Are you being authentic or doing what’s necessary to receive applause from broken people? This is not a rhetorical question because I really want you to answer it. If you have no idea how to answer this question then keep listening because my girl Ayana Blout is going to break it down for you.
Today’s conversation is special because I’m sitting down with two of Houston’s dopest melanin therapists to discuss personal growth, relationships, sexual wellness and more. Yes I said sexual wellness and we’re talking about it today. So leave your shrewdness in the other room with the kids while you sit, listen and learn. If you're listening while driving don't run into anything. LOL!
Today I'm sharing a snippet from Monday's conversation that was cut due to time constraints. However, this powerful message will NOT go unheard so I'm sharing it with you today. Let me know thoughts across social media or on my website at livinghertruthpodcast.com.
Just a reminder my Master Life Class Strategize Your Vision is officially open! If you're ready to start living the life you desire and deserve without feeling as if you're constantly sacrificing, then head over to strategizeyourvision.com to enroll today.
Today we have an important conversation to have because we're talking about strategy. Strategy is the core of this series we're in right now. You have to create a strategy to live your purpose driven life. But why you ask? Let's talk about it with Ayana Blout. She's a success coach who believe in strategy as much as I do. This is a conversation you want to listen to with pen and paper near by.
Today I want us to take a moment for deep thinking instead of staying on the surface level. We've heard "mindset shift" as a solution for winning internal battles for so long we've come to believe this is all it takes. If that's the case then why are we finding ourselves in the same battle year after year. Well let's talk about it today. We're going beyond the mindset shift because our work doesn't start and stop there.
Health is the most important element for manifesting the life we want. It's also the most important element for enjoying the life we've manifested. When it comes to our health it's my opinion we need to take a holistic approach instead of relying so heavily on medications. With a holistic approach comes a new way of thinking.
Today we're sitting down to talk with Dr. Candace Canady about chiropracticy and it's important yet overlooked role in our health. This is a conversation you should approach with an open mind because we're disspelling myths that's possibly kept you from reaching your full health potential.
Today, I'm talking to my fellow sister who's always asking for help and it seems to never come. Yes, majority of us are too afraid to ask for help. Or, we've taken on the job being everyone's else answered prayer to our detriment. Well let's talk about this from a different perspective because everyone talks about why it's important to ask for help. But who's encouraging our sisters who do ask but never get it.
As we enter week 9 in the Strategize Your Vision series we're also moving into year 2 of the pandemic. So much hope on 2021 turning into the year of super natural blessings, opportunities, and money overflow. But what if it doesn't happen for you...this year? What will you do? Have you thought about how your faith, confidence, and expectatancy will be affected?
Well let's talk about it today friend with Kendra Moorer. I don't want you feel discouraged in case God's plan doesn't fit your timeline. So listen, take notes, and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
You can follow and connect with Kendra on Instagram at @moorermotivation and her podcast (FillTheCup) can be found on SoundCloud and ApplePodcast as well as her YouTube channel is “MoorerMotivation.”
As we move into Week 8 of the Strategize Your Vision series we're talking about the interconnection of our personal and professional lives. Starting now we're eliminating the expectation for people to have double identities for where the live and work. The truth is your personal and professional environments affect each other and today we're talking about how it's so with Minda Harts. Grab your brooms so you can sweep up all these gems Mindai is dropping today.

Love is a RIGHT that we all have and it was given to us freely. I think it's been muddy up and made dirty in some spaces. But truly it's a common goal we're all striving to achieve especially after surviving 2020. Maybe you've been holding on and waiting for ""the one"" but it's taking forever. You're probably starting to question God's intent for love in your life. Well if you're able to relate to any of this, you're in the right place. We're discussing all of the above with my friend Yahnathan J. Immanuel.
Now that you know how to be powerful in the No you give, it's time to be powerful in the No you get. We're taking a page from someon'e book who has done the impossible. Since we set these "impossible" goals it just make sense to mirror someone else who has done the impossible too. After this conversation you're going to have so much confidence to make moves. Why? Because you're walking away with actionable steps. You have the confidence already in you....you just need someone to show you how to tap into it.
There's so much going on in the world and in your inner world right now that's it's hard to stay focus. Not to mention staying focus on our personal journey. Today's conversation is going to really drive home just how important it is to focus on THE most important person you know. You! Your journey is not just for you and we're going to talk about it today.
In this time we're living in NO is probably one of the most powerful you'll use. If you use it right. If you want your 21 better than you 20 then you're going to have to say No to some people, opportunities, and requests. However, it's pretty hard to say it and say it with meaning. Guess what?! I'm going to change that for you today.
Our home environment is so crucial for building and maintaining our courage to battle conformity. How you're being fed in your home dictates your actions outside your home. Most times people think they're able to mask who they are in the world without allowing who they are at home become noticeable. Well today we're going to have a conversation about this very issue AND discuss how to change your home environment. My conversation with Jazzie Mas is very inspirational, uplifting, and challenging which is exactly what's needed to move differently.
We're having a real heart warming conversation about the urgency behind you operating in your purpose. Yes, this is an URGENT matter! We need you and it's time to stop letting self doubt, fear, judgment, and insecurities get in the way of your blessings and being a blessing. It's time to stop making excuses and start doing the work! Let's go!!
This conversation will pull at your heart strings while powering you up to go after your purpose. There's so much going on in this world. So much we have yet to face, both good and bad. But either way we have still have purpose that infused in the mixed and it's destined to come to the forefront. I want to help you get through it feeling empowered, worthy, and capable. My conversation with Lexi will definitely show you and advise you on how to do just that.
Since we're going to talk alot about positivity, mindset, and emotional health it's important to talk about where it all starts. We're taking back to the very beginning of the line where our results stem from in order to understand how to change for purpose driven results. You'll find my perspective is different or maybe even new beause this topic hasn't been disected on this level. So let's learn and explore together.
