In our last week of "Authentic," we concluded by unpacking the assurance that God promises to those who have authentic faith in Him.
Countless times we see and hear people say "I love you" or "I love God." But if they don't show authentic love from the heart they are like a "clanging cymbal."
Through the bible we see those who had authentic faith but we can see a common thread in their lives, a lifestyle of holiness.
God is love in all it's meaning but God does hate a specific kind of love. That is the love for anything of this world. Those two kinds of loves can never coexist and Pastor Tom helps us see the kind of love can easily mislead us.
Out of all the principles we can read in the bible or listen to in a sermon, God is wanting us to grasp just one... obedience. But this is a special kind of obedience, not just a checklist but a real and compelled obedience.
