The Christ-In Culture is a podcast that begins the discussion in which we recognize that our human desires draw us deeper into a relationship with Christ. Through this open dialogue we attempt to show that our culture is a manifestation of our longing for Christ even in the seemingly small and mundane aspects of everyday life. Using primarily sources of apparently secular media we hope to foster within others a familiarity in actively participating in this discussion in their daily lives. Thoughts and opinions are our own and do not necessarily portray the teachings of the Catholic Church or the Diocese of Galveston-Houston.

When we "Aim Small" towards a heavenly goal, our "cause," we are more likely to stay on track for that goal. So many times in our lives we decide to remain where we are because it seems like the safer option. Spiritual warfare is dirty. Oftentimes the innocent are swept up in the aftermath whether they choose to act or are too afraid to get involved. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Often times as we grow up, we cease to experience the awe that we once had when encountering things of great beauty and truth. Imagine a young child hearing a new fun song. It brings them great joy and sometimes they will play it over and over and dance until they drop. Or imagine a child being told a great story for the first time. They are immediately filled with awe and wonder. Scripture tells us this is how we are to live our faith; like a child. We experience great beauty and we rejoice in that knowing that it's a gift from the creator. We experience great truth and we are filled with love and joy because God is himself that truth. This Christmas, allow yourself to be a child of wonder and joy. Don't be blinded by the stubbornness and pride that we as adults often let numb us to things of great simplicity in beauty and truth.
