Emily Taylor the founder of @bluecollarbabes created this page back in 2015 originally to find other women inside of skilled trades.
The common theme amongst women is that they feel alone in there journey in their skilled trades as a woman. Simply finding women to relate to in their field seemed impossible, up until social media came along & has given those like Miss Manual & Blue Collar Babes to unite & showcase that the numbers are growing!
No this isn't to strike men vs women, the real agenda is to show the numbers of whats possible for women to come after them that stand today.
Where we live in a world it is more normalized to have these career paths as an alternative rather than being percieved as an outcast that belongs in the "kitchen"
Emily Tin shares her passion & why on her excitement to a part of the Miss Manual Podcast Roster & where her journey started!

Car Enthusiast
Races drones in her spare time
Kyrstie shares how her art helps express herself as a person. One of the common themes I have picked up & seen among st females involved in the car scene is there ability to creatively express themselves with some form of illustration. Its important to narrow down on this trend being that many lack the ability to express who they are & find themselves hiding there actual self.
This is an issue stemming from starting with the two points listed below.
The 1st point lies within the factor of comparing one another online & not telling the full story.
The 2nd layer lies within the comparison of feeling the need & urge to keep up with everyone & there car progressions.
In this episode a lot is to be learned through Kyrstie interesting perspective & how she strives to live her life.

Chloe Yonker originally fell in love with horses as a young kid.
She entered college to get a Agriculture business degree. Chloe realized that riding horses grew to become more of a hobby then a passion as she was arrived in college. Not knowing anything Chloe felt behind being she just switched & started having interest in the automotive field mid way in college. She didn't grow up with anyone in the family pursing anything automotive related. Chloe developed an interest & took it into her own hands to learn as she went & did not let her inexperience stop her from striving for what she found passion in.
Chloe now works as Diesel Technician at a Rust Truck Center located in Texas. She made it clear to begin with that she did not want to be behind a desk crunching numbers & would much rather be in the shop wrenching & exploring the trucks that came in. She persistently bugged the guys at the shop for a while & wasn't taken seriously for sometime. Finally they gave her a chance as a level 1 Technician ever since September of 2018.

Sophia proved the haters wrong!
"YALL OK, I just want to say... This was my first job in an actual shop at a dealer. I was SO anxious and a lot of people told me not to and that it wouldn’t be something I would end up sticking with. Guys at school used to make memes of me with my face that said “when you wanna be a mechanic” but I really graduated, I did that, even got a couple Student of the course awards and NOW I’m working at the job I was striving to achieve doing research and development for Nissan at the proving grounds. Like y’all... DO IT, whatever it is just do it, don’t listen to anyone but yourself. You might make a million mistakes but all that matters is setting a goal and getting there. Lead the pack, don’t fall in line. ".
