Ending off the year with a wrap up podcast, we say goodbye to school and hello to summer. As we reflect on this year, we talk about things we would’ve told ourselves at the beginning of the year, pieces of advice for incoming freshmen and our goals for the upcoming fall quarter. However, school is out now and we are ready for a sunny and blissful summer!
Need a good laugh right before finals? Check out the”Hot Ones” type style podcast we did with the Comedians of Western (C.O.W) and Dead Parrots Society (DPS) as they face off in a battle of comedy, whilst downing a bottle of hot sauce. Being two of the comedic clubs on campus, Comedians of Western is the stand up comedy club at Western while Dead Parrots Society is the improv club on campus.

Inspired by the NPR Tiny Desk, Wavelength was joined by one of Bellingham's local bands, Kitty Obsidian, to be interviewed and even play a few songs. Kitty Obsidian is an R&B band, comprised of two current Western students. Watch as we uncover how the band formed, learn insights about the members, and listen to a live performance on set.
ASMR has become popular over the past couple years and today, we're breaking the stigma! As we've been wanting to film an ASMR type style video, we finally got a chance to sit down and tap on some very Western objects. We asked you what is inherently Western and we took inspiration as we used an eclectic amount of items such as parking tickets, gemstones, and more! We are by no means pros, but we hope those who aren't into ASMR understand a little bit more about its community as well as its purpose. Now, take a deep breath, close your eyes, and relax as you listen to the sounds of Western Washington University.
With the second installment of interviewing anonymous popular WWU Instagram accounts, we met with the photoshop god themselves, WWU affirmations, to sit down and chat about their rise to fame and what inspired them to create their "meme" account. From the beginning of their account to the end of their time at Western, we highlighted how important these accounts can be to create community and connection in a post-pandemic world as people navigate their college identity. Join us as we sit down, have some laughs with some fabulous costumes, as an ode to WWU affirmations legacy! Huge thank you to their contribution to this podcast!

As this year's theme for Black History month is being 'Unapologetically Black', we sat down to discuss what that means for those who are celebrating their identity during this period. Deep diving into Black experiences and overall POC experiences at Western, we detail the importance of diversity and belonging at a predominantly white institution. Being one of the points of connection, Tekhia and Yonnie explain what the Black Student Union does and how its organization bridges its community together.

As this episode has been long waited by many, we sat down with WWU's anonymous celebrity, NewWWUVoice, to talk about their rise to fame and their widely known account across campus. As this is their first-feature interview with any publication, it was such a pleasure to have them!
