In tracking down the resolution of another obvious discrepancy between the ages of Jehoiachin in Kings versus Chronicles we examine a wealth of biblically stimulating facts and stories.
We start with the opinions of textual critics and Bible commentators, which naturally leads into study of profanity, the profane, the abominable, the common, and the defiled in the Bible, and in the world today. We revisit the various counting methods employed by God, and offer a few thoughts on men who revered the Bible and why you should too!
For context we go back to Solomon and the division of the kingdom, the prophecy of Josiah, and against Jeroboam, the two prophets in I Kings 13, (the man of God from Judah and the old, lying prophet in Bethel), and one of the strangest stories in the Bible. Then we close with an examination of the term “the promised land.”

We examine the bible verses we’ve heard name the unforgivable sin, figure out what it was, and answer whether or not you should be worried about committing it.
We look at the passages we’ve been told name the unforgivable sin n Mat 12:32, Mar 3:28 & Luk 12:10. We then start by establishing the biblical concepts of sin and forgiveness in Genesis 50, and get to the root of why you might have wondered if you committed the unforgivable sin.
We establish that the title “unforgivable sin”, along with the words “unforgivable” and “unforgiven” are not in the Bible, and that even the Catholic Catechism leaves some wiggle room for forgiveness. And we discuss why both Catholic and evangelical church leadership might find the possibility of an unforgivable sin to their advantage.
We see what the scripture says about eternity, and God’s holiness, and why there can be no sin allowed in the next world. We then look at a few other Bible stories that contain what were clearly unforgiven sins, and answer why they’re not in the Catechism.
finally we reveal what it takes to be forgiven for the unforgivable sin today: Believe the gospel! Jesus Christ, the son of God died for your sins, he rose again, and he’s offering forgiveness and eternal life to anyone who trusts him for it.

This time we continue examining some of the passages called errant by critics, and some mistakes I’ve made myself in not having studied the scriptures enough for myself!
We examine several bible stories with a couple good questions to keep in mind whenever you read and study the Bible: “Is what I’ve always thought about this story true?” And: “is there something I’ve not yet understood?” We also give a brief explanation of that communion is and is not!
We ask if Paul was referring to himself, or someone else when he wrote about a man who was “caught up to the third heaven” in II Cor 12:1-10. (Hat tip to Paul Lucas). We discuss the date of the writing of Revelation and how John being in the Spirit on The Lord’s Day does not mean he was in a spiritual mood on a Sunday, but was seeing the 2nd coming.
We also bring up the idea that Paul and the prophets in his circle appear to have been tasked with completing the New Testament canon before Paul died according to II Tim 3:14-17, “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
We then look at Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac in Gen 22 and ask, “did God wait till Abraham was about to plunge the knife down into Isaac before stopping him?” And Why does God call Isaac Abraham’s only son, when Ismael was also Abraham’s son? And why the author of Hebrews says Abraham offered Isaac up, even though the story in Genesis 22 shows God interrupted the sacrifice. And how Abraham is an example of both faith alone, and faith plus works, depending on the dispensational audience.
We then ask why God counted “”the tribe of Judah only” as following Rehoboam at the division of the kingdom even though later we’re informed it was actually Judah, Benjamin, and a faithful remnant of the northern tribes as well. Why does God mark to the month Solomon’s building of the temple as seven and a half years, but then says “seven years” was Solomon building it?
And was Jesus in the grave for three days and three nights? Or did he rise on the third day? How can he say both? And did Jesus rise before sunrise or after? And why is the Bible not clear about it? Why leave room for any argument?
It’s that leaving room for an argument that turns out to be the lesson for this week. Let God be true, and every man a liar!

