Tanay Manjrekar is a power electronics specialist and one of the first humans to ride the Virgin Hyperloop. The hyperloop is a mode of passenger and freight transportation that travels at breakneck speeds using contactless levitation and propulsion systems. Tanay grew up in Pune, being the first Indian to be a part of this historical team. He describes his journey in this installment of the ATC Podcast. Chris "Tatted Strength" Luera is an American bar athlete, calisthenics trainer, and celebrity fitness, instructor. He has been a multiple-time Battle of the Bars Middleweight World Champion and is a World Calisthenics Organization Master Trainer. Chris was an ex-gang member but decided to denounce his life in crime to pursue his career as a fitness instructor. His first family, the one that he was born into, was troubled by all sorts of problems, like drugs and alcohol. Chris's life was difficult and full of challenges, he shares his life story and more with us in this iteration of the ATC podcast.
In this episode of At A Crossroads Anagha, a psychologist who specializes in counseling and cognitive behavior, who has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Columbia University and has over 4 years of experience in the field, walks us through the fundamentals of mental health and the science behind it. We are proud to have yet another BITsian with us from the class of 2015, Sahaj Dasot. A strange yet fascinating story, Sahaj was eligible for the hot-shot, totally secure, and high-paying Computer Science course, and yet he chose Mechanical Engineering over it. He interned at corporations like JP Morgan and Schlumberger before graduating in 2015. He worked as a consultant at Bain and Co. for roughly 2 years. After which he would be one of the pivotal figures in drafting the Skill India Mission. It aimed to train over 40 crore Indians in different skills. In 2019 he went on to study MBA from one of the most esteemed institutes in the world, INSEAD. We will be talking about his life as a consultant along with exclusive advice from Sahaj for future consultants.
