Today's episode:Where were you on September 11, 2001, the day that changed America? With the 18th year anniversary of 9/11 this week, I decided to take a walk through the past to reflect on where I was at in my life at the time of 9/11. How I felt on that day witnessing that tragic event take place in our country. It was almost like watching a movie but yet it was REAL. It was 3000 people reality. With the anniversary coming up on Wednesday September 11, 2019, there will be many families still impacted by the tragic events of 9/11. When I reflect back on 9/11, I also realize how important it is for my kids to be informed and educated on the tragic events of 9/11 that changed AMERICA forever. Thank you for listening to JustNTine. God Bless and have a good day .

On today’s episode I will be speaking on “Suicide”. Suicide is a topic that no one really like discussing but in actuality needs to be discussed more often then never. I say this because in today’s society you are seeing more and more people contemplating or committing suicide. We as people often think that certain things will never happen to us or in our family so we don’t really think about it or discuss it until we get that dreaded call. Just this year, that was me. I didn’t know what to think, how to feel, started blaming myself, etc. It was not until it hit my address through one of my children I really didn’t think about it too much. Honestly, it effects you you more than you think but you have to stay strong, be there for your children, allow them to open up and talk about anything that’s on their mind. We need to be their support and guide them through this life. We are living in the last days so we need to be their light as long as we can because this world is showing nothing but negativity. Again this is my personal testimony through my experience with suicide and as always thank you for tuning in to JustNTine!

Today’s episode is about the meaning of being mindful. Through life I’ve learned that you have to be mindful of others. You have to be mindful of their feels, situations, experiences, etc. When you are mindful each action, word, and thought are conscious. Being mindful means taking responsibility for what you are thinking, saying, and doing – and if it is not the experience you want, you change it. One has to come to the realization that it’s not always about you and your feelings. Just like you would want others to be mindful of you, your feelings and situations, you should reciprocate and do the same. In today’s society, do you think people being mindful these days are non existent? I believe that it has become less important. Nowadays people only care about themselves, their own personal feelings and situations. They speak without thinking, they allow their emotions to get out of control without thinking if their actions are effecting others that are around them whether it be their co-workers, family, friends, significant other, etc. We all need to start back being mindful of others and treat each other how we want to be treated. We can’t just treat people any kind of way, say what we want to say and how we want to say it. Please keep in mind this is my opinion and we can agree to disagree. As always, thank you for listening and supporting JustNTine.

Today's episode is about school funding. My 11 year old son who is in the STEM( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program, brought it to my attention that there will not be any field trips this year due to the school district's budget from building the new 2 story Elementary school and the CTE center. Plus they have to pay the employees and get all the supplies needed for the school year. This is not a topic that the children should be worried about. Field trips are very important as well as fun and can used as learning tools.  We as parents, teachers, and the entire school district staff need to come together to fix this problem.  We have to put these children first because they are our future. Thank you for listening to JUSTNTINE podcast.

Today's episode is about a successful student athlete. This student is one who worked very hard and gave 110% all the time in all areas.

He had a G.P.A of 3.78 and unfortunately his scholarship was not renewed.  In today's world you have certain individuals who lack interest  in people for different reasons. So this is when we as parents have to teach our children that in this day and time you are going to work hard and give your all and not be rewarded. Thank you for listening to JustNTINE podcast. #TINE

Tonight’s episode is about the state of our youth in today’s society. As I work with them on a daily basis, whether I’m coaching or mentoring I see the youth these days think they should be rewarded for mediocre work. Back when I was coming up, we had people that pushed us to work hard. We were taught that we are not entitled to anything and nothing is going given to you. This day and time you can’t talk with emotion, get up in the kids faces, etc. without them getting in their feelings, wanting to quit or the parents getting upset. We have to step up and keep pushing our young people to work hard for everything they want out of life. They need to know that things will not just fall in their laps because they feel they deserve it. They need to know you have to work hard and produce to receive the reward in the end. I’m speaking on what I am seeing everyday. Let’s step up and push our youth to greatness. We can’t give up on them! There may be explicit language. As always thank you for listening and supporting JustNTine, it’s greatly appreciated!

While battling his own health issues, he is still pushing through and taking care of business. He will be letting the world in on his life and how the changes have made an impact on his life. Often times we don’t hear stories about how the single fathers are stepping up and handling their business so today’s episode is dedicated to them. Please take a listen to his story. Living in Fear: What Are We To Do? Who Is Protecting Us?