Examine with us the discrepancy found in the ages recorded for king Ahaziah of Judah. In Kings he’s 22 years old when he begins to reign. In Chronicles he’s 42. Is this a copyist error inadvertently preserved in the Bible?
We begin by laying out the obvious discrepancy, and talking about the methods of copying and preserving ancient scriptural texts, right up to modern times. We then discuss God’s varying methods of counting things and using names. We then take a side jaunt into the possibility that some of the people we read about in the Old Testament might be resurrected into the tribulation!
We take a look at Christ’s Genealogy in Matthew 1 and count the 14 generations the way God counts them. And we look at the omission of the names of Ahab and Joram of Israel as recorded in II Kings and II Chronicles.
We then examine the foundation of the House of Ahab, and the unwanted marriage of God into the kingdom of Baal via Athaliah and Jehoram of Judah. We nark the date of the start of Omri’s reign the way God starts it, and count the days to it’s end 42 years later with the slaughter of the houses of Ahab and Baal at the hand of Jehu. We utilize both the well known figure of “40” as a godly measure of time as well as the 42 years of the House of Ahab to explain the discrepancy of Ahaziah’s age between Kings and Chronicles.

In the Bible no one ever talked about going to heaven before Paul, in Romans, about 4,000 years after the creation, and after most of the events of the Bible were history!
Doesn’t everybody want to go to heaven when they die? And didn’t everybody always want to go to heaven?
Turns out no. Nobody did! (Not even Jesus, (at least not exclusively and forever)! This time we begin by examining one more example of the “goings in and comings out” in the Bible which leads us to the interesting fact that before Paul nobody wanted to go to heaven.
We start with the temple God will build in Ezekiel 43 and trace back where the Bible says God’s house was, what and where “the house of the Lord” is, and where God has always intended to live. Whether people lived there with him turns out to be an open question, starting with Moses, but then not with David, and then open again with Solomon. And the open or closed status of that question matters if you want to understand the whole story!
We then examine the prophetic scriptures that inspire even the modern day belief that the “good” get eternal life and the bad get eternal punishment. But we discover that in the Old Testament, the good never thought they were going to heaven.
We then examine the evidence in the gospels and see that neither Jesus nor the apostles, nor the disciples thought they were going to heaven, (even if they endured till the end).
Then we get to Paul’s epistles where we discover for the first time in then Bible the idea that anyone is going to heaven. And then we study out how that is and what we should be doing while we’re still here on the earth.

Ephesians 3-4
We begin with a review of the case Paul is making for his grace gospel. We read the momentous announcement of the revelation of the mystery, discuss who the “apostles and prophets” are who Paul refers to, and examine the nature of the age in which we live as compared to other ages, past and future.
We deduce that Paul likely wrote his letter to the Ephesians from prison. We study through what “access” to the Father means, and learn about the exceeding abundant power he is working in us, to teach the length, breadth, height and depth of God’s love that surpasses mere knowledge.
We look at what the unity of the faith is, along with the one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Hear Paul beseech us to walk worthy of our vocation, which is to make all men see the fellowship of the mystery so they be saved and come to THE knowledge of THE truth!
What does the Bible indicate the blood and body of our communion with Christ is anyway? And what temptations are there that God makes a way by which we might escape? And why are there so many denominations and disagreements among Christians today?
We’ll look at another “misquote” of the Old Testament by Paul regarding Christ’s ascent and gifts (received and given), the giving of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Also, check out one of the oddest literary analogies ever when when Paul implies that the joints of a fitted and compacted structure supply strength!
Finally we discuss the putting off of the Old Man and the putting on of the New.

Ephesians 2
This time we’ll look at what it means to be quickened, what the criteria are to be considered a living creature by God, and whether or not bacteria, insects, and even plant are alive or not!
We’ll find out about the prince of the power of the air, along with the word “air” as used throughout the Bible, Leviathan, the course of this world, and the children of disobedience. We’ll discuss the individual nature of the eternal salvation of the grace believer today as compared with Israel’s earthly salvation (through the tribulation and into the kingdom) preached before.
You’ll hear about our position in Christ in heavenly places, along with our destination, and our conversation while we’re on earth before we get there. Hear the difference between the circumcision made with hands in the flesh, and the circumcision made without hands.
Christ’s flesh was essential in abolishing enmity and breaking down the middle wall of partition, while our flesh is to be put off in order to operate the righteousness of God in our lives as we preach the gospel to others; that he might reconcile them as well, adding them and us to the latest addition being built into a Holy Temple and a habitation of God.

