This podcast is a series of audio recordings from my personal life for at least a year as I live through the Coronavirus’s introduction in our lives. Let’s look back and forth and introspect together as to what this virus means to us and how the isolation is impacting us.
It's such a paradox that so much is happening in the city and there's only so much I can tell - the view from my balcony, those five trees, those two dogs, those four garbage bins, and two ladies who come at 8 in the morning to drop the garbage!
As the list of dead continues to rise, I have begun feeling a commonality in the losses of other people. They have begun feeling too personal.
As the second wave of the Pandemic surges in India, I take a pause and reflect on what this personally means to me.
I'm back with my recording of how I feel each day about this pandemic. We, in India, are in the middle of the worst crisis and there's no running out of it. I begin my journey once again, my journey of collecting my thoughts as they arrive on various days.
The current reality has put so much to test. So many thoughts are being contested, so many beliefs are being questioned. Will people really help each other in these times?
As I write this, I’m completing nearly two months of being home. What does a normal life (forced by the lockdown) mean to those of us living away from families for so long?
As I write this entry, the clouds are roaring and the rain is getting heavier. What if a cloudburst occurs? I’m wondering what are the last thoughts of people who died while fighting this virus?
As soon as countries began declaring a lockdown, I knew I had to rush home. “What does a lockdown even mean?” “What is a Pandemic?” I remember how my thoughts began racing earlier this March.
