And more......
Today we are joined by Cameron as we discuss the following topics:
OSU segment: Clemson vs OSU wrap-up. Season Analysis. Alabama vs OSU matchup problems.
Big Ten had 4 teams that ranked top 10 all FBS in red zone, rushing defense and overall ranking (OSU, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Indiana.) Do not underestimate the level of competition OSU faced this year in a shortened season, They are battle tested. In addition, we saw OSU display something most teams underutilize and SEC teams are not ready for....the proper use of the TE position. Look out for OSU's tight ends to exploit open spaces up the middle.
Browns Playoff football: We are confident in the Browns in the matchup against the Steelers. Their keys to victory against them. What we consider necessary off season adjustments.
At some point we have to admit that over the last 20 years the Super Bowl title has run through the AFC (Brady, Manning, and Big Ben have been in over 14 of the last 18 Super Bowls) . The future of the league ( Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Watson, Burrow, maybe Tua? Eyes are on Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields possibly joining the AFC this summer) will once again lie in the hands of the AFC. Has bad drafting and poor GM decisions handicapped the NFC? What has held back their development (See Wentz, Mitchell Turbisky, Derek Carr, Kirk Cousin and Garappolo as examples.)
NFL playoffs: Packers, Buccaneers and more.
The Green Bay Packers should win this year's NFC championship and punch their ticket to the Super Bowl, anything less will conclude a 10 year run of missed opportunities for future HOF and future 3 time MVP Aaron Rodgers. He is too elite of a talent to be afforded this many unsuccessful trips to the playoffs in a weak division they have won multiple times and are preseason favorites in every year.
Who our Dark Horses are in the NFL playoffs are.
Our upset and predictions for the playoffs.
On today's episode we are joined by Jacolby (known on Twitter as @__Colb__). We discuss the development and creation of relationships through social media. Colb is a member of Elite Media, a growing sports network created by black sports fans for black consumers. Colb has relationships across the Twitter platform and discusses ending up in group chats with Twitter commentators we all known and love like Big Business, Banksy, and Josiah Johnson (the son of former NBA All star Marques Johnson, who is best known for his viral tweets, weekly Yahoo Sports segments with LaJethro Jenkins and co. and viral sketch shows). Colb talks about podcasting while working a 9-5 and helping build Elite media. One of Elite Media's first big affiliates, the Play for Keeps podcast, made a big splash a few months ago by getting a huge interview with Kevin Durant and quickly garnering attention from Kendrick Perkins while live on ESPN for their growing appreciation for high school basketball sensation, Emoni Bates. Tune in to hear our thoughts about the remaining topics below:
Thoughts on the ESPN top 100 rankings.
Would you rather build around Jokic or Murray?
The inability to build rosters around point guards (Luka is the exception).
The Celtics and their inability to build with free agents.
Why Colb believes Giannis is in his 2011 Lebron moment.
Browns to the playoffs?
Colb is from and lives in Cleveland while working remotely for Whistle Sports in LA. so naturally we discuss last weeks drop of Kid Cudi's newest studio album.

My cohosts for the day are Jared and Jake, as we discuss:
The NBA restart: Logistics of running the bubble, how well Adam Silver planned this (GOAT commish so far), our. standout players and disappointments of the NBA restart, and lastly our general opinions on the feel of the tournament and game play.
B1G and Pac 12:
We do a quick pros vs cons on the cancellation of league play for the Fall semester. 3 major thoughts on why they cancelled and why we believe the SEC and southern divisions are bluffing in order to main donors and support before inevitably cancelling too.
MLB:
Jared and Jake chop it up on the MLB. Franklin remains silent because he finds the MLB boring to watch unless it is live... which is a major topic of conversation for Jared and Jake as they discuss some of the barriers between the MLB and other sports of higher status. Starting with a lack of a clear face to the league.

