Jesus is ministering in Galilee because the Jewish rulers wanted to kill him for he claimed to be the Christ of God and made himself equal with God. The Feast of Tabernacles is at hand but his own family brethren did not believe in him as the Christ. These events happened that during the middle of the feast Jesus went up and taught in the temple and verified that he was the Christ of God.

Jesus walks on the water to the disciples. While Jesus was in a solitary place of prayer, the twelve disciples were constrained by the Lord to go over the sea of Galilee. While the Savior was praying the disciples were on the sea of difficulty. And in the morning watch the -I am-, comes to them upon the turbulent sea, and show himself to be the LORD of creation. He now show even a greater proof of his Messiah-ship.
The feeding of the 5000 was an opportunity to test the faith of one of the disciples. Philip was chosen by Jesus to be tested, and Andrew was looking on as they were challenged to trust the Lord to supply the daily bread of a multitude of hungry souls. This proved to be a teaching moment that would cause a little boy to give up his lunch that everyone could share a meal of God's blessing.
John gives certain encouragements to preserve the truth. His address is to the Elect Lady and this may have been a house church who had believers who gathered there. John was aware of her home and of the believers who gathered in the home. John therefore writes from one fellowship to another. Perhaps a sister church is also mentioned and her children and John uses the term children for believers. The encouragements to remain in the truth, to obey the commandment of Christ and remain true to the doctrines of Christ. Also John warns against false teachers who may infiltrate the church as deceivers who are anti-Christ.

Jesus travels back to Jerusalem to an un-named feast which probably is the feast of Pentecost. There is sees a great many sick, diseased and paralyzed,. He speaks to one such man who had been paralyzed for 38 years and asked if -wilt thou be made well--
This is the second sign miracle done in Cana of Galilee. The people looked for signs and wonders for they were very skeptical. Jesus wanted them to believe in him for who he was as the Christ and Messiah of God. This incident and healing would mark out a man of faith and that faith would grow and develop in so much that his whole house would believe that Jesus was the Christ.
Jesus takes the non- traditional route to get to Galilee, which would take him through an area that others avoided. She met with a man that told her all things that ever she did and she said you must be a prophet. This passage tells us much about what salvation is and Jesus gave her information that she would have to say that this is the Christ. The savior of the world.
John the Baptist was near the end of his ministry. Jesus and his disciples were baptizing in Judea and John was baptizing in Aenon. John said I must decrease and he must increase. The mathematics of serving is that we decrease and the Lord increases. We are not supposed to be anything and the Lord us supposed to be everything in our servant ministry. Job's complaint to Eliphaz. We sometimes need to go through trials that we may be better for it. His grief and his calamity he says are heavier than the sands of the sea. We ponder his case realizing that suffering is a part of life and trials and that Jobs tells Eliphaz that he has a right to complain. Job 6-1 But Job answered and said, Job 6-2 Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together-
Christ is the light that has come into the world. People either accept or reject that light. Christ is the true light and life and shows us the way to eternal life. Darkness is a type of sin and light is the type of truth and of Christ. Darkness does not want to come to the light lest their evil deeds will be shown to be in sin and darkness therefore hates the light of Christ.

Chapters 47-49 are prophecy by Jeremiah against the nations who brought idolatry into Israel. They now became conquered by Babylon as part of God judgment against them. Psalm 2 may also be read and applied to this judgment as we find that the nations rage against God's anointed. This Psalm may also be called a coronation psalm as it was believed to have been used when David was cornated king. Yet also speaks concerning the coming reign of Jesus.
We are to love one another as children of God, but if we do not love one another can we say that we are children of God- Consider the text and see what kind of relationship you manifest, of God or of the evil one. We are to rather manifest that which of God that we may show ourselves ans children of God.
Daniel is rescued by God, he was thrown into a den of lions because of his persistence in prayer and devotion to God. Then due to a conspiracy by certain counselors to the king he is put in jeopardy. A plot was made against Daniel but God preserves those who serve him, for he was a godly man of the LORD.
Hannah was waiting on Motherhood. God would use her circumstances and petition for a child to ordain the birth of Samuel who would be dedicated to the Lord at Shiloh. This providential birth would bring about one of the most influential Prophets and Priests of the period of the Kings.
Our likeness is to be in Christ. 1Jon 3-2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be- but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him- for we shall see him as he is. The world did not understand Jesus and they will not understand us neither. We will be morally just and live in righteousness and true holiness, when we will be with Jesus, in our glorified bodies. The life that we live now should have a sanctifying and purifying effect upon our lives.
Jeremiah predicts that Egypt would be humbled by God, and that Babylon would conqueror Pharaoh-Necho at Carchemish in the North at the Euphrates. This would foretell the judgment of the Gentiles and send strong message that God is sovereign over the nations of the world.
The fall of Babylon was great and final so did the reign of that great city end and in the Day of the Lord, God will judge that world system called the Revived Roman Empire. Daniel gives us a view of some things to come.