This episode is going to change your view of gardening. For some gardening is relaxing or even theraputic. Well we're going to add another label to it: life's teacher. Through the power of gardening you're going to learn how to take the simple lessons and apply them to a strategy for operating in purpose. This is a fun lighthearted conversation with a LOT of actionable steps. So you definitely want to get your pen and paper and prepare to listen multiple times.
This week's episode with Jamal Vallair was FIRE! If you missed it, you missed it. But you can catch it by checking out the conversation, no worries. As a addition resource to our conversation about getting our brain right, we're going to talk about three words you should never use.
You'll get a glimpse from my book 31 Days of Truth: Manifest Your Passion, Power, and Perseverance as the foundation for today's lesson. You can always get an autographed copy of my book by clicking the link below.
Last week we talked alot about purpose and the importance of building a strategy to manifest our vision. Honestly speaking, after a rough and traumatic year we need a redo. We need to recalibrate, refocus, and restart because the execution of our original plan has changed. The plan itself wasn't changed due to the pandemic, just the execution. In order to execute to the best of our ability we have to get our BRAIN right.
Jamal is the perfect person to chat with for literally retraining our thoughts. This is definitely an episode to share. Also, I'll love to hear your thoughts so make sure to tag me on social media @lakitiawoodard to let me know.
This week we started the conversation about purpose. Over the next 11 weeks we're going to deep dive into what influences our decision to operate in purpose. But before we really get into it, I want to help you start the process of really identifying your purpose. Here are a few questions I've coached my clients through and now I'm sharing them with you.
Now you may not walk away knowing exactly what your purpose is and that's OK. It's taken alot to cover it up so I expect it may take just as much time to uncover it. What's important in this moment is your action to start the journey. I'm so excited for you to get started.
Last year was rough and for all we know this year is probably rougher. But we're not going to laser focus on the negative because we need to build a strategy to manifest the vision we have for our lives. Yes, the dreams you had coming into the new decade are still relevant and achievable. We just need to either revamp our strategy or build a strategy.
In today's conversation I'm digging deep into why this is important, what we're going to do about it and how. Hopefully you're ready for the ride because we're on this journey together!
Ok for today’s conversation we’re going to talk about the 4 reasons why your vision board didn’t work. Normally around this time you may get together with a group of like minded women for vision board parties. It’s possible you’re still are and maybe it’s virtual now. Well either way I want to prepare you before the next party because just putting pretty pictures on a board is not going to help you manifest what’s on it. I’m going to give you 4 reasons why so you can know what to do instead. Don’t forget to take notes….
This week we’re talking about how to rebuild your confidence during the pandemic. I know your confidence was probably depleted this year. For me as time went on, mine was for sure but we can rebuild before the new year. This pandemic hasn’t gone away and probably not for some time so we have to rebuild and tap into our inner resources for manifesting the life we desire and deserve. Remember you’re not alone in this fight and we’ll get through it together.
For this week's Moment of Truth we're going to talk about living through the consequences of your disobedience. This conversation is coming from a very personal place. I'm choosing to get really transparent and raw with you because you should know when you don't follow directions there are consequences. Sometimes the consequences doesn't look like what we thought and we mistake it for something else.
Well this is what happened to me and you're going to find out what I did and what I'm doing now. These are the types of conversations I have on social media. If you're not following me, you should all my links are below.
For today’s conversation I’m breaking down 3 steps to gain 2020 vision. Now this conversation I had either at the end of 2019 or early 2020 before the pandemic. We were entering into a new decade and so excited about getting clear on what life will look like the next 10 years. Then covid hit and took many of us by surprise and caused chaos for most of us to say the least. Well I’m here to tell you, you can still get clear on your vision. The information I shared in this conversation is still relevant now so definitely share this episode with everyone you know. Remember a rising tide lifts all boats!
For today's Moment of Truth I want to challenge your intentions behind operating or not operating in purpose. This conversation is important to have before we enter into the New Year. Despite what you think, 2021 is not the save all be all. It's very possible things will get worse for you before it gets better. But when you're in the middle of "worst" I need you to still choose purpose. In order to make the decision without hesitation your intentions needs challenging. So let's get into to today!
Over the next few weeks, I’m sharing with you conversations I’ve had on social media about mindset, confidence, clear vision, and vision boards to prep for 2021. My previous conversations are still relevant now and I encourage you to grab pen and paper for taking notes.
Today’s conversation we’re talking about how to change a scarcity mindset. I’m sure you can agree this is pretty relevant right now since so many people have lost their jobs, homes, family, and their sense of normalcy. I don’t want us to walk into 2021 feeling defeated on any level or in any area of our lives.
Since it's Thanksgiving let's take the time to be present in the moment. I know there's a lot going on, a lot has happened, and still more to come. However, you can make time to be present in the moment. For some of you this is hard to do because of all the distractions around you but in this episode I'm giving you actionable steps to do so. This episode is inspired by a friend of mine who decided to be present in the moment in order to show up for herself. Now I'm teaching you how to do the same.

For today's conversation we're going to talk about pivoting and shifting during our career to get in alignment with purpose. There's so much going on right now with the pandemic and the fate of our economy which is probably impacting your decisions. I'm going to say for certain these factors are affecting your decision, especially when it comes to your career. We're sitting down with Trishana Osbourne to discuss the highs and lows of pivoting your career and how it can lead to living a purpose driven life.
We're all stressed out right now for a myriad of reasons. Yes it's always good to talk about those reasons but action should we take next. Today we're taking time to learn three ways to reduce stress and overwhelm simply by using self awareness. Self aware is more than just knowing how you feel about something. Today you're going to learn a new way of using it as a tool to live your best life stress and overwhelm free.
For today's conversation we're talking all about food and how to use it to create and maintain a healthy body. I'm sure we're all in agreement that food is necessary for performing at our optimum levels. But what you may not realize is that food can cause depression and disease that can deter us from operating in purpose. Dr. Bobby Price is going to clear up some myths for you while re-educating us on what it really means to eat to live.