Ephesians Chapter 1
We continue studying through Paul’s Grace Curriculum with his letter to the Ephesians where we’ll begin by looking at how the Ephesian church was founded. We’ll talk about the now obvious fact that Paul’s letters often addressed two differing sets of believers: Jews saved under the prophetic kingdom program, and gentiles (and Jews) saved under the grace program.
We prove from the scripture that the notion of Apostolic Succession is a myth and a fraud, (God was the only one who ever chose apostles). And we observe the pattern for preaching God provided for us in Paul, (There is a God, and you need Him to save you from your sin). If a preacher leaves out the “sin” part, he’s preaching a dangerous false gospel!
We discuss “predestinated” versus “predestined”, Calvinism, Arminianism and Open Theism, Dispensationalism and how the Body of Christ cannot be a “Plan-B” since it was predestinated before the foundation of the world.
We introduce the scriptural backing for the idea that God’s foreknowledge does not include knowing who will go to heaven or hell, (or even what you’ll eat for breakfast tomorrow), but it likely did include the knowledge of a fall, (if not the particular timing of THE fall) and sin and death, and the requirement for redemption. But even so – before God created He was able to foresee every event and eventuality, and prepare a manifold plan to have the glorious victory.
We discuss the predestination of the blood of Christ, forgiveness of sins, grace, riches, wisdom, prudence and The Mystery. We’ll get the biblical definitions of being “sealed” and what it means that the Holy Spirit is given as “the earnest” toward the day of redemption. We’ll discuss what is means that we are “adopted” and what event is described as “the adoption.”
Hear about the power of the gospel Paul talked about in Corinthians being wisdom, enlightenment, knowledge of God and revelation! And how walking in these puts that power on display. Finally we look at what might be meant by the prophecy that the “increase” of the Lord’s Kingdom, and it’s peace will never end. How could it keep increasing for ever in a finite universe? We have one suggestion.

Galatians 4-6
Hear how two laws: The Law of Moses and The Law of Sin and Death reigned over all men before grace came. And how Jesus came with standing to redeem all men from the bondage of both laws.
We examine the significance of Paul’s references to the cry of Jesus in The Garden of Gethsemane: “Abba, Father,” and how Paul warns grace believers that the observance of biblical laws is equivalent to participating in and promoting pagan festivals!
We look at the infirmity in Paul’s flesh and his “temptation”, as well as why he was afraid of the apostasy he saw coming, (at least according to the King James English). Then we’ll discuss how Paul “flips the script” regarding the two covenants with Abraham against unbelieving Israel and the Judaizers.
Hear where then scripture proves Paul martyred more than just Stephen as he became a leading player in the fall of Israel. Find out who the bondwoman and her son are, and who the children of the freewoman are.
When Paul says we are to “wait for the hope of righteousness by faith,” does he mean we are waiting for righteousness? And if one is working for righteousness; who exactly is doing the work on who?
Who does Paul wish were “cut off.” And what causes us to use our liberty in Christ to serve and love one another,. Are there really commandments in Galatians? How do we exercise choices FOR God? How are we to “walk in the Spirit?”

Galatians Chapter 3
Paul gives another defense of his gospel of grace reminding the Galatians that he ministered by faith and not The Law! He warns of the Judaizers of his day and we draw an analogy to the grievous wolves of our day just as Paul compared them to witches of his day.
We examine suffering and perfection again in light of Paul’s ministry to the Galatians and make note that Paul assigns “the scripture” the ability to foresee, preach, and judge! We also answer whether or not Abraham could have been the first person in the Body of Christ.
Hear how Paul, Jesus and Peter all add meaning to Old Testament passages that simply wasn’t there before, and how Paul quotes the Old Testament out of context and changes the words to fit the newer revelation of the author. We’ll read how Joshua was the only Hebrew to ever hang a man on a tree in accordance with the law in Deut 21, and how Jesus was the 7th king hung upon a tree by the Jews in accordance with the Law.
Find out what law kept the Jews from the faith that was to come, and what law kept the Gentiles from the same. We’ll examine the only way to be free from The Law of Moses and the Law of Sin and Death is by the Law of Christ, ad how the baptism into Christ cannot be a physical baptism, but spiritual; in the same sense that putting on Christ and being one with him and one another is spiritual.

