Here in Psalm 103 David is rehearsing the goodness of the LORD. He is contemplating in his heart all the lovingkindnesses of the LORD. He’s remembering all the ways the LORD (Yahweh) has blessed him.
We’ve been considering the life and ministry of Jesus on these Sunday Mornings. The technical term is “Christology” = the study of the person and work of Christ.
Today, I want us to look again at Christ. I want you to notice with the title Jesus gives himself in Revelation 1:17 “The Living One”.
In the past 5 messages we have discovered … o The doctrine of His deity o The doctrine of His humanity o The Mind of Christ o Jesus, the Christ o 8 Biblical reasons for affirming Jesus as, The Christ Today, we behold the Servant of Jehovah, which is none other than Jesus Christ.
We live in a generally sad world, a fallen world well acquainted with despair, depression, disappointment, dissatisfaction, and a longing for happiness that often never comes. The scripture makes it clear that the fullest, most lasting and satisfying joy is comes from a relationship with God.
The greatest subject we can study, this highest, most sublime thoughts we can attain is Jesus Christ.
In our modern world with all of its technology we are literally bombarded daily with a flood of information. Most of this information is not biblical or beneficial to you as a person. In fact, most of it is detrimental to a healthy walk with the Lord.
Last week we studied the deity of Jesus, this week I want to place before us the humanity of Jesus; God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ.
One of the great emphasis which the apostles pressed upon the early church was the necessity of correct doctrine. I believe choosing the correct church for your family has never been more vital than it is today.
To Gird -means to bind something tightly around you for the purpose of getting ready for action or strenuous labor. The Belt of Truth -refers to what is true (content, facts, reality, absolute truth), and to be in accord with what is true.
