Life is a wonderful thing it bursting with energy. Everything has energy or a vibration even a rock or that cup you are holding moves. It moves so fast or slow that we cannot see it. Just like we can't see the speed of light with our naked eye. In chemistry class there was talk of atoms moving so fast or so slow we could see it. If life is filled with vibrations and energy we must use it for our good. Speak life in everyone and everything you see. The positive impact may bring such an imprint on others and yourself that it will reflect and become contagious. Love and gratefulness is the highest level of energy and vibration that can be expounded and the best part of it, it is free. Send thank you cards. Look at everyone with a smile. Share a gentle caring touch, a compliment. This maybe the only offering of love a person my get for the week. Even when it is raining thank the clouds. Mother earth could also use some exaltation of greatness. The birds, the plants, the bees. They all have a specific duty to you. Your house, car and clothes should be gratified. The universe is listening. It gives you shelter, brings you here and there, clothes you and keeps you warm. Your self, some people say it is arrogant to pat yourself on the back. But your mind body and soul got you to where you are today. All these parts should be put on a pedestal. Even if there are short comings, maintain the thought of beauty for self.

"A mentor empowers a person to see a possible future, and believe it can be obtained" Shawn Hitchcock. Mentors have so much to offer you through spirituality, carer, business, social and personal perspectives. They can help guide, support, inspire and advise you. Mentors make you dream. A mentor will challenge you and is not afraid to tell if you are falling off course. They have a wealth of experience in the realm you chose them for, such as being a better husband, wife, musician, entrepreneur, mother, father student or author... They offer a different outlook on the same subect or task. They are also in agreement with your point of view and can bring you to a higher level. They are a resource, a giver, and a confidant.
Leadership is the ability to rally a group of people together and persuade them to take a stand for a specific purpose or cause. Northhouse (2013) stated that "leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal" (p.6). There are many different types of leadership styles and theories. Leadership is a form of power because it requires people to submit or be swayed to a particular position. It can be used in both healthy and unhealthy ways. We see examples of that with Enron, WorldCom, and the music industry with lascivious messages that are sent to youth. One must define the type of leader they want to be and exhibit the qualities and characteristics of that style. Join us today as we will talk about Servant Leadership.

Let's talk about goal setting and the process of turning dreams into reality. In the New Year, many of us set resolutions and goals we want to see materialize. If we have businesses, we strive to reach specific objectives such as increasing revenue by 30%, or obtain two new contracts quarterly. Of course each business is different, and goals are set based on the need and want. If you are on a career path, goals may be set to apply for positions that offer increased responsibilities and income, or to create and reach stretch goals such as taking classes in management or developing a process to increase efficiency or decrease inefficiencies. Maybe you have set personal goals to travel or purchase a car or a home. The key to reflection is consciously and mindfully taking time to think about what you want and writing out the action steps to make it happen. Let's reflect on 2015 goals as we prepare to enter the New Year with intentions set for success and high achievement.

Call in on Sunday at 5:00pm: talk and blog with us about your dreams, goals, and life passions.
We welcome you on this journey as we talk with Boma Akainy, writer and author of the book “The Heart Healer.”
My name is Boma Akainy, and I live in Maryland. As a citizen of the United States and having lived most of my teenage years in Nigeria, my eyes saw more than I could be comfortable with. So I took it personal.
My mission is to help people from all walks of life do better in any circumstances, or situation and outcomes through sharing mind changing information.
I want to hopefully help inspire women to stay strong. I want people to look at me and say because of you...I was able to forgive others.
I want people to look at me and say that because of you, I was able to let go of that abusive relationship. The easiest thing in the world is to give up, but holding it together, that's true strength and the inspiration came from my own strength.
Hoping that my shameful past will be a blessing to others.
If I can make a difference in one person's life, then that's success for me!
....Boma Akainy.

Join us today as we discuss the topic of Emotional Balance and Mindfulness.
Mindfulness is the ability and desire to consciously and deliberately take in the essence of the words being formed in your mind. It is the willingness to understand the intention behind the words being formed, and the choice to change unhealthy thinking when required.
Feelings allow us to express ourselves in ways that our brains cannot understand. The ability to think with your head and feel with your heart is truly a measure of balance. Once we can feel with our heart, think from our head, and understand the difference, we will gain better control over the thoughts we choose to think.
With control and mindfulness, we can learn how to open our hearts when the need to express emotions arises, and think with our heads when appropriate and know the difference.

Many times we have difficulty materializing or manifesting the dreams and goals we set for ourselves and often don’t know why? We think things like:
If my life were different than I could have better opportunities. If the people in my life would just change than everything would be okay. Nobody understands me or who I really am, if they did they would not treat me the way that they do. Other people are succeeding in life because they are either sleeping their way to the top or their family members own the company.
What we often don’t understand is that we are our biggest enemy. Our thinking gets in the way of us achieving our hearts desires. We call this thinking limiting beliefs. Come journey with us as we develop a clearer understanding of what limiting beliefs look like. We will also develop s tools to replace these beliefs.

We welcome you on this journey as we talk with Boma Akainy, writer and author of the book “The Heart Healer.” My name is Boma Akainy, and I live in Maryland.

Join us as we welcome to our show motivational speaker and Life After Retirement Advocate Geraldine Jones. She is a retired social worker who worked in social services for over 30 year providing advocacy services to neglected and abused youth. Geraldine states that she never really planned to retire but intended to transition from working with the county to working in private adoptions. Before she was able to make that transition, health problems forced her to retire and reevaluate her life. She was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy and realized she was losing her sight. She went into a depression and felt hopeless about her situation. Through spiritual support from her family, church, retirement community (where she lives) and coaching, she was able to slowly recover. She began exploring hobbies and interests (she didn't have or make time for during her career). She learned how to swim, play the organ, and became a public speaker, all after the age of 65. She is continuing to discover that there can be life after retirement despite medical, physical and other impairments that often follow the aging process. She speaks to seniors, those who are close to retirement, disabled, and youth about hope, change, and faith. Journey with us as we learn how to prepare and transition through the aging process towards retirement.