We conclude our study with the scri9ptural answer to: Are miracles happening today?
We begin by revisiting the sign of the blinding of Bar-Jesus and the salvation of Sergius Paulus, and move on to review all the miracles recorded in our dispensation.
Along the way we find the story of the prophets that gave us the Bible we have today, and it was neither the ante Nicene fathers, nor was it any of the so-called “church fathers”, or “church councils.” It was the prophets named in Paul’s letters! As documented by Paul in Rom 16:25-27, these prophets received and confirmed the the gospels, the letters and the revelation that became the “New Testament” section of Bible we have today.
We’ll ask which of the events, miraculous and otherwise are to be looked at as a pattern for our ministry today, and point out the danger of citing Bible veses in isolation to make a theological point or to satisfy our fleshly lusts.
We’ll see the miraculous signs given to the Jews, and experienced by the Gentiles. We’ll also see the signs of prominent Jews converted by Pasul to provoke them to jealousy. And we’ll see how miracles are part and parcel of the Law, and the Mosaic Covenant.
Finally: we’ll provide the Biblical answer to the question of miracles for today by proving that the God who cannot lie is not the author of confusion. And so He is not confusing His work to transform the believer’s suffering, patience, hope and faith into eternal glory by doing miracles today.

In Kentucky the criminally insane sex cult governor Andy Beshear is allowed to publicly molest children and the normal people are asking to revert to the psychotherapy that led to people like Andy Beshear getting elected in Kentucky!