A lot has happened this year both good, bad and indifferent. Despite where you are right now mentally and emotionally it's time to start preparing for our next season. One of the most important yet hard tasks to do for this is letting go. Letting go is one of the most difficult things many people struggle with for many reasons simply because emotions are involved. Since I'm no different from you, I've battled with this from time to time as recently as last week. I'm sharing my experience with you talking about the roller coaster I've been on for the last two decades.
Today we’re having a very serious conversation about how our safety is so important to how we operate in purpose. We’re sitting down with self defense expert Tonda Linsey to discuss how self awareness will help us to survive a life or death situation. Proving once again the importane of tapping into your self awareness. It’s not only about figuring out “why” but also knowing the “what” and “how” so you can move forward into your next season. This is an episode you should share with every woman you love and admire. Remember to leave your comment below so we can continue the conversation.
For today's moment of truth we're discussing the importance of going back to purpose before this year ends. I've been really driving home this point and will continue to do so because I want you prepared.
The best way, dare I say only way, to prepare every area of your life for 2021 you have to go back to purpose. Today you'll learn how to start and for additional help visit lakitiawoodard.com/coaching.
Today we're taking time to talk about purpose. This shouldn't be a shocker right? This is the normal conversation around these parts. However, today we're talking specifically about running and building purpose driven business.
Through business talk you're going to learn the importance of staying planted in purpose so you can bloom right where you are. These principles are transferable to any area of life you find yourself struggling with. This is an episode you will want to listen to with pen and paper next to you. Let's do it!
Building a support team is something I'm always talking to you about. The last few weeks should have really brought home just how important it is to have community around you. There's so much going on in this world that's too much to handle alone. The good news is you don't have too but you will have to do the work to build your support team. You'll have to tap into your vulnerability as well to communicate what you need. For today's moment of truth Omari is going to talk about how important his community was to get through his traumatic experience.
Here's part two of our conversation on the Maternal Healthcare Crisis in the black community with Omari Maynard. If you haven't already please go back to last week's episode to catch so we can stay on the same page. This conversation is so necessary and relevant because in it there's hope, peace, faith, and strength. Some of the very attributes we need to continue to wake up face our fears and say yes to purpose. Today we're going to do it together because no one person should fight alone and we will go farther together. I'll love for you to join the conversation by clicking the community button in the show notes or below this episode.
We're getting down to the wire and 2021 will arrive in a NY minute. You're probably thinking "Yes LaKitia I can NOT wait". Well I'm here to let you know now is the time to start prepping for the New Year. It's not the best move to just wait and think everything is going to go peachy keen in 2021. We're talking a proactive approach and here are a few tips I'm doing. Feel free to take any or all of them and make them your own.
Today we're taking a moment to break from talking about the pandemic and recession to discuss another crisis. The Maternal Health Care Crisis in the Black community. I recently was made aware of this crisis a few months ago. Since I'm not a mother yet this particular crisis was not in my purview of issues that relate to me but that has now changed. I want to change it for you as well.
Even if you've had successful births and wonderful child birthing experiences this conversation still includes you. I'm challenging us today to look outside ourselves and our situations in order to acquire education on other issues in this world that can lead us to and keep us in alignment with purpose. Our conversation today is with Omari Maynard a wonderful brother and devoted black father.
Due to the length of this conversation and the importance of his story, our dialogue is broken into two parts. Today is part one and I encourage you to come back next week for part two. Also, please join the conversation by clicking the community button in the show notes or below.
For today’s moment of truth we’re taking time to break down what the process for operating in your purpose can actually look like. You might be surprised to find out it’s not all about just this one thing. Find out what that one thing is and understand how to recognize when you’re going the process.
As I write these words over 7M are infected with the Covid and over 210K people have died. We're living in a pandemic and we're all traumatized. Make no mistake about it this pandemic has and is affecting you, your decisions, and your character. Despite what this president is saying Covid is taking over our lives and in order to triumph we need to heal.
For today's conversation we're having the discussion on how to mentally heal from the pandemic with licensed professional counselor and ordained minister Ms. Frances Germany. I definitely want you to join the conversation because talking it out is apart of the healing process. Also don't forget to click the community button so we can stay in contact beyond the podcast.
Today’s moment of truth is pretty important to have based on what we’re experiencing right now in this economy. So many people feel alone, deserted, hopeless, and ignored. To top it off, life is not slowing down at all so struggles are still on the rise. While in a dark place it’s really easy to focus on what you don’t have and what’s not happening. This is tthe time to do the complete opposite. We’re talking about what that looks like today.
To make positive changes and grow as individuals it's important to reflect on our past and learn lessons about who we were and who we are striving to be. We all start somewhere and surrounding yourself with positive and encouraging people is an important step on our journey of self improvement.
On part 2 of this episode LaKitia brings on her best friends to take a deep dive into her journey of self improvement and becoming the focused and driven woman she is today. We start from the first time she met her friends and their stories about how they met and their first impressions of her all the way to present day and how their friendships have grown through the years. Developing and maintaining positive friendships is a crucial step in our journey to self improvement and operating in your purpose.

Today we're having a conversation about realignment. Between the pandemic, the upcoming election, and Breonna Taylor's murders still being free, we still have to get our mind right. We still have to do our part by operating in purpose and it's hard to do when your mindset is out of whack. With that being said, Lisa Song Sutton and I are going to share our methods for recalibrating to get back in alignment with purpose. It's necessary and needed and the time is NOW to do it.
For this week’s conversation we’re going there talking about how to chase purpose, navigating identity politics, building a community, and entrepreneurship while living during a pandemic with the fight for social justice in the background. Avoiding the hard conversations is only going to stifle our growth. Honestly, this conversation is stepping outside of my comfort zone because I’m having it in a very public way.
These topics I talk about within my inner circles but it’s time to voice my opinion to the masses. It’s impossible to hold myself as your self awareness coach if I’m not willing to talk about managing the external issues that can affect my internal beliefs and throw me off my purpose journey.
More importantly, I’m doing a disservice to you because this is a platform, our platform, to allow our voices to be heard. I really enjoyed my conversation with Lisa Song Sutton and I know you're definitely going to walk away with actionable steps to do right NOW!
