The emeroo podcast has officially gone international. How exciting! For the 3rd episode we chat photography, balancing school and a creative hobby that’s much more fun, and the complicated relationship between photographer and subject. Chat with whom you may be wondering? Ragib Choudhury, the uber talented young photographer/biology student from Nottingham England who’s Instagram caught my attention many months ago. Throughout the episode Ragib’s passion for photography and biology (he gives me a very interesting biology lesson at some point), is overshadowed only by his pure passion for simply enjoying everything he does. Eden Sterling is without a doubt one of the most fascinating people I know. Not only is she incredibly bright, passionate and creative, but she has an aura about her that makes anyone she encounters feel appreciated and accepted. Though we do our fair share of gossiping off mic, for our emeroo podcast episode we dive into some topics that we believe need to become more commonplace in everyday conversation, especially among those of us who love creative industries like fashion and beauty; ethically sourcing clothing, the politics of high fashion, the benefits of meditation and so much more. We chat about her future fashion career, which I have newly found out might be put on hold to explore other creative mediums (call her indecisive, she is an artist after all), as well as a recent Reiki healing certification and an analysis of what see-now-buy-now truly adds to the fashion industry.
What a perfectly fun way to start this podcasting series. I strategically chose to record my first episode with a close friend who I knew would make the experience free-flowing, lighthearted and hilarious! We chat about her budding acting career, the EP she's in the midst of recording and the excitement of living during the fourth wave of feminism.