And no matter what you do for fun, or how you spend your money, there’s always an end to it. And no matter how many people tell you how great you are, you wonder if that’s true sometimes. A lot of the time if you’re honest. And you wonder what your existence is all about. And what’s it all worth once you’re dead.
I know that after you have those moments when you ponder the sneaking suspicion of someone bigger than yourself, I know distractions, and the demands of your very important busy life, and your pride cause you to quickly focus on other things. But every now and again something happens that makes you ask again. And then life goes on for a little while. But something’s always there in the background, whispering to you about God. Am I a good person? What’s the purpose of my life? Why do I have to die? What’s going to happen to me when I die? Am I good enough to get into Heaven?
There is no logical alternative to an eternally existent Creator God. That eternal God created mankind and gave us the gift of life, (Gen 2:7) and His existence and life, are eternal (Ps 90:2). So you will never stop being. You’re either going to exist with Him, or apart from Him forever. (Dan 12:2) The reason God has and will exist eternally is that He is always good. (Ps 136:1) And He can tolerate no bad at all. (Hab 1:13) He hates it. (Prov 6:16-19) Because He knows that anything bad eventually makes everything bad (1 Cor 5:6), and He can never let anything bad into His eternal dwelling place. (Rev 21:27) That place is Heaven, and just as you had hoped, heaven does exist! and it’s wonderful! (1 Cor 2:9)
With all this in mind, there are a few things I need to tell you about yourself. And you might think I don’t know you, or I don’t have any right to judge you, and that my opinion doesn’t matter one bit. And since I’ve never died or went to heaven what makes me think I can tell you anything about it.
And about all that you’ve got a point. So if you think you know better than me just turn this off and go on about your day. But if you think it’s possible that you’re not the smartest person in the room, (1 Cor 3:18-19) that you don’t have it all figured out, and you’re interested in hearing from sources who’ve thought about, and studied these things a lot more than you have, then listen up. I’d like to help you better understand what we both already know is true.
So, let’s talk about you. But before we do, I’ll confess to you that I’m not as good as you might think I am. There are things I think about that I’d never tell you, and that I hope you never find out. And knowing this for sure about me, I also know about you; that you’re not nearly as good as you pretend to be. (Rom 3:23) I know that when other people tell you that your great, you intuitively know it’s not true. (Jas 4:17) It even makes you a little uncomfortable (James 1:15). In fact, if other people knew what was regularly going through your head, they might never come around you again, or they might want to call you a therapist, or maybe even call the police! (Rom 1:32)
And that’s because you’re a reprobate sinner. Now, you do a serviceable job convincing everyone around you that you’re decent. (Job 33:9) But in fact you’re not fooling anyone! (Heb 4:12) In fact, everyone around you is the same as you! And they don’t want to admit it either! And they’re just hoping they’ve got you convinced that they’re decent, even though deep down they know they’re not! (Rom 3:12)
And with all the efforts of everyone trying to convince each other, everyone avoids talking about what should be the most pressing topics for everyone, especially as we grow up and start to grow old: like what’s the meaning of life? And why are we all suffering and dying, even while we tell each other how good we all are, and how everything’s going to be OK.
The fact is everything’s not OK. The reason everyone’s growing old, and getting sick, and suffering and dying is because everyone’s been sentenced to death. (Rom 8:22) How do I know that? Because so far, every single person either has, or is going to die. (Heb 9:27) And no matter what a nice guy I think you are, at the end of the day you are going to die. And the same goes for me. No matter how much you tell me I’m a great guy, I’ve got a death sentence hanging over me. And the sooner we face why that is, the better chance we have of getting ourselves out of our predicament!
And I’ve already done that. Because I came to understand that couldn’t fool the God who made me. God made mankind and He made everything, and it’s all His, and it’s all accountable to Him, including you. (Mat 12:36) And He decided you must die, because He won’t let any bad into His eternal heaven. Death is separation. When your soul separates from your body, your body drops dead because of the separation. The one can no longer influence the other. And because you’re wicked, God must separate Himself, and His Heaven from you.
You might want to pretend you don’t believe in God, or tell yourself you’re not sure there’s a God, or that you haven’t seen enough evidence, or that you really want to believe in God, but that you’re too logical, and analytical and rational, or your experience growing up, or your education, or what your mom and dad told you… but that’s all hogwash. You already know there’s a God, you just resent His authority over you (Luke 19:14), and you’ve deluded yourself into thinking that maybe by not thinking about Him, or not acknowledging Him, that maybe He’ll just go away and leave you alone. But you know He’s there.
That which may be known of God is visible to you, in you yourself! God has shown it to you. The invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made! You know there’s an eternal, all powerful creator God, and you’re without excuse. (Rom 1:20) Maybe you’ve heard the phrase, “we hold these truths to be self-evident.” If you went to public school maybe not. That’s from the American Declaration of Independence. Where did they get the idea of self-evident truth? They got it from the God they all acknowledged to exist back when they wrote that.
God is in fact THE only self-evident truth. And all truth emanates from Him, and without Him no truth is self-evident despite what Ben Franklin & Thomas Jefferson wrote. For you to deny you’re aware of Him, is to deny your awareness of truth, and if you deny truth, that denial can’t be true, and so it’s just laughable. God won’t let you get by with that, so neither will I. Every one of us has a conscience that tells us the truth. (Rom 2:14-15) And every one of us has been accused of breaking the law by our conscience. And every one of us, at some point has chosen to push the accusation of our conscience out of our mind so we could have what we wanted, and do what we wanted anyway.
And the day you did that you pushed the Creator who sustains your very life out of your mind so you could indulge yourself. And Even as you did not like to retain God in your knowledge, He gave you over to a reprobate mind. (Rom 1:28). And so, you’re a reprobate. But you’re still alive! And for that you should thank Him. (Rom 1:21) Because if He’d taken you up on your insistence that He just go away and leave you alone? you would have dropped dead right on the spot! (Job 34:14-15)
