that you were chosen before the foundation of the world. He already knew everything that you would ever face and has ALREADY worked it out for your good. Trust God and know it's working for your good.
The road of life will not always be clear. You will have many detours, speed bumps, debris to avoid, flat tires, and many other things. You can either wait for the road work to end or take the detour!
We all know people who live according to their own desires and natural abilities. Sometimes we do it too. But as children of God, believers are called to walk by faith. That means we are to live based on a confident assurance that the Lord is true to His character and keeps every promise.
