Our regiment has moved again, this time to Xinti, and is preparing for another engagement with the enemy in the coming days. I am eating well and getting enough rest, though my pre-fab quarters could stand to have a few less vermin in them if you ask me.
Since the great powers in this New Systems Commonwealth have now decided to part ways in their ideals, we citizens of it are now forced to take up arms against one another. I for one am proud to stand for the ideals of the Commonwealth against these rebellious Collectors. Rest assured I will make you proud and will endeavor to return home to you as soon as possible, this war permitting.

Seamus Harper. No, we don't think that was a particularly smart idea either, but Dylan was called away on another matter so this is what we got. It's an episode of intrigue, name calling, lots of sass, and yes, brains: "Machinery of The Mind".
Welcome back to Drive Back the Night, in this episode: Dylan fulfills a 300 year old prophecy. Beka and Rhade get stumped by these faux walls. Any combat situation is a gamble, sometimes you lose and the house collects. For the High Guard cruiser Lancer's Hope, their luck ran out. Dylan responds by rushing headlong into the unknown to find out what happened at Almaghast only to find himself in a situation that is stranger than fiction. Time to place your bets as to how Dylan will handle himself in the episode "Double Or Nothingness".
She's baaaack! Molly drops in for a visit with Dylan...actually, it's the other way around. Then there's the fact that not much visiting is happening because a mad, 500 year old android named Kroton is trying to kill all organic life in the galaxies. But hey, it was good to see Molly again anyway...right? We find out in Waking the Tyrant's Device.

Last time on Andromeda, things pretty much went to heck in a hand basket. Tyr is gone, the Commonwealth fleet is wrecked, all seems lost. In this moment of crisis, Dylan and crew pause for a moment to consider pushing on or turning their backs on the galaxies. Good thing they agree to press on, because that would make for one depressing episode if they didn't. First thing to address: Paroo, former security head of the New Systems Commonwealth, and one heck of a basket-case. Dylan and crew claw their way back from an abyss, only to find themselves starring into the face of The Abyss. Pay close attention, you are about to get Answers Given To Questions Never Asked.

WANTED - Unknown villain seeks henchman to do evil bidding. Candidate must be at least 2.5 meters tall, of stout build and capable of pulling magnetically welded panels from walls. Technical experience in slipstream drives a plus. Name, language skills and character references are not necessary. Perks of the position include use of mysterious 12,000 year old body armor with immunity to bullets and the capability of tesseracting through space. It's Mad To Be Saved
When adventure calls, Dylan Hunt is always there to answer. But who will he ask to assist him on this week's adventure? Tyr? That would be a good call. Becka? She's a great pilot and good with a zinger. Trance? Certainly a good choice. How about Harper...what? That's right, Dylan calls up our favorite little supergenius to stand with him in a quest for a relic of ultimate power. How will they fair in parts of the galaxy unseemly? We'll find out in this episode, The Shards of Rimni.
The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round...and then fly off completely. Tyr and Becka are missing, so are the Commonwealth delegates. The Maru is a wreck...I guess that's not really anything new though. Dylan is alone with Harper, Trance and Rommie facing an uncertain future. But wait! The Maru can still fly! Tyr and Becka magically return! Everything is just fine. Or is it? What questions will get answered at the start of Season 3? We'll just level with you now...none. Pass the lug wrench as we try to sort out what happens in "If The Wheel Is Fixed".
We pause between seasons again to savor what we've enjoyed, and poke some fun at what we've seen in the second season of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. We round out our talk with our picks for best and worst episodes of season 2.
Two long years have passed since Dylan Hunt emerged from the long night into the light of a universe that had passed him by. Re-establishing the New Systems Commonwealth has been an immense task and many a roadblock has been set in his way. But now the signing of 50 worlds in a Commonwealth charter his about to take place on the Andromeda Ascendant, what could possibly go wrong at this point? Much it seems. A darkness emerges and brings with it a fight, Dylan and crew must travel the Tunnel At the End Of the Light.
Around and around and around Tyr goes. Where he'll stop, nobody knows. He berates the crew and tells them "get busy!" No one is for certain why he is all in a tizzy. Harper takes the Maru and flys around for awhile, as Tyr drops in on a friend, with style. A few months ago Tyr forgot contraception, what consequence we'll see in "Immaculate Perception."
There comes a time in every ships life when it feels the need to settle down, put down roots, make a home with good friends and something worthwhile to do. The Clarion's Call and its avatar "Ryan" felt that way and turned itself into a casino. But then Dylan Hunt showed up and ruined it all. What happened to that casino in the sky? We may never know. But Ryan get's to set off on a most excellent adventure with Dylan and his proverbial white horse. What adventure awaits them? What lessons have we learned and so quickly forgotten? No one says "Ni" and there might not be a Bridge of Death, but we have a devil of a time discussing The Knight, Death and the Devil
Like any primitive culture, the Savions, have legendary, mythological stories of giant beasts that roam the stars eating planets. Fortunately, the Andromeda was able to catch their HAM radio signal forecasting the end of their world just in time to let them know that everything they believe in is not real and everything will be fine. That is, until it swallows the Andromeda whole. How will they get out of this one? The safe bet would probably be exploding AP tanks and ejecting slip stream cores... but let's find out as we digest this episode deep inside the "Belly of the Beast."
What's blue, has four legs and can make planets disappear? I'll show you. That thing right there... oh, now it's over there... did you see it? Well, it's gone now. Anyway, it was a Vedran. No, really, they're real! And we actually get to meet one this week in "The Fair Unknown."