Today I want to give you some motivation to make the necessary sacrifices for setting yourself up nicely for your next season. Sacrifice is something we're unable to avoid, like fear, in order to live the life we desire and deserve. Please understand there's a differene between sacrifice and depreviation. I'm not saying you have to deprive yourself of anything. When you sacrifice it's normally for a short period of time to propel you forward. Please find encouragement in Karee's experience with making necessary sacrifices to live, lead, and work in her purpose.
One of the biggest most sensitive areas we have affected by the pandemic is our finances. I know it's consider taboo to talk about money but as you know nothing is off limits here on the podcast. We're here for the hard transparent conversations. Honestly speaking, we need to get our financial houses in order. Now this is not another episode about how to create the best budget, or credit repair tips, or making a dollar out of 15 cents.
Having those skills and tools are important BUT money issues are really mindset issues hiding in sheep's clothing. So we're getting to the root of our mindset issues that's affecting our money so we can experience freedom for real this time. The best person to have this conversation with is my sister friend Ramesha Nicole!
On Monday I sat down and had a conversation with TK Morgan about pivoting your career during a pandemic. Well in our conversation she gave the secret to moving up the corporate ladder. I want us to focus on what she said because it will sound very familiar to you. Her advice will sound familiar if you've been listening to my conversation since the beginning. So if you have already definitely go back and listen to Monday's epiosde.
We're living in certain times right now. There are somethings that are certain and guaranteed. But you're probably not seeing it that way because life doesn't look familiar to you right now. It's OK. There's nothing wrong with change and people deep down doesn't mind change. It's just that change hurts. It's not easy. It may even cause you to isolate yourself for a short period of time.
So over the next few weeks we're going to have conversations around how to thrive in the climate we're in now. Thrive so we can still receive the blessings that are assigned to us. Thrive by pivoting and not pausing because "things" look a little different and you may work a little harder.
Today's conversation is about climbing the corporate ladder becuase the truth is...not every one wants to start a business. So take time to go grab your pen, paper, and journal so you can take some juicy notes!
This month we're going to talk about how to manifest our passion, power and perseverance for taking back control of the goals we set for 2020. I know there's a lot that's happened over the past few months. I also understand there's so much uncertainty in the time to come. But what I know for sure is what we do or don't do in this moment matters 6, 9, or even a year from now.
2020 is NOT over and we should pretend or act like it is. This is the time to take back control, shift our mindset, and pivot our plans to make this decade better than the last. Each Moment of Truth this month comes directly from my book 31 Days of Truth Manifest Your Passion, Power, and Perseverance.
You can get your autographed copy by clicking the link below. Let's keep the conversation going by leaving a comment below telling me how you will manifest your passion.
Living during a pandemic can really drain not only your energy but your confidence and courage as well. The last thing I want us to do is put our plans on hold. For some people, when the pause button is pushed on it usually stays on. Today's conversation with Karee Laing, we're going to talk about how to navigate the journey when there's forks in the road.
Every fork that comes your way doesn't have to be daunting especially if it pops up while living in this pandemic. Grab your pen and your paper to take notes on the gems we're going to drop. Even though this conversation happened over a year ago, it's still relevant today. Purpose never gets old or goes out of style so chasing purpose will never only be or turn into a "trend".

We're continuing the conversation during my brief hiatus for August about rebuilding our life. We can all agree the pandemic and the fight for social injustice has changed us in some way. For some rebuilding is the next step and rebuilding is not an easy feat. But it's possible and rewarding if you're open to the possibilities.
Lenise's story is one with many ups and downs in business and marriage but she's found a way to find purpose in it. Lenise is going to share her journey with us of going from a private legal practice to a product based luxury bag line Made Leather Co. This is an episode you're listen to over and over and share with the people you know.

Since the pandemic changed our lives, we've lost focus on few things. It's safe to say certain goals, priorities, or expectations were re-evaluated as we go into our new "normal". But what hasn't changed for any of is Purpose. Today's episode we're going to rewind our conversation with Patrice Washington on how Purpose is NOT an Easy Choice.

Family I don't know about you but these last few months had me on roller coaster. This month I'm taking a break to prepare for the fall. We're going down memory lane to rewind our favorite episodes to uplift our spirits and refocus, refresh, and restart to end the year on purpose. Today's episode is with Tiffany Lanier because clarity is definitely something we can use right now. Her words of wisdom are still revelant today. Enjoy!
For this month I dedicated it to you, my support family. This platform is where we can make our voices heard and encourage someone else to walk in their truth.
Today's episode is the first of it's kind here on the podcast. I'm doing a hybrid coaching/conversation with Paige Davis. This is my attempt to remove the mystery from what self awareness coaching will look like with me. Also, Paige shares some of what she's learned in my Master Life Class Strategize Your Vision.
The year is just trucking along and we've experienced some life changing events together. Currently, we're living in a pandemic, a recession is on the rise, and we're fighting to end social injustice for black people. That's a mouth full and due to these events we've lost jobs, loved ones, and hope.
But before you throw the last five months of the year away, I want to encourage you to just R.E.L.A.X. Yes, relax so you can get clear on the next best move to make so your year ends on purpose. In today's conversation, I'm going to break down exactly how to R.E.L.A.X. in the midst of chaos.
This week we're talking about boundaries. Obviously, boundaries are important because we're living in covid times but we're talking about them from a different perspective. You have to set your boundaries if you're truly going to live your life to the fullest on your own terms. A life without feeling judged, shamed, or unworthy. In order for boundaries to get put in place we have to start a conversation. The conversation starts today.
This week I'm jumping on the bandwagon to discuss the lates Red Table Talk with Will and Jada. I have a different perspective on their conversation. You're probably not going to see this coming. Or maybe you will if you've been rocking with me for some time now. I'll love to hear your thoughts and get a conversation going about it.
