I. Whatever the circumstances, contentment is possible. a. In need, and in plenty b. Well fed or hungry II. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. III. I can do whatever God expects of me. Conc. The secret to Godly contentment in college and life is the power of Christ.
I. To serve in some ministry outlet. a. Ephesians 2:8 - Created for good works II. To become a leader and develop those skills. a. 2 Timothy 1:7 - Spirit of power III. To reproduce your leadership and faith. a. Matthew 28: 18-20 - Make disciples IV. To step out and let others lead here. a. Hebrews 12:1 - Missionaries to the church b. Run your race Conc. I am entrusting to well and reliable people
I. Set an example in speech, in life, in faith, and in purity. II. Devote yourself to: preaching, teaching, and reading of scripture. III. Don't neglect your gift! IV. Be diligent. Give yourself wholly, practice, persevere in them. Conc. You will save yourself and others.
I. Greatness that is eternal is of God. II. Greatness is not lording it over people. III. Greatness is serving others. Conc. We must follow Christ's example of leadership to be great.
I. Rejoice in the Lord always. II. Let your gentleness be evident to all. III. Do not be anxious about anything. IV. Present your requests to God in prayer. Conc. And the peace of God be with you.
I. Why should we give mercy? II. What does it mean to give mercy? III. Why would we refuse to give mercy? IV. Who demands that we give mercy? Conc. Face the wrath of God.
I. Be self-controlled and alert! II. The devil is like a roaring lion. III. The devil wants nothing good for us. IV. Our lust wants nothing Godly for us. V. We are not alone in this war with the flesh. Conc. The God of grace will restore you and make you strong
I. All Christians are part of the body of Christ. II. All Christians can receive God's gifts. III. All Christians do not have the same gifts. IV. The gifts are appointed by God for the building up of the church. V. We should eagerly desire the greater gifts. Conc. The most excellent way - The greatest is love.
I. God will bless you and keep you. II. God's face will shine on you and be gracious to you III. God will turn His face toward you and give you peace. Conc. God's name is on us and He will bless us.
- Be no longer infants!
- Speak the truth in love
- Become the mature body of Christ
- The whole body can grow together
