What kind of person can justify in the minds of his fellow citizens, the idea of one race of people not only being more important than another? Who can then too, convince people to see their neighbors as an enemy simply by virtue of their Jewish ethnicity or marginal religious beliefs? Welcome to the rise of Hitler the man who made that possible.
Racism...it is a nasty word, a nasty reality which stains societies around the world and has caused immense suffering for centuries. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the issue of racism was able to be well established within pseudo-scientific spaces where evil and uneducated people assumed there are "hierarchies" of race.
In society today we know what "influencers" do. They shape our perspective on issues of social interest. In the 18th and 19th century there were already such influencers.
In this episode we will meet two of the men who shaped the idea of "hierarchy of race", leading to the disasters of racism in the world today.