But He didn’t go away and leave you alone, even when you kicked Him out. So you’re still alive by the grace of God. You’re still alive because He has mercy on you. He’s not willing to do what you wanted Him to do, and just leave you alone, because He knows you’re too foolish to always and fully comprehend the consequences of your own sin. (Rom 7:15) He knows that the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth (Gen 8:21) And so he’s giving you another chance, another breath, another minute, another hour, another day.
Because even though in your heart of hearts you know God is real, you deny Him anyway. And it’s irrational really. But God’s not going to render immediate judgment against you, because He understands that you’re at a disadvantage, having inherited corruption in your body from your earthly father. Who inherited it from his father, (Rom 5:12) which is why God had mercy on them for as long as He did. Just like He’s extending mercy to you right now.
And He’s going to stick with you a little longer, but time and chance happen to everyone, (Ecc 9:11) and there’s no guarantee you won’t die in a car wreck next week, or drop dead of an aneurysm, or a heart attack tonight. So you better get this issue separating you and Him out of the way sooner rather than later. And the issue is, you’re a sinner. You’re not a good person. Maybe you do good sometimes, (Mat 12:34) but you’re not good. You’re wicked. And you decided to push God out, and so you don’t deserve His life anymore based on your own action.
You need to listen to your conscience. You know you did Him wrong. (Rom 3:19) And you know you deserve to be separated from Him now. You know you’ve been selfish and prideful in thinking you can just ignore Him, or deny it and that somehow everything will be OK. But you need to stop denying this issue between you and God and face it. You need to admit you’ve been wrong, and selfish, and prideful. You need to admit that He’s the one who sustains your life and ask Him to forgive you for your sin against him, and all your sins against other people.
The same God who gave you the conscience that accused you is the Living God. He’s the creator and judge of all things. And even though you’ve denied Him, he’s willing to forgive you. The first step is to acknowledge that He is. (Heb 11:6) Then acknowledge your position as a wicked, helpless sinner (Rom 3:23) headed for certain death, (Rom 5:12) which you deserve. (Romans 1:32) Then ask him to forgive you. If you’ll humble yourself and ask, He’s faithful to forgive you, (1John 1:9) and He’s made a way for you to live with Him, for ever. (1 Thes 5:9).
His forgiveness is not merely a judicial act, based on a determination of your having rendered the appropriate humility. God’s forgiveness is given to you because of a promise He made to His Son. He promised His Son that if He was willing to give His life as a ransom for yours, that He would forgive you based on His Son’s sacrifice. And the Son of God in fact gave His life for you, even for you, even in that moment when you pushed the knowledge of Him out of your mind in order to indulge your appetites and lusts, even while you were telling Him to go away and leave you alone, inviting the very death you face right now, He was offering to die in your place. And He did it!
Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God, came to Earth. He taught and lived in perfect righteousness. (Heb 4:15) But the powers that be hated Him for it, (Mar 14:55) and so they had Him framed, arrested, beaten and prosecuted. And even though He was found not guilty (Luk 23:4) they condemned Him (John 19:15) and executed Him by nailing Him to a tree, and hanging Him on it all day until He died. (Gal 3:13).
He hung on that cross of wood, suffering for 6 hours, from 9 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon, (Mar 16:33), the whole time receiving in His body the punishment due you and me. (Rom 3:25). Then He died and went to Hell. (Eph 4:9). He didn’t sleep, or cease to exist anymore than you will. The same kind of human life that was in Him is in you. He took upon Himself the same body you have. He lived and died as the same kind of man you are (Phi 2:6-8) but He never pushed Got out of His consciousness to indulge sin like you have. And that’s why He could take His life up again, and He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to His father. (Rom 6:8-11)
And Jesus was conscious after His physical death just like you will be. The only reason human beings lose consciousness is because your body becomes tired and needs to sleep, or you get injured to the point your body checks out to spare you from suffering pain, or you get intoxicated with drugs or alcohol. But when you wake up, and sober up, you’re still the same you. Because your eternal soul was created to be a conscious, self-aware being; (Gen 2:7) a person, in the very image and likeness of God Himself. (Gen 1:27).
And once you shed this mortal coil you’ll be conscious for eternity. Either dwelling with God (1 Thes 4:17) or dwelling in the place God has in store for the devil and his angels. (Mar 9:44). That place is Hell, the Lake of Fire. Where everyone who pushes God away will go. (Rev 20:15) And you will be awake, aware, and endure suffering and torment for ever along with satan. And it’s not that God wants you there. But if you don’t want to be with Him, there’s no alternative. Refuse God’s offer of forgiveness in His Son Jesus Christ, and it’s hellfire and damnation for you, for ever! (Rev 14:11)
You can say I’ve got you all wrong. But God knows that’s not true. He knew it wasn’t true of me. God had me pegged, God knew I was just another rebel, full of pride and wickedness, headed straight to hell with jet rockets. When we get to the other side, I’ll wager we find out that I’ve done more wrong and hurt more people than you. But I faced my conscience’s accusation, and I admitted I deserved God’s judgment. There’s nothing prideful in that. It’s quite shameful and humiliating. I was afraid, and guilty, and ashamed, and I could have just dug in and ignored Him when He accused me. And I did. For a long time. Just like you are.
But on second thought, I considered what another man had told me; about God’s existence, His righteousness, my sin, and God’s forgiveness, and how Jesus Christ was a better man than me, that He was the Son of God. And he told me that Jesus says I can trust Him with the fate of my eternal soul. And all I had to do was believe; believe in what He did on that cross, and believe He’d be faithful to me even though I wasn’t faithful. And what that man told me rang true. And I believed. And I believe now. I accepted the offer. I hope you will to.
And by the way, in that moment that I believed, and God saved my from my sin and certain death, and eternal suffering and damnation? In that moment I believed, I didn’t do anything else. I didn’t give up any of my bad habits. I didn’t clean up my act, or go to church, or read the bible, or give money, or make a confession, or do penance or anything. I just believed. Because that’s all you’ve got to do is believe. (Acts 16:31) Just accept the offer. He’s faithful to take it from there. Believe the Gospel! Go where it leads. It leads to everlasting life in heaven. And I hope to see you there.