In this week’s episode we’re talking a lot about action. Putting action behind your decisions, behind your purpose, behind your thoughts so you can manifest the life you’re so faithful to pray for.You have to put action behind your prayers. It’s not about praying and forgetting about it. It’s praying then going to do the work and doing the work is not a sign you lack faith.
Actually it’s a sign of how much faith you have because you’re holding God to his word by taking action on what he’s downloaded in you. This week we're getting it our lives together so we finally experience the life we're praying for.
Let’s get back to the basics and talk about the ABCs of manifestation. I used these basic principles I’m going to share with you to transition from victim to survivor of sexual abuse and live a purpose driven life. We’re living in the digital/social media age that grants access to so much information it’s overwhelming.
By having this level of access we’ve grown so far beyond the basics, confusion is causing paralysis. I plan to end that today by sharing the ABCs of manifesting your vision because it’s as simple as ABC.
I'm dedicating this month to my listeners and supporters of the podcast. You all are sharing your stories of triumph, perseverance, and courage. Today I'm sitting down with Jacqueline Stewart to talk about how to maintain your identity and find purpose in life's transition. It's duplicative to say we're all experiencing a transition right now as we're living in a pandemic and fighting for social justice.
Now is the best time to have this conversation because you can relate it back to every area of your life where the enemy is challenging you. The more you fight change the harder progress becomes and it doesn't have to be that way. I'm interested to know the challanges you're facing. Let me know in the comments so we can keep the conversation going.
For today's Moment of Truth I'm sharing the results of my Enneagram. I was very interested to take it to see if the test can "read" me correctly. Over the years as I've grown, my personality, priorities, values, and goals have changed tremendously. Thank God for the better because I had no idea back then this is what I truely needed to live happily. Also, I thought it would be interesting for you to hear my results since we talked about them sporadically throughout Monday's episode. If you missed that episode you definitely want to go back and check it out.
For today's episode we're going to learn something new together. We're learning about Enneagrams and how we can use the information to live a more purpose driven life. Recently, I took the test for myself as a way to become even more self aware and work through potential road blocks that can lead to self doubts.
My conversation today is with an Enneagram expert and my friend Monique Scrip. She's very knowledgable and passionate about what she does and I guarantee you'll walk away with understanding something new about yourself.
For today's Moment of Truth we're talking about what it really means to Live Your Truth. It all starts with accepting and loving yourself first as you are. So many of you may struggle with being comfortable in your own skin. I want to make sure we tackle this issue for getting over the hump. Talk to me by letting me know what you do to stay comfortable in your skin in the comments below.
When you really break down the purpose of Living Her Truth it's truly all about being comfortable in your own skin. We hear the commercials that say be comfortable in your own skin but not enough on the "how". How do I become comfortable in my own skin when I don't really like the skin I'm in...or I rather not have the skin I'm in.
These are very important questions or thoughts many people are having all the time. In today's conversation I'm sitting down with Ana Rojas Bastisdas to talk about being comfortable in our own body for showing up authentically. This is super important for operating in your purpose because embracing purpose starts with loving yourself first.
So much is going on across the world. I know you've been on an emotional roller coaster like I have. You're probably got so caught up with the fight against injustice you forgot we're living in a pandemic.
Not only that but we're on the verge of a recession. I know many of you are ready to get back to your normal prepandemic or live as if it never happened, so I'm here to burst your bubble. We're still living in a pandemic and it's time to shift gears. I'm pulling words of wisdom from our beloved former first lady Michelle Obama.
With everything going on in the world right now on top of the personal issues you may have, self doubt is probably running rapid in your mind. I know for me it shows up when I'm being stretch outside my comfort zone or beyond what I've done thus far. I fall into the habit of doubting myself or my abilities to handle the task or assignment in front me.
If I just described you, this conversation is right on time. I'm sitting down with the Slaying Self Doubt expert herself Philicia Wallace to talk about how to recognize and destroy self doubt for operating in purpose. Philicia is a fellow podcaster. I had the honor to have a conversation on her podcast "Slaying Self Doubt" you can find the link to the episode below.
Today's moment of truth is special because I'm sharing with you my very good friend's poem. She wrote this poem as part of her healing processing from witnessing all the trauma especially in the last couple of weeks. Please enjoy this poem of healing called "We've Met Before" by Nnenna Umelloh
Before the Amy Cooper video and the murder of George Floyd, having a conversation about forgiveness was already on the agenda. Now more than ever we need to step into a place of forgiveness in order to heal and move forward in our fight against injustice.
Yes, I said we need to practice forgiveness because anger and hatred will only poison our intentions and actions. With that being said, let's really take a moment and have an open mind about forgiveness and how we can apply it to every area of our life. Please listen to my conversation with Tierashia Adair with an open mind and heart so we can heal from this trauma to continue the fight against injustice.
For more information on Tierashia Adair visit tadairenterprises.com.
My platform is all about teaching you how to operate in your purpose. I'm not about making any political statements because politics is not my lane of genius. However, I could not sit silent after witnessing what happened to George Floyd. Let me not forget to mention the haineous crime Amy Cooper committed as well that has been overshadowed by the George Floyd murder. If you're feeling helpless and thinking there's nothing you can do to end injustice then listen up. This episode is for you.
Leaving our mark on the world or making an impact on a huge scale is something most strive to do. It's an honorable gesture. The first place most people start is with their careers or in their business. But what about using your health as a way to leave your mark on this planet?
It's not a common question to think about. Well today I'm sitting down with health enthusiast Andrea Everline to learn the importance of our health and how our faith plays a part in it. You'll learn how to make a difference in this world without neglecting your health.
This is an important conversation for us to have because we want to experience true happiness and fulfillment. The best way to do it is by pursuing purpose in every area of your life. Definitely leave your comments so we can continue the conversation.
For the last four weeks we've discussed how to take a mental sabbatical successfully while practicing social distancing. It's important to have the tough conversations concerning mental health but it's even more important to implement a practice to maintain a healthy positive mindset. So check out any Thursday episode you've missed this month to learn all four tips for disconnecting in order to reconnect to self and your purpose.
