Aberdeen has become the first city in Scotland to have lockdown restrictions reimposed. The First Minister announced this unprecedented move yesterday, after a spike in cases related to various hospitality businesses across the city. So we’ve come together to make a special episode of the Gaudie Podcast, that delves deep into what the restrictions mean for the Granite City and what the University plans to do about it, with only weeks to go before students are scheduled to return to campus.
Rosie, Rory and Anttoni talk to Matthew about their and student's experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic whilst also discussing how it might impact the next few months. Note: Views expressed by individuals in this podcast may not represent the organisations mentioned.
In the first episode, we explain what the newspaper is, talk about the news on campus, in Aberdeen and the rest of the world. We also speak to our news editor, Rosie about the Sabbatical officer Review, our Arts Editor Rory about Music and one of the newspapers head editors, Parel about the importance of student journalism.
