Cheeze Pleeze is a weekly half hour comedy radio program, highlighting the worst music in the funniest way. Hosted by Snarfdude and Daffodil, their weekly shenanigans can often put them almost anywhere, and the music they play really does bring you the wacky, warped and weird every week. With radio magic often referred to as "Theatre of the Mind", their adventures have taken them to outer space, the north pole and even the local mall. They've gone from living in a van to a bunker, but do get back on the road in their van looking for cheezy music in thrift stores, yard sales, anywhere they can find it. It's a fun, foolish and entertaining weekly half hour program that goes pretty quick. It's even been called "a tornado on the radio" as it flies by so fast you wonder what you just heard. We look at probably the most famous man named "Thurl" out there, A quick trip to Hawaii for your ears, and a Limburger Lounge typical of the 1960s and 70s Lounge scene....we think anyway...we weren't old enough to stick our head into those dark liquor filled caverns of a largely forgotten culture filled with questionable musical talents of the ages. Wow...pretty descriptive for something we really don't know a lot about.
A Limburger Lounge spotlight delving into a world from a bygone era and you might be glad it's gone after you come back from it, Ukelele's make fun teaching instruments, and a Celebrity Slip up with a song about smiling, which celebs know how to do far too well, much like used car salesmen in this case.
This week, out of our "I can't believe someone listened to or bought this" file, comes the 1960s oddity that was Mrs. Elva Miller. Also, the guy who largely conducted his albums...and a fresh cheezy track in the limburger lounge that goes real bad right, before your very ears.
We are off to Broadway with a Celeb Slip Up Profile on a cast album with an actor not known to sing and a few cheezy songs to emphasize why, A classic rock song without sound classic rock like, and the Limburger Lounge goes a hard core 70s country lounge feel. Variety? the other radio stations don't know what cheezy variety really is...but you do.