This week we get off the ship for an exciting adventure. But Tyr doesn't go because if he does he'll die, while Harper and Rommie stay behind for some other reasons that aren't important.
Dylan, Beka and Trance go looking for an engine of something, but instead find a trio of hooligans, one of which might be Trance's brother, and a spinny wheel sword decapitator thing. They also find the Engine.
Some might call it, "Indiana Jones in Space." We call it, "In Heaven Now Are Three."
One thing the Than hate is dead people walking around and they will stop at nothing to exterminate the un-dead even if it means destroying their friends on the Andromeda. At least we think that's what's going on. They never actually bothered to let us in on what they're up to. What do Mayflies and Zombies have in common? Nothing really. And they're not really zombies anyway. It's a super alien race taking over human bodies and operating in a zombie like state. They're not much fun at parties and they don't like to boogie, but the living and reanimated corpses alike love to cut a rug in the "Dance of the Mayflies."
So it turns out Beka once dated RoboCop. But that was a long time ago, and he's dead now. ... Or is he???
No, he's not dead. And he's not really RoboCop either. Beka tells us a great story about her long lost love, Bobby Jensen. In person he doesn't seem so dreamy. In fact, he's really kind of a jerk. The moral of the story: When you're wearing a metal suit, stay away from live wires. Harper envies Bobby's data port in, "Be All My Sins Remembered."
Meet Dylan; He's a worry free bachelor just looking for a way off this drift. Meet Molly; She's finally fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a cruise ship pilot. Neither of them are looking for love. But Rommie is looking for Dylan, and if he's dead she's going to kill Tyr. Also, we have new bad guys! Everybody needs someone to lava..... It's "Lava and Rockets."
It's our discussion of the Conclusion of the Andromeda series. At least, one possible conclusion according to Trance... and Robert Hewitt Wolfe. If you thought there wasn't enough going on in the episode Ouroboros then check this out. While Trance is trying to decide whether to save Harper or let his guts be ripped apart by baby Magog she has time to star in a one act play, with co-star Seamus Harper, none the less. This week the Andromeda crew meets a whole planet full of Commonwealth leftovers who have been waiting for Dylan's return. We also meet Geharis' great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandson, Telemachus, who looks exactly like his great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather. Don't worry, that's not the confusing part. It's "Home Fires."
This week the Andromeda gang set out on a relief mission to cure a deadly planet wide plague. The only thing standing in their way is a bunch of Drago-Kazov Neitzscheans. They learn some things about themselves and each other, learn some good life lessons and in their down time speak a little Latin. It's "Una Salus Victus."

She discusses her start in writing for television, shares many insights and experiences about her time working on the Andromeda series and with the episodes and characters she helped develop. This week the Andromeda crew (well, half of them at least) get into the bar scene. They come, they drink, they get in a fight and leave dozens of alien carcasses on the bar room floor... That never happened on Cheers. And Trance gets to find out if she is covered for dismemberment. Does anyone want anymore fermented mare's milk? Because it's "Last Call at the Broken Hammer."
Sometimes being pragmatic can be problematic. This week the Andromeda crew unwittingly joins the wrong side of a drug war. We meet a 2 new alien species; one is really cool and the other is totally lame (we'll let you decide which is which) and Trance shows us how to beat an interrogation. And now, with no clever segue, it's "Pitiless as the Sun."
First the crew of Andromeda stole our hearts. This week they steal the Hegemon's Heart. It may be a bit more tricky. Beka falls in love, Tyr gets in a fight and Dylan tries to save a crime boss from an angry swarm of Than. Don't just hang around feeling blue. Listen as we discuss "A Heart for Falsehood Framed."
Three week old Magog corpse does not make a good air freshener. Just ask the crew of the Andromeda. Meanwhile, Tyr's extracurricular activities catch up with him and get everyone on the Maru in a tight spot. Also, Rev Bem might eat everyone. No really, he's very hungry. Someone get this guy some salmon! It's a TV episode with a title that makes no sense, "Exit Strategies."
Everyone is busy in this episode of Andromeda. Rev Bem goes on a killing spree after a summer make-over. Harper and Tyr just hang around and wait for Dylan and Rommie to come to the rescue. Beka tires to blow everyone up with a Nova Bomb and Trance mostly walks around looking cute. Also, Tweedledee and Tweedledum go for a space walk. In this week's episode Dylan gets a bit homesick. But Beka has just the gift to cheer him up, a way home! She also picks up a little something for herself along the way, a nice flash addiction. Will the crew stand idly by and let her wreck herself? Will a flash-fried Beka actually find the way to Tarn Vedra? Everyone can agree that a little flash can be annoying but "It Makes A Lovely Light."
This week Andromeda has her first crush. Well... besides the one she had on Dylan. But this time she is crushing hard. But then her crush tries to crush her and all of her friends.