Over the next two week we're going to talk about taking a mental sabbatical. It's important to have the tough conversations concerning mental health but it's even more important to implement a practice to maintain a healthy positive mindset. So every Thursday in the month of May come back to learn a new tip how to disconnect in order to reconnect to self and your purpose.
As we bring Mental Health Awareness Month to a close I hope you've been inspired to have more conversation about it. It's not a topic we should run from but run to because everyone benefits. This month we had some tough conversations and I thank you for joining the conversation. Trauma is not an easy topic to discuss but hopefully you now understand the benefit of doing so.
For today's conversation we're going to focus on our self worth. When you have a traumatic experience or dealing with a mental illness, it's possible your self worth gets attacked. Today, I'm sitting down with Katrina Jefferson to talk about how we can build our self worth after trauma.
We've had some pretty deep and honest conversations this month. I really hope you've been inspired to have conversations around mental health in your personal circle. Today's episode is pretty special. Let me clarify, all my episodes are but this one happened on purpose. I say on purpose because I was connected to Patrice through a mutual friend.
This is what happens when you operate in purpose and using the gifts given to you. People know how to bless you when you're operating in purpose. Now I have the opportunity to invite you into my conversation with celebrity Housewife of LA Patrice Curry.
Over the next three week we're going to talk about taking a mental sabbatical. It's important to have the tough conversations concerning mental health but it's even more important to implement a practice to maintain a healthy positive mindset. So every Thursday in the month of May come back to learn a new tip how to disconnect in order to reconnect to self and your purpose.
We're continuing the conversation about mental illness and trauma because May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Today I'm talking to a very brave woman who grew up with a parent suffering from a mental illness.
Later on in life she personally dealt with it as well. But like you Monique White was able to beat the odds by leaning hard on her faith and building a support team. Now she's a host and producer of her own TV Show. Who said God don't do miracles in today's time? Listen in on my conversation with Monique and get the boost you need to live your life purposefully.
Over the next four week we're going to talk about taking a mental sabbatical. It's important to have the tough conversations concerning mental health but it's even more important to implement a practice to maintain a healthy positive mindset. So every Thursday in the month of May come back to learn a new tip how to disconnect in order to reconnect to self and your purpose.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we're having the hard taboo conversations most people rather not talk about. We're starting the conversation talking about moving beyond surviving sexual abuse and/or trauma. Trauma has a direct effect on our mental health so important to have a conversation about it. Also, it's a great opportunity for me to go more into my testimony of surviving sexual abuse. I'm sharing memories I've never shared before.
I'm sharing because it's my purpose but most importantly "I love you' and I'm advocate for your purpose driven journey. My friend Rachel Grant reached out to be a guest on the podcast and it was a no brainer to have her on during this month. I truly believe there's something for you in this conversation even if you've never experienced a sexual trauma.
For more information about my friend Rachel Grant visit www.rachelgrantcoaching.com. Also you can check out my podcast episode on her podcast, Beyond Surviving, click here.
Before CoVid took the world by storm it was super popular to start a business and/or become an entrepreneur. Now we're in CoVid times more and more people are diving into it. Well KG and I had the opportunity to answer questions and respond to comments after our conversation. Here’s the behind the scenes of our conversation about launching a purpose driven business.
Before CoVid took the world by storm it was super popular to start a business and/or become an entrepreneur. Now we're in CoVid times more and more people are diving into it. Well I'm to tell you running a business is not easy so if you're going to do it make sure it's aligned with your purpose.
For today's conversation, I'm sitting down with KG owner/founder of the Nap Bar in Houston, TX. She's getting very transparent on the ups and downs of starting a purpose driven business despite doubt faced from the masses.
Today we're doing something a little different. I want to share with you the thoughts, comments, and answers from Monday's post. You're going to hear from the audience their thoughts about my conversation with Michelle Avalos on transitioning into entrepreneurship.
During this season of CoVid so many of you are debating whether or not to leave corporate to start a business. I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade but starting a business is not easy. It takes hard work and sacrifice. I don't care what anyone says sacrifice is crucial. In today's conversation I'm sitting down with my friend Michelle, who is a master connector at heart, and she's taking us behind the scenes of what really went down when she jumped into entrepreneurship.
Michelle is sharing the stuff most entrepreneurs are not sharing on social media. This conversatio is not to scare you but prepare you so you're fully equipped. Definitely join the conversation by leaving your comments below.
For today's Moment of Truth we're deep diving into Self Awareness more to really understand how self awareness affects our relationship with money. My goal over the next few weeks is to shift your focus from budgets, credit scores, and debt reduction because those are surface issues. We have deeper rooted issues and negative core beliefs preventing us from sticking to our budgets, affecting our credit scores, and using debt to fill voids. If we want to get a handle on our finances a holistic approach is necessary so lets talk about it.
Have you heard of the FIRE movement? Well I was introduced to it last September at FINCON19. I was blown away and literally almost came home and sold everything. LOL! Well not really but I did have a long conversation with my husband about approaching our finances differently. Needless to say, my whole perspective changed and after watching the Playing with FIRE documentary, I had to have a conversation with money nerds to explore deeper.
This is my second panel and techniqually first official podcast recording for Living Her Truth. This episode was recorded LIVE at FINCON19. Hopefully the noise in the background is not a distraction. However, this is an episode you definitely want to listen to and join the conversation below. You can follow Denis @TruFinancials April @aprilthemoneycoach and Jenna @nowjenna on Instagram.
We made it to April family. We're still quarantined in our homes but at least we're here right. April is financial awareness month so we're having conversations about money and business. Finances is a pain point for most of us that prevents us from going full out with pursuing our purpose. In this first conversation of the month, I did my first panel discussion on money and mindset at FINCON 19.
Me and a few money nerds went in depth on how mindset affects our relationship with money. Oh did I tell you this conversation was recorded LIVE at FINCON19? I was playing way outside my comfort zone last year. So listen in and join the conversation by leaving your comments below. You can reach out to Bryan @bucksandcents, Irnande @firstgenrise and Helene freetopursue.com.
