"Welcome to "Tubalon Detector"
I am Jacek Golanski.

Traveling is a big part of what I do.
Connecting with people is what makes my life worth living.
Traveling puts a time limit on human interactions,
so it is helpful to recognize worthwhile people quickly.
That's why I developed an efficient and swift detector.
I am calibrating my inner sensor for kind individuals
who think for themselves and bravely act on what they believe in.

That is a mouthful and sounds a bit too serious
so I will use a maid up Polish word czubalon.
Czubalon is a unique, somewhat eccentric individual whom I like,
or expect to become friends with.

I changed it to Tubalon for ease of pronunciation
and that's where this broadcast got its name from.

Between last month of 2018 and March of 2019
I was detecting tubalons in California.

I documented conversations, interviews and improvised comedy with 11 tubalons
approximately 9 episodes worth of recordings.

Those recordings will make the first season of this show.
