The mind needs instructions on how to operate. Unfortunately, people believe the way they think and feel is just the way it is. They have no control or say over their minds. This is not true. Your thoughts and emotions are what they are because of a past experience. That’s it. This is a subject that most do not want to talk about. There is a lot of shame attached to mental illness, which is why I am so open to telling people about my experience with depression. If you are experiencing difficulty, you are not alone. In this episode, I give some of the red flags that I experienced when I was depressed. I also offer strategies that I used to create a beautiful, loving state of mind. Depression is something you experience, it is not who you are. You can live a life full of joy.