We conclude Job in light of the justification by faith of Abraham, David and Job, God’s demand to all men that they declare themselves unto Him. - Job was a believer, justified by faith, but he sinned, and his sin left him vulnerable to the devil.
- God did not curse Job, nor did He allow Job’s suffering any more than He allows anyone’s suffering in a world subject to vanity, not willingly, but in hope. And in His patient waiting, there will be suffering.
- The inaccurate and superstitious statements of Job and his friends are evidence that by that time man was in need of God’s Word in written form, so they could refer to it, and meditate on it.
- The book of Job is the record of what occurred, and how God responded, in real time, and in wisdom to produce the most potential for faith in the world.

Job 38:39 – 39:30
We examine the end of the creative, geological, astronomical and meteorological presentation of God’s wisdom and understanding with the numbering of the clouds and the bottles of heaven, and then it’s on the the zoological presentation.
We count the lion, the raven, the wild goat, the hind, the wild ass, the unicorn, the peacock, the ostrich, the horse, the hawk and the eagle. We see in them his wisdom, and follow His understanding through the scriptures, 11 animals in all, in anticipation of number 12, behemoth, and the 13th – Leviathan.
We’ll think about how God maintains everything all at once, and contemplate His omniscience. We’ll look at the prophecies of power, terror and majesty related to the lion; the picture of the Fall told in the raven; the goat as he symbolizes bounty and sacrifice; the deer and a picture of hope; the donkey and the three fold witness at the triumphal entry; the unicorn and his horn of authority unified authority and power; the peacock and the apex of humanity in the fallen world; the horses of judgment, and the white horse of the LORD’s conquest; the hawk bringing judgment from the north, and the eagle that can save, or scavenge.
