Northwood Temple Church presents an Easter Celebration that tells the story of two men—Jesus and His cousin John the Baptist—how they were conceived miraculously, and how their lives were intertwined prophetically and emotionally. John would eventually be called the greatest of all the prophets, while Jesus would prove His real identity—the Son of God and the Savior of the world.* Friday, April 18, 7:30 p.m. * Saturday matinee, April 19, 3:30 p.m. * Easter Sunday, April 20, 6:30 p.m.

Lexi from Fayetteville PWC joins us to talk about storm preparedness. Tropical Storm Debby reminded us that hurricane season will be upon us soon. So it is important to have at least 72 hours of food, water and supplies. Because as we learned during hurricane Matthew in 2016, it could take that long before power is restored. Today we discuss NC Lineman Appreciation Day which is Thursday April 18! It is important to recognize those who keep things working, or get things working again especially when a disastr take out the power. Also remember Time of Usage Peak Hours have changed to 3pm-7pm until October. Try to minimize utilty usage during those hours and shift laundry and doing dishes to Off-Peak hours so you can save some money.

WCLN's Dan DeBruler and Nicole Nelson from Operation Christmas Child discuss the organization's mission and achievements.
Last year, they delivered their 250 millionth shoebox to a child in Ukraine. This year, despite fewer participating countries, they aim to collect 22,000 shoeboxes, with the Carolinas targeting 1 million. Each shoebox gift leads to an invitation to a discipleship program, with an estimated three people coming to faith per box. The initiative, which started in the 1990s during the Bosnia conflict, now globally provides children with essential items and knowledge of Jesus.
The upcoming National Collection Week is crucial for gathering these gifts before Thanksgiving. Nicole shares inspiring stories of adults who received shoeboxes as children, and the host encourages community participation in the collection effort.
