Thanks for Chatting Podcast

This is a podcast where I have a relaxed chat with people to get a little insight into their lives including how they look after their mental and physical wellbeing. The podcast is an opportunity for me to step outside my comfort zone and to embrace something new.

Cassie Nesbitt is a woman who embodies many titles as she goes about her everyday life. Neurologist and surfer are two that spring to mind immediately. She has crammed a lot into her life and through everything has tried to learn from experience. Cassie worked hard in her small country town of Rutherglen to achieve the marks required to enter medicine. She moved to Melbourne, married her childhood sweetheart and set about achieving her neatly mapped out life. Life took an unexpected turn when her marriage ended and she took stock of what she wanted out of her life and began to simplify it by turning her focus to what is truly important for her. She spends her life working part-time as a neurologist, surfing, enjoying time in nature, travelling, taking stunning photographs and embracing life with her partner Tom and her two adorable dogs.

I really hope you enjoy this chat with Cassie as much as I did, but I would like to note that we do discuss some dark times in Cassie’s life that may cause triggers for some people. If this conversation triggers any negative responses in you, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14
