Welcome to the Harvest Men Podcast. We believe like never before that Christian men need other Christian men to grow and stand strong in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Are you standing strong?
There are no successful "Lone Ranger" Christians, and if you want to grow in your knowledge of God’s Word and grow in your own faith, then join us weekly with other men who love God, love God’s Word, and want to make a strong stand for Jesus in their own lives. With application from the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15), we see how the spiritually dead are now alive—we are sons and members of God’s household, receiving the blessings and benefits of adoption (Ephesians 1:3-6). In Session 2 of our summer study, Nathan Delong (Deacon at Riverside Campus) shares about how the curse can be reversed in Christ. The Old Testament ends with a need: for the hearts of fathers and children to be turned to each other (Malachi 4:5-6). And this is ultimately met through the person and work of Christ, who provides redemption for our greatest need (1 Peter 1:18-19). If we want to reverse the curse, we need to: Revive (restore the men), Revere (fear the Lord), and Redirect (your past doesn’t determine your future). It's an intriguing song about being lonely in LA and thinking of moving back to NYC.
The hook for his lyrics, "I am" was borrowed from God Himself.
God declared to Moses when Moses asked who should he say sent him, tell them, "I Am' has sent you. Jesus Christ uttered the same words in the Garden of Gethsemane when He was about to be arrested.

We are divinely empowered and instructed to "walk in the Spirit" and walk in the freedom from sin and death that Jesus has accomplished for us. But, our flesh is still present because we live in a fallen world and we are not in heaven yet. Pastor Mike Jonker shares how the Apostle Paul warned believers to reject bogus teachings. This week Pastor Mike Jonker wraps of our study in the epic Book of Acts. But, "this is not a wrap". These last two chapters show us that God will fulfill His plans in our lives.
Paul, as he had hoped for and had been told by Jesus did go to Rome, the epicenter of the world. Paul encountered a real life storm of storms in the Mediterranean Sea on his way to Rome. Not a metaphor but a real life sea storm. One that should have killed him and all on board. But God wasn't through with His plans and purposes for Paul and the message Paul was to share about Jesus to the people of Rome.
Pastor Mike shares that "this is not a wrap". God isn't done with this story. God isn't done with your story and no matter how bad the storm is, God will keep His word and His promises in our lives.