- Today’s podcast we are joined by fellow CSU alumnus and current dual Masters student at Carnegie Mellon, Cameron. Today we talk about Chicago and the right lenses to look through when discussing Chicago. We address the bad side of Chicago that frequently gets swept under the rug.
- Crime is dispersed based on economic opportunities. The groundwork for crime and economic disparity was started decades ago by the government. Chicago has done a poor job perpetuating through over policing, yet under nursing the community. Today we take a deeper look into that.
Section 1: Chicago Current Problems
- Our opinions on Lori Lightfoot
- Legalization of weed
- Gang violence, extreme poverty, and gun violence
Section 2: Chicago and it’s complicated history with MLK Jr/Civil Rights Movement
- Chicago - "The most segregated city in the North." - MLK Jr. once said I think the people of Mississippi ought to come to Chicago to learn how to hate”.)
- White Chicagoans celebrated the assassination of MLK Jr. which led to looting in response to the disrespect.
- Public Housing in Chicago and how segregation was pushed as civil unrest grew.
Section 3: Current Issues Facing American Cities
- Gentrification, segregation, and evictions. Chicago's eviction rate is 1.1% compared to the nationwide rate of 2.34% but this does not include the informal eviction that go unreported or the discriminating leasing practices by landlords.
- How does real estate impact the black plight and segregation?
- Is gentrification inevitable in Chicago? And if so where do poor residents move to next?
Section 4: Police misconduct in Chicago
- Chicago spent more than $113 million on police misconduct suits in 2018, half a billion $ in 8 years.
- From 1972 to 1991 a group called the midnight crew led by Chicago detective Jon Burge tortured suspects into giving confessions.
- Between 2000 and 2008 1,300 Chicago PD officers have been the subject of at least 100 citizen complaints.
How does this get fixed? What is the next generation of policing going to look like?

This episode we are joined by my cohost Jazmine as we discuss her life journey in the inner city of Cleveland. We dive into the her success even after a past of failure, rejection, and self doubt. The first real obstacle was being academically expelled from Kent State a few years ago...
Takeaways:
Dealing with failure and rejection is tough but should not deter staying consistent and believing in yourself.
Overcoming fear and being active in your own life rather than being passive.
Betting on yourself/believing in yourself.

Today's episode we are joined by Abdo Michael Boumitri as we discuss his journey - beating brain cancer, leaving medical school due to the growing concern that we operate in a failing medical system, and his switch to a vegan plant based diet.
Abdo and I talk about the concepts of preventative medicine vs disease based medicine and how the world's dedication to the latter is harming the human population. He supports a high starch, protein, and fiber diet as a means of preventative medicine rather than responding to diseases and health problems with diet changes. One approach is an active approach while the other is a reactive approach.
His cancer diagnosis is an example, Abdo responded to the removal of his benign tumor with a new diet to reduce future medical implications.
Lastly, we discuss some changes you can make to eat a more well rounded and less animal based diet. I personally am trying to reduce my meat and cheese consumption to a more maintainable level.

In this episode I am joined by Chewy and Mykus as we discuss our shared experiences dealing with racism growing up, at work, and in social settings.
We explain our feelings on a need for police reform, our experiences with local PD, and the history behind our opinions.
How BLM is demonized in media because it is a common tactic used to discredit the movement and has been used before now. (similar tactics were used against MLK Jr., Malcom X, and more importantly the Black Panthers.)
We also dive into the fact that Black History is American History but American History is not Black History as we speak on some of the forgotten past grievances against the black community. Highlighting the difficulty of changing the landscape for the modern black individual with the past still affecting us. Lastly, we talk about how the attacks on our community throughout history have shown us that we will not be allowed to organize when we are deemed a threat by not only society but our government too. (examples: Soul City, Black Wall Street aka Tulsa Massacre, the Mulford Act, The Crime Bill, The fact that we went from an accused racist in President LBJ (passed Civil Rights bill and other key legislation for minorities ) to another accused racist in Nixon (accredited for ruining Soul City and its current use as a state prison). The white washing of American history to ignore the facts and control the narrative (Ghandi being known for his nonviolent protests but not for his reported pedophilia allegations or his known racism toward Black People and Muslims. Other examples include Mother Theresa and Susan B. Anthony).
1. Thoughts on the occurrences of last week?
2..How our companies handled the situation?
3. Our experiences with the police?
4. POC vs Black - what does it mean?
5. . A list of events in black history that get ignored - starting with Fred Hampton, Black Wall Street (relate it to Cooper NYC situation) Red Summer of 1919.
6.. Over exhaustion in the police force (pilots for airlines clock too many hours and aren’t allowed to fly, same should go for cops)
- Internal Affairs
- The lack of clear federal or state guidelines of police procedures. Most local police departments train by their own standards.
7.. History repeats itself
8. The reason we are exhausted now is because this is a weight we wake up and carry every day.
9. The amount of revenue and culture lost from black people (Elvis, rap and hip hop was considered Juvenile and imperfect and was gonna die, they tried to kill auto tune, country music is using 808s and snares but still reject the legitimacy of hip hop (Lil Nas X)
