In today's Teaching Tuesday, it is part 1 of a unit I usually teach in high school about grammar. Usually I split the information up and have the students diagram sentences, practicing identifying each part of speech that we discuss. Also, I usually use Schoolhouse Rock videos to help make it a little fun at the same time. I believe that using music in the classroom to help remember things as a great teaching/learning tool. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a way to incorporate those videos/songs into today's podcast.

Ever feel as though you're not quite on par when it comes to your writing skills? Are you falling behind when it comes to understanding what certain terms mean? On Teaching Tuesdays, I'll go through some of the basics when it comes to English and what you may need to know.

Today's Teaching Tuesday is about what a citation is and the different types of methods of citations. If you ever feel like you didn't quite understand what I said, feel free to contact me and ask me questions.