Today’s episode are my thoughts on how we as African American are treated in America and it’s getting worse by the day. From facing racism from the citizens on a daily basis to being killed by police officers who is suppose to be here to protect us. We as a race live in fear everyday! It has come to the point where we have to think about having the necessary equipment to prove our innocence (body cameras, video, etc). What are we to do? How are we suppose to feel? These are just my thoughts on what I have been observing. Some may or may not agree with what I’m speaking about but we can agree to disagree. As always, thanks for listening to JustNTine!

Tonight’s episode is about handling criticism. There are many people that can receive criticism and take it as something to learn from and make themselves better but there are also many that cannot take criticism and they be ready to argue/fight because they receive as being hated on or disrespected in a sense. It all depends on the type of person you’re dealing with. Well listen up, criticism is not always negative. There are many types of criticism and I’m just going to give you insight on how criticism can help you. Please know these statements are my opinions and thoughts. You may or may not agree but it’s what I know from my experience. There may be explicit language but please do not get offended. As always, thanks for listening to JustNTine!

Tonight’s episode is about the what we should think about when we receive information. Whether it’s from a person, books, internet, tv, etc. One should always think or say to themselves, “Is this source reliable”. Most people often take the things they hear or see and run trying to tell another person about it and twist the actuality of it all the way around to fit their perspective and it can be all the way wrong. We need to take the time out to really think about the things that are being said to us by someone. That goes for work, personal, etc. Ask yourself, Is the source a reliable source? These statements are my opinions and thoughts. There may be explicit language but please do not get offended. As always, thanks for listening to JustNTine!

Today’s episode is about Fatherhood. Thoughts are shared about the effects that fathers really have in the lives of their children. Some may have a different opinion and that is fine. I am speaking from experience, to have a father present and not present. Being there, showing the child(ren) support, letting them know that you will always be there has a lasting impression on them. It’s not always about the money. Truth be told, a children don’t remember the amount of money being spent but they do remember who is/was there for time. At what point do we as fathers put our pride to the side and be present in our children’s lives? Take time out to spend time with your children. Please keep in mind these are personal opinions and we can agree to disagree but I am speaking from experience. This can be a sensitive subject so there may or may not be explicit language used so please don’t be offended. As always, thank you for tuning in to JustNTine!

This episode is about the school system and the lack of accountability. I am expressing my thoughts on how the system is broken and they’re not being held accountable for the things that are happening within the schools. In reality, We set standards for the children to meet but are the schools meeting the standards that are set for them? I think not! Are the teachers there to teach or be friends with the children? Are they monitoring the classrooms as the should? Why aren’t our children being protected? Again this is my opinion being that I am in the education field. There may or may not be explicit language used so please done be offended. As always, thank you for tuning in to JustNTine!

Description Today episode is about the state of our youth. We are discussing the issues with violence within our youth in society today. Why are they turning to violence? What can we do for them? As a community, what are we going to do about it as a whole? Its time for less talking and more action. Its too many of our youth being gunned down, taking each other’s lives. When? The time is NOW! It’s time to take back our community and get our youth back on track to live a prosperous life. That old saying, “It takes a village to raise children”, it is still a fact. We need everyone in the community to support our youth!!! There may or may not be explicit language, but keep in mind this is a sensitive and passionate subject so please don’t be offended. Tonight’s episode were my thoughts on how people in today’s society turn difference of beliefs or opinions into hatred towards one another. It’s so mind boggling that we as people cannot agree to disagree and keep it moving. This episode is about young ladies from a local college who believe that they were racially profiled at their college dorm. The ladies will be sharing their stories about what happened and how they are left feeling. Again this their experience and I wanted to give them a chance to speak on it and share their feelings. There may or may not be explicit language.

Since we are in Black History Month. Tonight’s episode was about a very sensitive subject that we (the world) have different opinions in. Was the kneeling of Colin Kaepernick really a disrespectful thing to do? Personally, I do not believe so. That was his way of shed light to the issues at hand in regard to social injustice, racism, and police brutality against the people of color as well as his 1st Amendment right according to the Constitution of the United States of America. He was peaceful about his stance against the issues at hand, no harm was done except for him being blackballed out of the NFL but he gained so much just by kneeling. I was once told, “if you stand for something, you will fall for anything”. I have so much respect for Kaepernick and stand with him in his movement.

Tonight’s episode is a conversation with single mothers of different age groups allowing us to step into their lives and experience(s) as a single mother. This is not an episode to degrade, defame fathers (men) by all mean but it is a platform to let the single mothers to open and freely express themselves about their experience(s). There may be other single mothers out there that need to know that they are not alone, that need answers to questions that will be answered tonight, that need input on how to handle a situation, etc. you never know. As a product of a single mother, seeing my mother take care of business, take care of her children, working to provide. I just want to acknowledge the single mothers, give them a chance freely express themselves without being judged.