In today's episode I'm totally going against everything you've possibly heard thus far. Many coaches and experts are talking about how now is the time to do the thing you didn't have time to do before. The truth is time wasn't the issue. When it comes to pursuing your purpose, chasing your dreams, or manifesting your vision, time is never the problem.
So having "time" now is not going to magically make everything better or you more productive, happier, wealthier, or grateful. There's something else we should focus on that's more important AND apart of the root cause of fear and procrastination. We're talking about it today. I want to hear your thoughts please leave them below. If you know someone that needs to hear this message please share and download with them as well.
My friend, my friend all things must come to an end. Today's episode is the finale to the Strategize Your Vision Series. I really hoped you enjoyed the vast conversations we've had over the last three months. We touched some really touch topics and had the conversations. I'm so proud of you for sticking with me thus far.
Through everything we've talked about having a champion mindset is sooooo important. You've heard an idle mind is the devil's playground right?! We don't want to give the devil more room to get comfortable and throw a party.
So we're going to get our minds right with my girl Erica Lynn Harris. She's going to teach us how to have a champion woman's mindset in every area of our life. Are you ready? Let's do it!
While in the middle of everything that’s going on the last thing you probably want to hear is “chase your purpose”. Family it takes courage to go full throttle despite what’s going on around you especially when it seems everyone is freaking out. But I assure you, you can continue it will take courage, accountability, and strategy. Sherhara and I talk in depth about courage and why it’s needed. Listen in on our conversation and leave your comments below.
If you’re ready to partner so you can build a strategy for living the life you desire and deserve check out this link for more information.
Over the last three months we've talked about the different elements and/or areas to focus on for building a rock solid strategy for manifesting your vision. One of the most important elements is having a support system in place. Today I'm sitting down to have a conversation with Sherhara about building a support system.
There's a common misconception that women are not able to work together. However, there are high achieving women who have amazing professional networks. So I want to have a conversation on how we can use our networking skills to build a support system for our personal lives.
I'm challenging you to expand your thinking when it comes to building relationships for pursuing your purpose and creating the life you want to live. After listening to this episode leave a comment so we can continue the conversation.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts about having an expansive support team oppose to just a few people. For more information on Champagne Show and Tell visit champagneshowandtell.com
Today's moment of truth is about building community by being transparent. I also open up about what I struggled with in the beginning of my journey that turned into imposter syndrom later. At some point I had to really become honest with my loved ones in order to release the pressures of being perfect.
For more information on how to build a community that supports your purpose driven journey, check out my master life class Strategize Your Vision. You can find more info and enroll so we can work together by visiting strategizeyourvision.com.
Living the life that we desire and deserve takes more than setting goals. It requires evaluating ourselves from the inside out to really get to know who we are and how we show up in this world. We also must take into consideration our environment and societal norms that impact how we live and what happiness looks like on an individual level.
Making the connection is not easy or comfortable to deal with but you'll learn the tools to do so. Dr. Shiquina Andrews is going to break it down for us in bite size digestible pieces that we can understand.
Healing is a journey I encourage everyone to embark on. It's an opportunity to rediscover yourself in a beautiful way. Healing equals freedom so much so that you can literally get overwhelmed. Yes being overwhelmed after healing is a thing and most people don't talk about it.
But today we're going to start the conversation because there's nothing wrong with feeling this way. It's a natural transition that happens to everyone. When this happens we tend to get confused about why we're feeling this way but we're going to talk about it. Then I'm going to give you a solution and how I can help you.
Trauma can affect you directly and indirectly despite how trauma is trauma is trauma and must get resolved. What you're doing in your life can postively and negatively affect somone else especially your children. Tkea is going in depth of her testimony on how childhood trauma she witnessed affected her mental health.
We're also going deep into what self care really means, looks like, and the trend it's becoming. Trends are great especially when it comes to self care becoming more popular, however, there's another side of self care we must talk about. So join the conversation and share your thoughts.
This week we talked about using self awareness to leave a toxic relationship with Chimere Norris. My conversation with Chimere was vast so I had to edit it down for the podcast. I want to share a truth moment from our conversation about having flexibility in your strategy.
Flexibility is something most people leave out when pursuing their goals so they get stuck, disouraged, and fall off because their plan is not unfolding the way they want it too. Well in my Master Life Class Strategize Your Vision you'll get a really great understanding on how to create flexibility in your strategy. Plus you'll learn how to build a support team that will support your vision and self awareness journey.
Unfortunately, there are many people who are living in toxic situations too afraid to leave or deathly afraid of the unknown. Just because you're living in a toxic environment doesn't mean you're not able to find the strength and confidence to leave for creating a better life for you and your children.
Most times the first step to making a leap into the unknown is letting go of expectations and/or ideals that you've held on to for so long. You may have to re-evaluate your beliefs, priorities, and/or values in order to see the obvious in order to make the best decision for YOU.
Yes, the best decision for YOU because once that decision is made it automatically becomes the best decision for your family. Chimere Norris gets very vulnerable with us today with sharing her story in order to free the guilt and clear up confusion for others who are in similar situations. I look forward to reading your thoughts.
For today's Moment of Truth we're going to talk about being comfortable being uncomfortable. This is a necessary evil so we're going to lay out some tools to help you with this particular task. Every life coach says this but I'm going to give you some understanding how to make this happen.
My word for this year is obedience. This episode is coming to you because I was obedient to the word and idea that was dropped in my spirit. I'll talk more about that in this episode. But please listen with an open mind because soul ties are real and prevent us from truly living our truth. What you may not know is that soul ties comes in many different forms.
Today you're going to learn a new definition for it to help you identify the soul ties in your life and how to break the connection. Please take a moment to join the conversation by leaving a comment below. I want to hear from you! While you're at it make sure to share, rate, and subscribe.
Today’s Moment of Truth might be a little uncomfortable only because we’re talking about being uncomfortable. We’re talking aout being stretched outside of your comfort zone, your definition of “normal”, and re-evaluating your safety zone. Are you ready for having the conversation and taking the steps to move forward. Let’ do it together.
