Each week, we pick a new theme and build a unique playlist around it, featuring great songs from a wide variety of genres, styles, and time periods. Hear our favorite tracks from the 1920s through those released 20 minutes ago. Listener picks and interaction is highly appreciated and encouraged! If all goes right, we'll have a few laughs along the way.
Our final playlist on WRLR, Mo and I want to wish everyone at the station a fond farewell. We are joined on this bittersweet broadcast by the rest of our Perpetual Playlist Starting Five, with Greg and Micah live in studio and Danlanta via phone! This playlist is filled with gratitude, as we play our favorite "thank you" songs to show our appreciation for the four years Perpetual Playlist has aired on WRLR. Adam delivers an emotional list of thanks to the station and many of its personalities, as well as the contributors and listeners that have made this program possible, as this is the penultimate playlist on WRLR. Though we are wrapping up The Teens, we thought it would be a good idea to dedicate a show to perhaps the greatest decade in music we've been around for: The 1990s. With a gigantic pool of songs to choose from, guest host Dino from Round Lake and Adam try their best to pick songs as they go that take them back to the 90s. Last St. Patrick's Day turned out to be quite special for Perpetual Playlist, as we hosted Lake County pub veterans, Terry and Greg Spizzirri for a live performance of Irish music and discussion. Sadly, Terry passed away in September after a lifetime of crooning and showmanship. While we plan on continuing our tradition of making a St. Patrick's Day playlist mixed with live performance in 2019 and beyond, this year we will honor the memory of Terry Spizzirri by simply making available this broadcast from 3-15-17, which features one of his final St. Patty's performances. R.I.P. Terry.