Teaching our child how to advocate for themselves starts with how we advocate for them. It's a fact that we don't know everything; despite that fact it shouldn't turn into a reason not too. If you believe it or not, your child is watching you closely learning and soaking up good & bad habits on how to deal with the harshness of this world.
Today, I'm speaking with Educational Therapist DeJunne' Clark Jackson on how to use self awarness to advocate for our children. Moms, dads, this is an episode you want to listen with pen and paper for note taking. If you're not in a position to take notes now definitely listen a second time with your pen and notepad. For more information go to Learning and Fundamental Education on Facebook.com.
For some living courageously is a no brainer. Then you have my sisters and brothers who question this because they love the simplicity life can bring. Well in today’s Moment of Truth I want to have a conversation that stretches and challenges you a little. I’m very interested in hearing your feedback and starting a conversation so please downloand and leave a comment.
We can learn so much from our children if we just allow them to naturally evolve into the person God created them to be. As a Christian, I believe that God gave each of us a purpose and calling before we were born. It's important to allow our children to operate within their purpose, even at a young age. I think most times we don't give our children enough credit because they know and understand more than we think.
After talking to Hailey Fields, kid entrepreneur and author with her own day here in Houston, it's evident our children are very resiliant, smart, and driven. Grace Fields, mom and manager, confirms that it takes a village to raise a child and you truly can have your own identity outside of your children.
Hailey and Grace talk about their mother/daughter relationship and what it takes to keep the lines of communication and respect open between the two of them. I must say this episode made me even more excited to raise a child of my own. I want to you listen in and give your thoughts.
To check out Hailey's lip gloss line and grab a copy of her book "Journey through Sickle Cell" visit haileykisses.com.
For today's Moment of Truth we're disrupting limiting thoughts. We're officially in month two of 2020 and I want to make sure you're still working on your vision. You're invited to join us in the conversation.

For today's Moment of Truth I'm giving you 2 Tips to Keep you on track for achieving your NY Resolutions. Statistics show that by Feb. 1 most people have completely fallen off their NY Resolutions/Goals. I want to help you counter that today.
In order to get to the finish line you have to start. Every journey has a starting point but for some reason taking that first step is truly hard for some of you. On the flip side, there are many of you who probably are ashamed of your beginning because your end is so amazing. Or maybe your happy ending is not even a thought because you have no idea where to start.
Well my friend after this episode none of aforemention will stand in your way of manifesting your dreams ever again. My guest Salone Monet is very candid and unapologetic about where we started. More mportantly she's teaching us the importance of just starting right where we are. For more information about Salone and her beautiful shoe line every black and brown woman should have, visit salonemonet.com.
For today's Moment of Truth we're talking about feeling OK with being in your season of blessings. No need to feel shameful or embarrassed that you're in a season of blessings when everyone around you is going through turmoil. It's your time so take the time to embrace and enjoy the moments because the tables turn way too soon. Before you know it you're back on the receiving end of the enemy's attack.
We all have a story the world needs to hear but not before you're ready. No matter the story someone can benefit from hearing it and you can literally save someone's life by sharing it. Your story is not something you should hide or feel embarrassed about. In this episode we're going to talk about the power behind our story and how we can use it on our purpose journey. Everything takes time but with patience, determination, and resilience your talents and purpose will naturally transform. Everyone goes through a process, you're not being singled out because your journey is at a rough point right now. You can still use that experience to free someone else. If you don't believe me then listen for yourself as Tijania Goodwin creator of The Tijania Experience teaches us how to use our life experiences to empower others.
For today’s Moment of Truth I’m giving you three tips for starting over when you’re feeling discouraged. Take these tips, implement them, and go get your blessing!
Thus far we talked about gaining clarity on who we are so we can show up in this world authentically. Then we talked about why we should chase purpose, and embrace the evolution without fear. Now it's time to talk about the element that will help us to put all this together, discipline. You've probably noticed the common denominator is taking action. Discipline will help you take more consistent action in order to live the life you desire and deserve. LaShawn Gee, mindset and discipline coach, is going to share her story of triumph, how discipline was learned from her parents and how she incoporates it in everything.
This week during our Moment of Truth, I’m sharing a behind the scenes conversation with my girl Tiffany Lanier. Come back every Thursday for behind the scene conversations or hard truth you may not want to hear but need most!
Clarity work is necessary and a process that can take time. I wanted to make sure to start the year off with truly getting clarity on who we are. The way we're going to do that is by breaking down what is clarity, how do we gain clarity, and what it truly means to live in your truth. This episode is for you if you've been feeling stuck in any area of your life or if you're in need of a complete overhaul and need clarity on which direction to go. We're in a new decade and I truly want to help you make the next 10 years better than your last. Tiffany Lanier reonwoned inspirational speaker and Queen of Clarity is the perfect person to guide this conversation. Let's get into it.
You can catch up with Tiffany Lanier, Founder of The Morning Shift Co. across social media.

For most of us our first reaction to purpose it to run in the opposite direction. Why? Because purpose will cause you to something strange, look a little silly, and change in ways that challenge you. In this episode we deep dive into why it's important to chase purpose relentlessly and the impact you can have on a complete stranger's life and not know it. I truly believe that our purpose wasn't meant only for us but to serve graciously in this world. If you're ready to finally embrace and accept your purpose then definitely keep listening. I'm sitting down with Patrice Washing of the Redefining Wealth Podcast for real transparation conversation about the scary part of pursuing purpose.
Today is launch day of Living Her Truth Podcast. The journey to get here was fun, difficult, scary, sad, adventurous and exciting all at the same time. I'm so excited to tell you about the journey and continue the evolution with you. This is my opportunity to have the conversations I want to have with people and learning about their testimonies. OK since we're just getting to know each other. You should know that I love a great come up story. If you're anything like me you're going to love coming here every week. So please subscribe, like, comment, and share with everyone you know. Thank you for stopping by and listening!
